Very slow service and subpar quality. I've been coming here for years, but my last two visits have been very disappointing.

The last two times I've gotten take out it's been so below their standards. Grilled chicken sandwich was two small bits of grilled chicken & missing half the standard ingredients! Honestly if you're hungry for anything they have a big menu, but the food is average and there's nothing really overwhelmingly fantastic. Except the desserts ! Those are always bomb. read more

I was very excited to have my first Senior Citizen "blue plate" special in July 2018, at this establishment. I'm not from the area, and had wonderful real veal cutlet parmigiana lunch, which included a small side salad. I would have given them 5 stars back then. Today, April 2019, we ordered the same item, assuming REAL. Alas, a pink centered veal pattie ... ugh ... I knew it was different when delivered to the table with one sided toasted garlic bread hiding half of the plate, and no salad. That's when the waitress said they have NEW OWNERS as of January. I just want to give a shout out to the women who were working the take out area on Sunday (9/13/2021) evening. I had a decent size take out order of which the food was very good. It was very, very busy that evening, and one of the items in the order was missed which I had to drive back to the restaurant for. The manager was extremely apologetic which I appreciated. I felt bad because she felt really about it, so I told her no problem as I am that far away from the restaurant. It did not take long at all for the item to be replaced, so I appreciate the effort! I order from them from time to time and tonight I decided to get some takeout. Something simple, no annoying special prep. I get it home and it's burnt. Here's the most interesting part, I call to speak with the manager and he's already gone home for the evening. When I asked who was running things if the manager isn't there, I was told that there were cooks, servers and take out people. I'm sorry, what? A place of business with no manager that is still open?! No wonder my food was burnt, there is no one there/no leadership to hold people accountable. I will sum it up quick. This restaurant is under new ownership and it hasn't been very long, so most of the positive feedback you see here, was more than likely before the new owner took over. The food - not bad - the prices sky high. ON ANOTHER NOTE and the main reason I write this: The new owner is extremely disrespectful to his customers, and I am talking rude and obnoxious (a real buffoon and no manners to speak of) - so be sure not to ask any questions of him when you enter! Big fan of this place. Extensive menu with good sized portions. Service is usually pretty good, responsive and quick but you'll get the occasional server who's had a bad day and will share that with you while making your day bad also. That the main reason for the 4 stars. Food alone and selection would be a 5 but service is a big part of a sit down family restaurant. They do a.very good business here so if there is a wait, it's usually not long. They clear the tables for the next party quickly. My favorite meal is the lamb gyro meal that includes a Greek salad (chunks of feta on it!) and fries, which are very good. The best gyro I've ever had. read more

Pros and Cons here. Came in on a Sunday afternoon bike ride, service was Great got a seat fast, inside looked really neat. Had drinks fast and menu was huge! I was really looking forward to trying a Buffalo Chicken Calzone. Food came out really fast! Living nearby we have been here many many times over the past 6 or 7 years. This morning because one of us is laid up with back pain I placed our breakfast order "to go" Wow!...two thumbs down!!! I ordered the "Heaping pile of blueberries pancakes" It was more like a heaping pile of pancake The blueberries were virtually non existent and NO SYRUP?...nada! Worst karaoke DJ ever! Personally, she can't sing. She couldn't keep the crowd engaged and moved along at a painfully slow pace. Way too often, she'd turn on a mix and walk out of the building. If I could give this place a zero I would. We ordered takeout and when we got home realized they missed one of our sandwiches. Spoke to the manager and after him not caring one bit about forgetting our sandwich and expecting me to drive 20 minutes each way to get it and I quite "I don't care if you never come back here again". so I will take his advice and never go there again. I wish there was an option for zero stars. I only ever went here for the occasional party or because I liked 1 bartender, never was really impressed by the service or food. My boyfriend started working there the beginning of the summer, honestly sent friends and family there for him and they said how different things were and how great he was at serving and there were no issues. Well fast forward OTD is helping westcott employees who lost their job before the holidays but they go and fire my bf for sitting at the bar off the clock and eating a grinder. PATHETIC. Buyer beware. Their Sunday morning breakfast has changed. They have limited their menu. All I wanted was a breakfast sandwich (egg and cheese on an English muffin) I was told "if it isn't on the menu, we don't do it, we are trying to streamline our menu to be easier on the kitchen." Also, don't expect any "specials" Huh? 1st, you have all the components even as "sides" (Ie 2 eggs any way, add cheese and English muffin on side) Hell, I was tempted to order this way and just assemble it on the plate! 2nd how did a "breakfast sandwich" get cut from a breakfast menu? Wife got a just a side pancake/ side French toast. She didn't order home fries but as a "bonus" home fries were stuck to the bottom of the toast and pancake. In her mind, this "ruined" the taste. I don't really mind the home fries flavor added to something but I can understand where she's coming from. It does demonstrate a lack of control in the kitchen. The only thing I ordered was a Mimosa (and I went to McDonald's to get a breakfast sandwich afterwards.) The six dollar mimosa rang up at seven dollars on the final receipt and we were first told "however it rings up that's the price." The charge was eventually corrected but you have streamline processes, is it so hard to make sure the prices on your "limited" menu match what customers are charged? O well, A month or two ago, there seem to of been some significant improvements in quality and product. Not anymore. An "order what we have and the way we have it" isn't gonna fly for us. Better than your typical diner, very large restaurant. There are three separate areas, a larger dining room in the main area designated more towards families and casual eaters, a bar in the back for that crowd, and a separate bar and gaming room on the side for casual get-together s and events. Every single time I have ordered from this place since moving to the area 8 months ago they have screwed cup the order from leaving key ingredients out of salads to bacon off burgers that come with bacon on them! Since writing my first review I have been meaning to update. I really have come to like OTD. The waitress staff has changed since 2010 and the menu has condensed. Some people see downsizing as a bad thing: I disagree, I think that if you limit the menu to the best selections, it gives the patrons an all around better experience. Went for dinner last night with my Mom and son. The food was excellent! My Mom had the fried scallops and she loved them. They are the small scallops, which is the kind she prefers and they were perfectly cooked. My son had the grilled chicken Caesar salad which is his favorite Caesar salad around. I had the boneless chicken cutlet dinner which was HUGE (easily enough for 2 meals). But as good as the food was, the service was even better! Our server, Jenni-Lee, was a delight! Was very impressed with this diner, the decor of this diner is as good as it gets. Nothing fancy about it. They have pool tables, a large bar and there isn't any problem finding a parking spot. They have a great menu starting from breakfast to dinner entrees. Huge variety of food at reasonable prices. Went down with a friend, started off with their Fried Sauteed Calamari, cooked to perfection. I'm a big seafood type person, I love my seafood. Decided to have me the Whole Belly Clams, want to talk about a huge portion. This entree was one of the best I've had. Everyone here was very down to earth.
