They were also out of the black sesame cream, which was a bummer because my top choice was the black sesame latte. I chose to get the ube matcha latte instead. I'm not sure if I just caught them on an off day, but the whole experience was a little chaotic. First, as I was standing for the barista to take my order, she tried to give me someone else's drink. It took her a while to make my drink because she had to whisk up the matcha (honestly amazing effort as I was not expecting ceremonial-level prep). As I was walking away drinking my matcha latte, I realized that my drink was made with oat milk and not almond milk as I had requested. (I don't have an allergy but my body sometimes has trouble processing the oat and all the sugar.) The drink was still tasty, the ube syrup was very sweet and different from what you could get at other coffee shops. The matcha flavor was a little lost as a result, but it was still delicious. It's dimly lit with very little natural light. And the walls seem green screen ready. Jarringly sparse but would make a great Teams background. All that said, the coffee is decent.
