Got a holiday gift card plus bonus for the holidays and decided to do a date night here for dinner. Our last two visits at the New Westminister location has been slightly off - the sourdough bread being cold and hard and our name not being called until the waiting area was nearly empty and we had to ask what was going on. So, we decided to go to the Richmond location as it has free parking and it's been awhile since I have eaten there. Luckily, we made a reservation ahead of time as the restaurant was full and the lobby busy with tons of families. We were seated within a few minutes of arriving and our server, Tyler, greeted us right after we sat down with hot fresh bread that was so good! Much better than the New West ones we have gotten, for some reason. My boyfriend ordered the spicy sauce spaghetti with salad and I got the Penne with chicken and salad. As we're starting our new year's resolution of eating better, we stuck with our waters. The service at this location was attentive, friendly, and speedy! Tyler was efficient, nice, and worked really hard juggling multiple tables but always kept tabs on us and we got everything we need. We also had several other staff check in on us - the service here was better than any recent Cactus Club or more upscale restaurants that we have been to recently. My boyfriend and I were seriously impressed! Now I'm a slow eater and this is well known throughout my family, friends, colleagues, etc. but the service was so quick and efficient, without feeling rushed, we left within a hour and this is after enjoying my included ice cream and tea. The bill totaled $40 including tax. With the bonus $10 card plus $25 gift card, we only had to pay $5 plus a generous tip to our fantastic server, Tyler. We left full, satisfied, and with leftovers. I came here for dinner and tried the Manicotti. The all-inclusive price is always a nice touch, and the portion was solid. The space was surprisingly good for conversation, even when it got busy, we never felt rushed or drowned out by noise. We ended up staying to chat for a while, and the servers didn't pressure us to leave, which I really appreciated. Service wasn't the strongest, but it looked like most of the team were younger staff who are probably pretty new, so I didn't mind too much. It's been a while since I visited this place in Vancouver area. I've never been to the one in Richmond, thought I'd give it a try. It's a family friendly restaurant. Lots of young family come here after bowling and movies. The location is great for its business , with a constant lineup. We waited around 20 minutes, then the host took us in. It wasn't as busy as I thought it would be, but maybe because it's so spacious inside. I like the old fashion decor, it brings people back in time. The food quality on the other end, needs some improvement. We ordered some house made salad, which tastes like store bought pre-mix salad, very dry and stale. The steam mussels were also very salty and overcooked, barely any sauce at the bottom. We ordered the Tortellini Pomodoro, which was also over cooked. It's missing that Al dente taste in the pasta dough, at least the cheese was freshly grated. Our daughter usually love lasagna, but she didn't like the one we ordered. Interesting enough she thinks the Costco brand lasagne tastes better! Overall. The food quality was rather a disappointment. At least our server was friendly and the service was great. I haven't been to this location, and honestly I normally would never go to OSF. But I now have a child and this is a very family friendly restaurant. So we decided to give it a go after playing at the nearby indoor playground. It's honestly exactly what we expected. Great service, kid-friendly, free bread and ice cream at the end of the meal. Obviously that comes with mediocre food.. but honestly it was even more mediocre than I expected. Everything is obviously premade and thrown together - quality is probably the worst Walmart quality you can find. The chicken was brined, dry and rubbery. I gave it 3 stars because honestly it is what we expected. The food is probably 1 star, decor 3 and service 5. So I'll average that out to 3 stars.. if not for the quick and friendly service I'd go with 2 stars. But gotta say weirdly enough my server forgot my kid's drink.. oh well. Another nostalgic place I visited with friends. Glad this place is still around ! Interior and exterior looks the same as well as most of the menu. There were a few changes to the menu, but they largely kept the same items. Dinner comes with garlic bread, salad, tea or coffee, and ice cream (spumoni or vanilla). Attended the old spaghetti in Richmond for a non Christmas party. There were about 40 of us and we had two waiters. Due to the reservation we were seated immediately. The waiters had a system to deal with such a large crowd. They were a bit slow until they got into their groove. Price includes soup or salad, the main meal, bread and dessert. Most items on the menu ranged around 20 to 25 