I was super hungover and needed a burger. And a mimosa probably. The place had a burger with an egg on it which is the best burger you can get when you're hungover. They also had mimosa. So I chalk this up as a win as the burger and mimosa resurrected me. I don't know what else you want me to tell you I was hungover and this place saved me from possible death. read more

I always enjoy my breakfast at The Broken Egg. It is my go to when I have friends in town & we want to treat ourselves. I love the fresh orange juice and the potato casserole is to die for. I usually order the Eggs Benedict which I just love, but sometimes I go for the french toast which is equally delicious. My toddler loves the chocolate chip teddy bear shaped pancake. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed & the service is almost always outstanding (I have only ever had one mediocre experience). The breakfast can be a little pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. read more

Incredible Staff. I went on a Friday before heading out of town for my grandmothers FUNERAL which happened to be on my BIRTHDAY! Rough week, I know. These people caught wind it was my birthday and surprised me by singing happy birthday with a candle in a blueberry muffin. They have no idea what this meant to me as it was the only Happy Birthday candle I received this year. So not only was the food great, as I wouldn't be enjoying another good meal for the next few days, but their kindness was with me through one of the saddest moments of my life. Have been here numerous times and been treated like family every time. Couple that with fresh and local food and you get a great experience. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great breakfast. Their biscuits and gravy are really good and the hash brown casserole is unique and delicious. Their lineup of skillets is nice - everything is full of flavor. My server, Doug, has a great personality and took great care of us. We'll definitely continue to ask for him when we go! read more

Unfortunately, my mother and I decided to try the Original Egg this morning for breakfast. We were both completely let down when it came to food quality, especially considering the price. My mother excitedly ordered the biscuits and gravy only to later tell me they were a major let down. I ordered the Bella skillet which was supposed to be cheesy hash browns topped with sun-dried tomatoes and mushroom and spinach. Sadly there were hardly any potatoes in the dish. I also ordered the corn beef hash as a side and I was even more let down. For 5$ I got a side of mushy undercooked and obviously canned corn beef hash. Yuck! I grew up on canned corn beef hash but it's only palatable if it's cooked to a crisp, otherwise you'd might as well eat it straight out of the can. That being said, our server was sweet and she was attentive, my mom and I just both agreed for the price the food was worse than what we could make at home ourselves. We won't be returning and are looking forward to Kekes opening up just down the street. read more

Eggs were over done, her plate looked like a $3 breakfast when the brought it, mine appeared it had set,, mine was barely "tolerable"!! Hers was barely edible! I'm a local and this place nothing more than a basic place at best ! Had a waffle and an Orange juice $13 ouch !!! Seriously $4.50 for Orange juice, that is way over the top for a glass of OJ. Ohhhh and the best was when I asked for real maple syrup she told me it was $2.50 for 2oz......WTF ! NEVER heard of that one. I said wow that's a lot she told me Ya it cost us more, I said ya I'm paying for the food it should come with syrup that I enjoy..........Won't be coming here again ever, the nerve of some businesses to take advantage of the customer anyway they can......Just like the airlines do....Horrible. read more
