Indeed! The Corn Agnolotti comprised a toothsome house made pasta filled with Vermont cheese nestled in a rich Sungold Tomato Brodo (little bursts of bright tomato offsetting the garlic-rich corn-studded broth). On another visit, the Zucchini fritters transcended their name by a magnitude of 10; crispy Salt Cod Croquettes were elevated by a pickled ramp tartar sauce, fennel radish salad, and caper berries. The "cheesecake" was more of a crustless pudding with intense roasted peaches and a crunchy strudel topping. Shout out to Tatum, a fashi-forward bartender who executes Kris's deliciously balanced craft cocktails with verve & finesse while Kris flits back and forth, shaking, stirring, and socializing. I had both their "specials" - the fiddle heads appetizer and the Lamb chops... which were also served with fiddle heads, and a delicious risotto (I didn't realize the lamb was also served with fiddle heads, if I had, I would have tried a different appetizer - but that's my fault because I'm sure she must have mentioned it). Everything was amazing. Lamb was so tender and perfectly flavored. Boyfriend had the hanger steak and duck fat fries and loved it too. Says it's some of the best fries he's had! I'm not much of a dessert person but I like trying stuff at restaurants where I know it will be homemade. I had some whipped cream and butterscotch dessert and it was great - couldn't finish as I was full, but no regrets. We will be back! I'm used to traditional butter chicken which has lots of spices as we are big fans of Indian food. So the butter chicken did lack some depth. My companions also did not like their cocktails that they resorted to beer the next round.