dollars. There was plenty of food for everyone. One problem I had was that it was very noisy. There were no reservations for small groups so there was a lineup and a wait. I couldn't tell the time of the wait. Although I did not talk to everyone but the ones I talked to enjoyed their food and had no complaints. It has been a long time about 10 years since I was last there. The price for the food is not bad. Large space with tables can take up 20 people no problem. The waitresses are a bit panic at the time when we are checking in. We were party of 7 people and there were also 2-3 group of 12 and 8 people also booked the same time (6:30pm) Maybe try to book a bit earlier or later next time. Just love this place! Had the best service by a wonderful waitress that made our stay there so pleasant. We ate there at about 4.00pm after seeing a movie at the entertainment complex across the street. They serve the best Spaghetti and Lasagna. Love that you get complimentary Garlic bread and a choice of soup or salad as well as complimentary ice cream as desert. How good is that! Once there wasn't many people, while the other time it was doing decent business thanks to some larger parties during the holiday season. The menu is on one sheet, and it has its signature varieties of spaghetti and other pasta dishes. Many of the entree items include either soup or salad to start and a small scoop of ice cream for dessert. Got the chicken alfredo the last time I was there, and it tasted decent. After hearing so many good things about this restaurant, I had to try it. First of all this restaurant has such a fun house amusement park feel to it. With all the rides and trains. Literally you can seat in train and have your meal. Little me would've been crazy about it!! We ordered spaghetti and meat balls for main and chicken bites as starter. We got to Old Spaghetti Factory Richport at around 7pm on a Saturday after playing a few games of pool. We didn't think that it would be as busy as it was but the place was packed but after a 20 minute wait we were able to get a table. Then we placed our orders and the glorious sourdough bread with whipped butter came. I tell Grayson all the time I just come for the bread which is true because I rarely ever get to have sourdough on any other occasion. There isn't anything special about it but it's just so crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! Grayson hates sourdough so I was more than happy to have some of his share (and then take the rest home of course!) To start I decided to go with the minestrone soup and Grayson went with the salad. Their minestrone soup is a little on the salty side but it did have a handful of pasta and veg in it. Not something I come here for but good enough. Seafood marinara linguine: The seafood marinara sauce was almost florally but I'm not sure what it was from. The seafood was cooked well and there was plenty of shrimp, scallops and mushrooms to go around. The linguine was al dente and went with it all swimmingly. My only complaint would be that there wasn't enough sauce on the plate! As much as I love my seafood, I feel like the chorizo penne was the star of the show. There was so much chunky tomato sauce on the plate that we had more than enough to put some on our linguine too! The chorizo was smoky from being seared in the pan before being added to the sauce which gave it another element of flavor. We could have opted to put parmesan over everything but it was already fantastic without it! Last but not least is their signature sputmoi ice cream which is a mix of vanilla, chocolate and pistachio. I wonder if they sell it anywhere else because I've never seen it before but they really should because it's amazing! I mean you get the classics and something new all in one ice cream flavor! I came here with a group of 8 and was seated quickly since we called ahead when we were 10 mins away. However it wasn't very packed when we arrived anyways for a Saturday lunch. Our waitress was very friendly and after she took down our order the appetizer came quickly after. However, the entree did take awhile to come out. Probably 30 minutes that's the reason for removing one star. The pasta portion isn't family size so make sure to order one per person. I made the mistake of ordering one to share with my mom but I was still heavy after and I'm not someone we can eat a lot. Also we got ice cream in the end and it tasted icy like it have been in the freezer for too long. Overall, delicious food but I didn't like the long wait. Having lived in Canada for many many years now, one place I've always been fascinated with but never eaten at was the old spaghetti factory. We had an hour to spare before our movie later in the afternoon, so rather than driving all the way back to richmond, we decided to try out this place just across from the theatre. I had no idea what to expect, but I was really pleased with our lunch here! Their entrees include a full meal set, which included warm bread and butter, a salad or