Best sandwiches in town. During this time of year I love buying the Turkey Delight wrap. It has Turkey breast, pepperjack cheese, Tomatoes, Mesclun greens & coleslaw. One of the most refreshing sandwiches on the menu you can get this time of year & you can't even tell there is pepper jack cheese in the sandwich. As I write this I have one eye open because I am in a food COMA. That deli knows what they are doing and the ratio from meat/ cheeses to bread to sauces- hands down PERFECT. I wish the place had more upkeep to it on the inside... especially considering the price you are paying for this food. On another note, however- I was told it would be better to just directly call the store to avoid fees. I know this is true but also why have that as an option if that's an issue. I don't think that's the first thing you address when interacting with a customer, let alone probably the first of many interactions. That was kind of awkward. Living down the road from this place, I decided to give it a try. In comparison to other delis in the Guilford/Madison area, this place left a lot to be desired. Came in for takeout and got the Black Forest Wrap on White Bread, and was left unsatisfied and paying more than I had hoped for. The wrap itself was smaller than I had expected and experienced at other locations. The wrap itself consisted of 50% lettuce, making up a bulky part of the wrap. It contained only a few slices of ham, tomato, and cheese which I was hoping would make up the majority of the wrap. Additionally, the honey mustard sauce that was used in the wrap was large amount, almost saturating the meat and cheese and overloading the flavor of the whole meal. The price tag for this item was about $12, which I believe was high for what I got. The service of the restaurant showed now issues, with the staff speedy and polite to all patrons. They prepared my food quickly in view and were very friendly. The ambiance of the deli was subpar, with a podcast/radio host blaring over a speaker at loud volume, which made it hard to think while ordering. I also saw no prices on the menu board when trying to order; there were places where prices had been originally, but had been market out with white tape. Will possibly come back to give this place a second shot later down the road, but for right now I did not enjoy my experience with establishment. read more

I have gotten lunch from here many times since I work close by. When they're having a good day, items are pleasantly tasty. However, on multiple occasions, I find myself having to chalk up my mediocre sandwiches to them having an 'off' day. Rolls that aren't fresh, sauce specifications forgotten, and menu inconsistencies are all things I have witnessed come out of this establishment. On the most recent occasion, a meatball parm sandwich was ordered and upon opening it, I realized there was no sauce. Simply meatballs and a few slices of cheese. It was an annoyance, and made for a terribly dry sandwich. Since I've gotten this exact item here before and thoroughly enjoyed it (when all the expected components are included), it was an extra dissapointment. Don't eat here if you're vegan! I had actually been a customer here for a long time. Until today, that is. I ordered a garden salad without chicken, and asked for some avocado and walnuts instead. I got a salad with chicken on it, and politely pointed it out. They said they would "remake it". The salad came back awfully quick seemingly without chicken on it. I asked if it had been remade, or if they had just scraped the chicken off of it. They said they remade it. I paid, left, went to the park and sat down to eat my salad. I found a piece of chicken in my salad, and the avocados were smeared with the spices and juice they coat the chicken with. So I returned, showed them the piece of chicken I found in my salad and told them I wanted my money back. They gave me my money back, but did not apologize and just said that the salad had been remade. Maybe they remade it with chicken again?! Just glad I'm not someone with an allergy. This place used to be good, but has been sliding big-time for awhile now. They burned my friend too. He ordered a salad with the chicken and got the chicken on a bed of greens and none of the other vegetables included with that salad on the menu. I'm not normally the type to be overly critical but this place missed the mark in multiple ways today. Placed an order for 3 sandwiches today along with some sides and kept it very simple. Ordered a crispy chicken wrap with just chicken and cheese, and the wrap had all the toppings, including dressing so my wife wouldn't eat it. Ordered a Reuben, which the menu says comes with Swiss, only to find it had American cheese on it. Who the hell eats American cheese with a Reuben?! Get to the deli to pick up our order and my daughter wanted a snack. Price tag on the snack is $1.50 while the printed price on the package says $0.50. Then noticed the product was past its sell by date. $40 later and nothing but mediocre, overpriced, incorrect orders and expired product. First time, last time for us. Good luck... read more

I see some negative reviews for this place, but I have to disagree. We got a reuben sandwich (hot) with corned beef, crout, cheese on rye bread. It was much more than my wife could eat but it was delicious and she ate every bit of it. I had a philly cheesesteak with the steak, cheese and sweet peppers on a Kaiser roll. A couple of years ago this place was in its prime, but now, it has hone down in quality. The previous owner had things done right, he knew the customer base and he knew what the people wanted. I have not gone here as much as i did for a few reasons but mainly it is the fact that they have gone down in quality. My prime example is the bread they now use. Its too soft. Also the cheese they use isnkimda funky,( this may experience happened at most twice, but it still deferred me away from here) I reccomend the 24, southwest chicken hero, or the #9. read more

The lack of consideration for customer's wait time is ridiculous. They have the door blocked off and nobody outside so the customers are just all standing in the sun hoping somebody will come out soon since there's not a bell or anything to signify that people are waiting. I got here in 15 minutes (like they told me on the phone) and waited 7 minutes for something to come outside, along with the 6 other people waiting. The lady comes out and gives me and another girl a very aggressive attitude. I'm fine with waiting, but just not in the 90° sun and with absolutely no reassurance on when someone would be able to take care of me. They should either keep someone outside (under the awning where there's shade) or have a bell or some sort of system so the customers aren't just waiting around aimlessly in the boiling heat. read more

I work in the area, driving around a lot, and occasionally stop here for something quick. I think it's the best place around if you want something quality in less than 10 minutes. Going around lunch m-f time can result a wait in line...people like me, and landscapers and other blue collars are getting their lunch. The food is great...when you ask for a turkey sandwich on a hard roll, you don't get processed turkey, you get turkey that has been roasted that day! Sandwiches are $5-$7, very reasonable. No place to sit, but if you take your food down the road you can eat lunch on the madison green. Ive never had anything other than sandwiches so i cant attest to the rest of the food. In end...it's cheaper and much better quality than Subway down the street. And, you'll be supporting a family business! read more
