Upon walking in, I couldn't help but notice the aesthetic. The salon is immaculate, the floors were shiny and clean, and it totally gives off the high-end vibe. After signing in, they confirmed what services I was getting and brought me back. The person doing my nails was Paige and she couldn't have been more pleasant. When we got started, she confirmed the design and then suggested I get the gel builder vs gel-x and gave her reasons why. During the process she was extremely attentive, making sure I was satisfied with each step before moving on. Everything was fine and then it came time for the design. She nailed it on the first time! There were no struggles, hesitations, or sighs. She did everything with ease and was able to mimic the design the best out of all the other salons I've been to. Once she was finished, Olivia brought me over and did my pedicure. She was amazing and also super friendly. The massage chair was heaven and easily one of the best I've had whilst getting a pedicure. Overall, I was beyond pleased for my first time at the salon. While the prices are a tad higher than what I'm accustomed to paying, it does ring true you get what you pay for. A young lady at the front asked me was I "Stephanie" in which I stated my name and told them I was there for Chloe. Another young lady said I told her my name was Stephanie. Not sure why she would say that when I'm aware of my name. A short time Chole appeared and we got started on the service. I showed her the shape I wanted my nails and she nailed it. She was professional, efficient, and fast. This review is no reflection of her services but not sure if I will be back given the miscommunication in the beginning and sort of being blamed for the mishap. The laser treatment was completely ineffective, and the subsequent Enlighten Depigmentation System triggered a severe full-body rash approximately 2.5 years ago. The rash was so intense that it required rocky and enormous medical helps to calm it down. After that difficult period, I managed my skin issue on my own. Through more than 2.5 years of focused self home care, I successfully cleared approximately 99% of my melasma using a simple daily regimen centered on Vanicream products. The results came entirely from my self home treatment -- NOT from this facility. A. For Professionals: If a client discloses that they have sensitive skin, I strongly recommend implementing a 72-hour patch test followed by a 5-day monitoring period as a standard precautionary step. This is far more effective than relying solely on a liability waiver. B. For Future Customers: Laser treatments or chemical peels might provide temporary surface-level improvement and a short-term glow, but if underlying internal factors (such as toxin accumulation) are not addressed, pigmentation issues like melasma are very likely to return. In my case, the clinical treatments from this facility offered zero benefit and instead caused a severe reaction. C. Key Recommendations from My Experience: a. Sun Protection: Practice absolute, consistent sun protection every day. b. Dietary Focus: - Avoid highly processed foods - Minimize high-sugar foods - Reduce high-salt intake - Eat plenty of green vegetables and a wide variety of colorful produce c. Maintain well-balanced daily nutrition d. Incorporate Vitamin C serum into your skincare routine e. Stress Management: Incorporate daily meditation and deep breathing exercises to support overall detoxification. This journey reinforced that sustainable skin health comes from gentle, consistent self home effort and internal wellness -- NOT from the treatments I received at this facility at all.

While on the more expensive side of facials available in the St. Louis area, I definitely feel like the level of service was worth the price ($150 for Avani's essentials facial). The facial lasted almost 70 minutes and included a microderbrasion, intense eye treatment, a few extractions, dermaplane (so the airbrush makeup would look better) and many lotions, creams, and potions. I had been expecting to also complete a glycolic peel but I was told that I now had excema on my face, so that plan was scrapped. Instead I ended up with a long-lasting gel on my face to intensely moisturize my face. There was a short shoulder/upper arm massage toward the end of the facial as well. The facial itself was very relaxing and my skin was still soft and moisturized a week later!
