The Nugget offers Saturday and Sunday brunch now; the chilaquiles are so delicious! We also ordered Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and it was so filling. Every time I come I'm always amazed by their service and food. It's a nice place to enjoy an intimate dinner. Sometimes it does get pretty packed at dinner time, though we're always able to snag a booth!

Very casual treatment upon arriving to dine alone, don't know if that was because I was alone or if they are always like this. The abrupt behavior continued throughout the order process. I ordered Nugget Nuggies (so-called "tempura" chicken) and a Cheeseburger & Fries. Botomless soda was a good thing, but it lacked big bubbles and tasted like Pepsi instead of Coke. I also ordered Meatloaf dinner to-go with mashed potatoes. The tables are really high in the booths, luckily they moved because it hit my belly!! They were quick to bring the soda, and did bring napkins. While I waited I had to listen to men speaking bombastically from the bar area and one table. The first soda refill was fast, but not the rest of them throughout my meal. The chicken nuggets were hot but dried out, the fries were skinny and not very seasoned, I asked for more Ranch to dip them in. I liked that the cheeseburger had a medium-rare option, but the burger tasted like nothing!! I had to add salt. Also, the romain lettuce got cooked by the meat. Meatloaf was very spicy and the mashed potatoes were garlic mashed potatoes. Neither of this was mentioned in the menu!! I couldn't even eat the mashed potatoes and had to drink a lot of water while I ate the meatloaf due to the spiciness. I will definitely not go here again. In fact the only reason I went here was because this was the restaurant where my late aunt and I used to meet up for our birthdays (she lived in Thousand Oaks and I live in Morro Bay - so it was sort of half-way). To be honest I can't believe it is still there all these years later, I suspect it is the regulars that support it, mostly at the bar.

I didn't even know there was a Nugget in Goleta until a friend recommended it. It was pretty crowded inside but we were seated right away. When I went to the restroom I noticed they have a huge outdoor patio in the back. Our server was super friendly. The wine was priced really well and they have a decent local selection. I enjoyed my burger. Probably not a new regular spot for me but if you're looking for a well-priced sit down restaurant in the area it has good vibes.

American standards for an American palate. Not really for foodies. I've been there 4-5 times with friends and everything is average. Club sandwich looks to be one of the better items. Meatloaf is...meatloaf. Grilled salmon tastes like the char of the grill, so not my style. Jalapeño poppers are good. $4 up charge for baked potato.... missed that detail, oops. Definitely a locals' haunt. Loud and popular, but solidly meh.

Went back again for weekend brunch. It was really busy and the service was great. Had the Prime Rib Benedict, Breakfast Burrito and the pancakes. Everything was fantastic

The space had plenty of seating. We ordered the Korean Nashville chicken sandwich, Chicken Parmesan sandwich, Mac and cheese, Cole slaw, baked beans, and banana pudding (not pictured). The Korean Nashville chicken sandwich was super tasty and had a good amount of spice. The chicken was perfectly fried and loved that it had a little asian fusion to it. Was a little thrown off by only one slice of bread being toasted, but it didn't change the overall taste. The chicken parmesan sandwich was on the specials menu, and it did not disappoint! Loved the bread roll it was on, and it was nice that they gave an extra side of marinara to dip. Out of the sides the baked beans were my favorite! Super tasty with bits of bacon. Mac and cheese and cole slaw were both solid. The banana pudding was also amazing! Super fresh and was a generous portion. Will be back!

Very warm, welcoming and professional staff. It was busy and the cashier/waitress handled taking orders, delivering food to tables and kept the customers informed that she would be with them soon and all with a smile. The chicken tenders are tasty, tender and a nice size. Good sauces too. Biscuits are mini biscuits, tasty but expensive for what you get. I would prefer to just pay for a regular size biscuit instead of $10 for 6 mini one-bite biscuits. My main gripe were with the wings. They are a nice size, but not tender and cooked with too much batter. You have to cut into them to take the batter off or else you get a mouthful of batter. Also, the meat itself is not seasoned. If they could improve the wings it would be a much better product. So for now, we'll stick to the tenders.

She decided she wanted to go to a steakhouse so we asked a bartender at a local bar what his recommendation would be and he mentioned Rare Society. Although I'd never been to Rare Society before, it wasn't the first time I'd heard the name. We actually have a couple of them down here in San Diego and though I've never been there, had heard good things about it. We made a reservation for that evening but the only thing available was on the patio. We arrived about 15 minutes prior to our reservation and the weather already began to cool off. As we walked towards the door we were greeted by the hostesses who also saw that it was my wife's birthday and they wished her happy birthday. We acknowledged that our reservation was on the patio but asked if it was possible to move to inside and they were quickly accommodating to this request. There was no wait even though we were a little early and we were led inside to a corner L-shaped booth. As we were reviewing the menu we were welcomed in by our server Tara who brought us water, offered us drinks and ran down some of the menu items available. For cocktails to start the evening my wife had a manhattan and I had a Woodford old fashioned. Both cocktails were expertly crafted and tasted great. For our appetizer, we had the hamachi crudo which was finely sliced hamachi with a perfect compliment of toppings including pickled pineapple which brought out the flavor of it all. For our main course, we decided to go with "The Associate" board which was recommended by Tara. It is served with three different cuts of steak, bone marrow, and three sauces. All of the cuts were prepared perfectly and the sauces and bone marrow were the perfect compliment. For sides we got broccolini with a creamy lemon sauce, miso glazed carrots and creamed spinach. All the sides we tried were great, but the broccolini and miso glazed carrots were definitely our favorite. To wind down the evening, Tara brought us a dessert menu to look over and although we were very full from dinner we did order two carajillos to sip on. Our dessert drinks were brought out quickly along with a perfect portion of ice cream with which I believe also had some sort of cracker inside of it. I don't recall exactly but it tasted great and was enough for us to split. This being our first experience at a Rare Society location was nothing short of stellar. The service from every employee from the time we approached the front door was exceptional, the food was amazing and was the quality that one would expect at the price point and the cocktails we had were top-tier. This was our first time up to Santa Barbara and I'm not sure when we'll be back, but our experience at Rare Society gives me reason to check out the one down by us as well next time we're looking for a perfect steak dinner.
