We had the cheese, pepperoni and margerhita slices. Seating is outdoors at wood tables. Soft drinks are in a cooler. Bathroom is at the public library or public bathrooms around the corner. Simply the best pizza in Marion County. Fairly priced, quick to order, and you don't get stuck with a whole pizza when you just want a slice. This place used to never be open pass 1 pm (I had to literally speed to get there, just to be disappointed many times) and now with the new owners rocking it out of the house by actually improving the pizza and be open consistently, I find myself eating there often. About the pizza: I can and will tell you that this pizza has everything. The rich taste of the tomato sauce makes me love this pizza and it doesn't overdo it like other places I have experienced. Good choice on cheese as it blends well with the other ingredients. The dough isn't overcooked or burnt like you get with most oven-cooked pizza, which is quite amazing. Also, it tastes and feels like they are choosing 5 star ingredients, yet the price is amazing on par with many of the pizza chains in the area. Also notice that it is in a modified food truck, similar to what you see all over the place in Portland, OR. That was a wise choice, making the old town of Silverton feel like it is starting to catch up with the times. I dare you to stop by and have a slice, I am glad that I did. Hours are bad, it's like they are only open when they feel like working. Wednesday-Saturday? Pick it up, hire employees (it's a small town, younger people could use a job). Half the time they are out of most of their varieties. The server seems to take too long talking with friends and dog walkers and not getting with the program; making and serving pizza. Pizza isn't rocket science, step it up. On a good note the pizza is pretty good, they just need to learn how to manage a business better. Absolutely delicious pizza!! This is great wood fired pizza. The dough has just the right combination of crunch and chew. So many places over cook and give a burned crust, but not The Old Oak Oven. The sauce is the second thing that makes the pizza. This pizza pleased everyone in the family, including the pickiest of my children, and that is a rare thing. We even went back and ordered seconds and nothing was left on the plates but our appetites. We had pepperoni and marghretia slices and were asked if we wanted just plain cheese for the kids but basil added for the adults. Very intuitive! The owners/waitstaff were so friendly and nice to our whole family. We felt so welcome there! And I need mention, I have been to nearly every pizza by the slice joint in the valley and in Portland, and this is probably the only one where you will spend $4 and still walk away hungry. They don't get very creative at all either, no chicken pizzas, no white sauce, pesto only on odd number days if the sun is at a certain angle. The pizza wasn't bad, what I had was good, but like Chuck said, just very light toppings, and I was finished eating the whole thing in under 2 minutes and I'm not a fast eater. read more

This was by far some of the best pizza we have ever had. We had trouble finding the location, as our GPS was off a bit. To make matters worst, we didn't realize that it was located in the parking lot. We are from California, so this was our first experience with Food Trailers (we have food trucks...)