soup, and this pastacio/chocolate/vanilla swirled ice cream for dessert. (I was so into it I forgot to take pictures! ) I got the potpourri spaghetti, which was a mix of 3 of their popular sauces over pasta. The sauces tasted pretty basic, but still a satisfying meal and a decent portion as well. My friend got the vegetarian lasagne, which was pretty tasty with a green spinach pasta filling. We decided to spend an extra few bucks and get the French onion soup, and it was just not good. Salty and quite greasy, would not recommend. Looks like the value here has gone down a couple of notches over the last few years. Not to say the food is bad, but it's no longer a good deal. Parking is available in a smaller lot by this restaurant, or in the large main lot on the other side of SilverCity. For the last decade or so, they had a $20 (before tax and tip) Dinner + Movie combo. You got any type of meal, and one of those blue movie vouches for that price. The meal included soup/salad, the entree, and ice cream. Today I was in for a nasty surprise, as my meal came to $23. Looks like my clam chowder cost a $2.50 premium, but the waitress never told me that. If I had known, I would've just picked the minestrone. Factor in tax (gooooo HST) and tip, and I was looking at $30 for my portion of what can be described as a mediocre meal. Yikes! I can get a much cheaper meal at Ironwood Plaza. That was my first time to visit there because my friend birthday celebration. It was so impress about the restaurant style which was exotic . There was a fountain beside our table and a train in the middle of the restaurant , all of those particular facility made the equipment more coordination . The appetizer was steamed mussels which was so fresh and luscious , the sauce of caesar salad was appetizing .For entree food, we ordered a seafood pasta had different noodle with creamy creation sauce which was superb and a roasted grilled chicken breast was flavorful.Only one point, we weren't used to serving all the dishes at the same time , because we wanted to eat meals are still hot , we ate a little rushy. Finally, we ordered a chocolate cake and some ice cream for dessert , actually that was a surprise to my friend on that birthday. There were a few staff sang a special song to my friend. Went to the Old Spaghetti Factory in New West after my stepson asked to go there. The lasagna I had was worse than any frozen lasagna from the grocery store than I've ever had. The mussels for appetizer were OLD and far from fresh. It's very obvious that this is another chain restaurant that uses previously frozen foods and then merely heats them, and even a new line cook could be the "chef" here..... I always liked the white version over the red Clam chowders. The creaminess of the broth and how it makes the potatoes, velvety. Cream based soups always somehow transforms that ugly duckling of a potato into something grander. Ohhhh, Mmmmmm followed by a silent yessss would whisper from my parting lips after each spoonful of the soup. Eyes closed and a sigh. Ahem. Excuse me. Sorry about that. But the reality was my pasta. I got the usual corn pasta and Mizithra cheese and it was sadly a miss step in the wrong direction. Good amounts of cheese but NOT enough butter sauce. Result, dry and salty. Eeeww. ( and this is my GO TO dish) So I have to kick it back to a three, which isn't bad, but it could be better, and Hey, this is a chain which isn't known for its quality of food. I wish I could infinite stars for this place! I had just donated blood and felt suddenly faint when I arrived at OSF Richmond, BC. All the staff, especially Matt K., were beyond amazing. First off, they provided me a table in a closed section for privacy and to recover. Matt K. brought me ice to cool down, ice tea to get my blood sugar back up, checked on me every 5 minutes to see if I was ok and made me feel comfortable. Matt K. and his team were so friendly, non- judgemental, kind, compassionate and genuinely concerned. When I felt better, I ordered the seafood linguine and the salad. The pasta was really good and the salad was fresh. The sourdough bread came out piping hot and the spumoni ice-cream was the perfect finish. This is a family friendly restaurant that hasn't changed their formula but they don't need to. The decor is comfortable and the service is acceptable. Depending on what time you come over there will either be no waiting to get your seat or you might have to be waiting for a long time, even more than 90 minutes if you get there for a cheap Tuesday night dinner and movie combo. But if you are having to wait for a long time there is a pretty unique looking goldfish tank and an epic size scale to weigh yourself. Personally what I like the most about this location is the value of what you pay for. You can choose from the classic menu selection which includes either a coffee/tea to go along with your freshly baked bread with butter, then you can either have a soup or a salad that will come before your main entre.
