The pasta, cider and the dessert were all just okay. Prices are quite expensive given the quality of the food, service and interior seating.

Great option while visiting Dartmouth. Although the inn is technically in Vermont, it is tight across the river from NH. The Inn consists of the original bulging and two newer additions. We shared in one of the additions. Even though it was new, the room still had that "inn" type of decor. We were very comfortable there for several nights. Continental breakfast is available for $5/po. There is restaurant on site that was only open on weekends when when we were there. We did fine there but Jaspers Ale House does merit a separate review. The staff was helpful with directions and recommendations.

This review is for a stay at the inn.... I LOVED this place! I was there almost a week and can't recommend it enough. The staff is delightful and personable, and will provide great advice if you're taking classes at King Arthur (which I also highly recommend!). History, beauty, and hospitality!

The pub onsite - this was Sunday morning. It's a bit more crowded on Friday night!

What a lovely place! The staff are as friendly and helpful as they could be, the room was spotless and charming, and our overall experience (three nights around the eclipse 2024) was great. We ate in the restaurant Saturday and food was very good. Would recommend for anyone in that area - Dartmouth is the next town over, and it's a very short 2+ hours from Boston.

My dearest friend since childhood and I stayed here as we were taking a baking class at King Arthur. We both have March birthdays so try celebrating in some way together throughout the ... em past 20 years. Yea, that's it I said 20 years, hahaha. It's a quaint New England Inn. However, it also has two outbuildings and we were put in one of those ... must be where the riff raff goes (just kidding). The room we had was great. It had two queen size beds. A secretary style desk. Chairs and ottomans. Good size tv. Most importantly a fireplace to warm my frozen butt. It was sooo cold! Bathroom had a towel heater. I was a bit weirded out by the shower not having a full door. However everything was clean. It's a hop, skip and a jump to the main building. Which has the pub and restaurant. They suggest reservations for the restaurant. We were unaware and not told at checkin so fearful we might starve they took pity on Us and said they would call our room when a table opened up. In half an hour we were able to be seated. The menu is limited but decent. I snapped a copy. I got the spinach salad which was heaped high and delicious. Also got a chicken stew that was more of a soup then a stew. It needed seasoning. Friend had the salmon Wellington which she said was very enjoyable. The waitress was pleasant. The inn staff were very friendly at check in and check out. We were even introduced to others who were taking classes at KIng Arthur. King Arthur is a short drive but a car is recommended. There is not much to do in the immediate area. Plenty within a quick drive.

If this place was in New York or Los Angeles, and I'd gone once or twice, I might give it 4 stars. BUT, I've been quite a few times and they're always incredibly nice and the food's always great. I hadn't been in quite some time (ie: before I even started reviewing on yelp!), and when I walked in was shocked to see the gorgeous renovations. So the place when from looking a little stuffy and dated, to modern, warm and inviting. Really lovely. Plus the staff is great, the food's consistent, they handle food allergies really well, and they handle my ancient parents well too. So that gets kudos from me.

Beautiful building and cozy atmosphere. Went for brunch while visiting a friend who recently moved to the area. He has been back multiple times for the fish and chips ($17). I opted for a single pancake ($5) with sausage ($4.50) and as a tourist was thrilled it was served with lots and lots of local maple syrup on the side!

I'm not normally a bread and butter before dinner gal but it hit the spot. I split two pastas, and one of them was okay, while the other was AMAZING. The chicken carbonara was a 7/10. Not a bad pasta, but nothing crazy. It really tasted like Alfredo pasta with a bit more savoryness. On the other hand, the short rib Bolognese was way better than expected. 10/10, honestly. The short rib was tender and melted in your mouth and the sauce wasn't just a standard marinara. It was richer, with a sort of creaminess and perhaps even a good amount of cheese. It was AMAZING. Definitely the spot to go in Hanover.

The positive is that we were able to put our name on the waiting list so we were seated right away once we arrived, having walked over from the Hanover Inn. Our table of six were mostly just okay with their food (burger, fish and chips, pasta). The standout item was the clam chowder which had plentiful clam pieces and a really good flavor. 5/5 The chicken nachos were pretty good 4/5 I suspect we will still go back to Molly's in the future because it is a Hanover institution and convenient, but I need to find what item to order that I will really enjoy eating.

Our hostess and later server, Leona, answered the phone and was extremely pleasant in letting us know she could get us seated. Leona recommended the Brussels and they did not disappoint with a perfect combo of roasted small Brussel sprouts with crispy prosciutto, goat cheese mousse and pickled red onions. What a great combo!! We also split the spinach salad which was perfect for winter with dried cherries, blue cheese, candied pecans and apples. We also had the artichoke fritters which had a subtle taste of artichoke and bits of tangy lemon. We split the ginger pork meatloaf and it was a creative, delicious take on traditional meatloaf. The flavor was reminiscent of the inside of a superb Peking dumpling. The dining room was decorated with beautiful area photos and there was beautiful display of custom designed knives that could be seen in a show case on the way to the restrooms. I took a photo because it may come in handy for a future gift for some aspiring chefs in my family! Excited to add Thyme to our list of stops in between our travels to and from MA to VT.
