Tap House Tavern was one of the highlights of our Ocean City trip! My friend and I stopped in during our road trip for a late-night meal, and we were pleasantly surprised by how fresh and delicious everything tasted. We ordered burgers, wings, soup, macaroni salad, and drinks, and every item was flavorful and made with care. Even though it was late at night, the food tasted like it had just been prepared in the middle of the day--fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The service was equally impressive. Everyone was kind, welcoming, attentive, and efficient, making for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. If you're in Ocean City and looking for a great place to unwind with good food, cold drinks, and excellent hospitality, I highly recommend Tap House Tavern. Decided to try Taphouse Tavern after driving by many times. We just came off of the beach and were hungry for lunch. We were very happy with our experience here. Will, the bartender, was friendly and knowledgeable. Had a good selection of beers and cocktails. I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich which came with a side of pasta salad. I was a little disappointed at first to find it deep fried because I don't think it said it was prepared that way on the menu but it was really delicious! It wasn't too terribly spicy and the bread was amazing! It was served on a delicious seeded roll which I believe is sourced from Philadelphia. Hubby had a cheesesteak with a side of fries. He enjoyed it. I only ate half of my sandwich and a portion of the pasta salad, I think it will give me another two meals. We will be back! read more

After a game of mini golf, I came here with 2 others for a bite to eat. It's pretty small inside, and very loud for my old ears lol. We were able to seat ourselves. It took a bit for anyone to come take our drink orders, but in all fairness it seems like only the 2 bartenders were responsible for serving for the whole place. I ordered the shrimp and corn tacos. Some of the best tacos I've had in a long time. The sauce that came with them was perfectly seasoned, as well as the blackened shrimp. I love the flavor that the corn added too. I also had a bite of a Big Mac taco that someone else ordered. They were delicious too. Overall I had a good first impression and honestly I haven't stopped thinking about the shrimp and corn tacos since I left haha! read more

Ok we are locals and come in sporadically and every time the servers are way more interested in each other than their customers. The food is no longer good enough to justify the poor service. Every time the staff are huddled together either with other staff who are off the clock drinking or just chatting with each other while we wait for service. We are done - we could be weekly customers but maybe we are not cool enough or young enough but whatever the reason - we are done. Good luck. read more

Great good, good food. Very average customer service. My party of 2 and I went to this location for a quick meal before starting our evening. For starters, we did not expect the establishment to be so packed. Honestly, if you have a concern for COVID and if restaurants are following CDC guidelines, I am not sure if this is a good find for you. Personally, I am vaccinated and comfortable with most circumstances presented. However, a person in my party was not and was uncomfortable with the amount of tables occupied surrounding us. Not one table was held for the secured 6-feet social distance rule. Our service came slow, as it appeared as though there was only one available cashier/bartender/server/ food runner in the building. Just seemed as though we saw one person running the entire time with these already packed tables. The food was mostly average (shrimp aside) and overpriced, as I would agree with other reviewers on their pricing concerns. Would I return? Probably not. read more

Unfortunately our visit resulted in no meal. We walked in and seated ourselves according to the sign. There were no servers, just 1 bartender. After sitting with our kids waiting to even place a drink order in an empty restaurant for 20 minutes, we were told they had zero chicken (which 3 of us planned on ordering some type of chicken). We ended up leaving. It would have been nice for a sign to be placed on the window so we didn't make our kids sit around waiting for nothing. read more

Stumbled upon this place driving by and stopped in for a drink and a light dinner. Sat at the bar and had the "Tapped-up fries" (cheese fries). The ambience is that of a neighborhood corner bar, friendly and cozy. Staff is helpful and service was good. The place was pretty full on a Thursday evening in August. The only negative was that the fries were overcooked to the point they were crunchy and dry. Obviously left in the fryer too long. But overall this seems like a cool place and I would recommend it if you are looking for a quick casual place for a drink and some bar food with a smile! read more

Picture it, Sicily 1925, no wait... Friends, this place is legit. We walked in after a table of 18, yes 18, had been seated. There were only a few empty tables. I said to my bf, we might be waiting a while, he said, let's give it a chance. I've been to this restaurant before and always had good food and service so I went with his suggestion. WORTH THE WAIT! We were greeted within 2 minutes, had drinks within 5. They took the other reviews to heart and added extra staff. My mother and I went today. We walked in and it was packed but we sat down waited about 5-10 minutes for them to even bring us menus.We understand they are busy but we were just trying to eat and get out. We ordered two menu pieces, Potato Skins and a Small Cesear salad for the two of us. We both shared and about 2-3 bites into the salad there were things CRAWLING in our food!! Absolutely disgusting and there was no manager in the building. They comped our bill and we didn't eat dinner tonight. The lack of hygiene is disgusting for that food to even be brought out of their kitchen. read more

I've been coming here for years through many renames, buyouts, whatever. For the past few years service has been crap. Mostly because they only have one server/bartender for the bar and dining room. The bartender was working so hard but on a Saturday on the 4th of July weekend, there should be at least two people. The deviled eggs with bacon and pepper jam were so good. The jam is awesome, starts sweet and finishes with a heat at the end. The burger was amazing according to my guest. I ordered regular buffalo hotwings. These are not the usual flavor of buffalo, which is usually a little heat with a vinegar tang. These are smokey, mild heat, and Very salty. I love salty foods but after 4 wings I couldn't eat more of it. This is probably the first time in my life I didn't like the flavor of the wings. The beer selection here is excellent with many local masterpieces such as Dewey Beer Co. There is great music playing, they also have a juke box if you want to pick something. They sell lotto/racetracks/keno and scratchers. Also they have an ATM. The place seems clean enough and not run down. Most of my rating is based on the very slow food because they didn't have enough employees. read more

Visited a few months ago, and I saw some beautiful looking chicken tenders come out. The bartender informed the chicken tenders were hand-breaded, so put it on the back burner until I visited again. And here we are. Today I ordered the tenders. Boy, was I disappointed. See the photos. Clearly not hand-breaded. I found them to be terrible. I understand COVID may change things for restaurants, but if you went from hand-breaded to gas station quality, let us know and maybe not charge $12 for weak tenders. OH!!! This was a takeout order. When I ordered, the person taking the order asked if I'd like honey mustard, which I gladly replied "YES." Got home- no honey mustard. Gas station tenders with no sauce. Not cool. read more

Fun fact: the guy that owns this place also owns all the other taphouses in OC. All of his other taphouse locations have around 3 stars & I'd call that accurate. When this location opened, there was a bunch of hype on social media/local Facebook groups, so I decided to stop in. In full disclosure, I don't drink beer; cider is the closest I'll get. I've just never liked the taste. That being said, I love brewpubs/beer centric restaurants; Dogfish Head in Rehoboth Beach is one of my favorite bars in Delaware. Luckily they had a full list of interesting looking cocktails. They also had an interesting food menu. Here's what I tried: Bloody Mary: I wanted Stoli but they didn't have it so I got Tito's instead. No big deal. They used a premade mix which was a little disappointing, but the drink tasted pretty good & had a nice spicy kick to it. Kind of wish they had other garnishes than just lemon/lime, but it's a beer centric place so I understand. Would order again. Bayside Punch: this was really good! It was sweet but not too sweet, the flavors worked really well together, and it was fairly strong. I'd definitely order this again. Crabby Pretzel: this was somewhat of a letdown. The pretzels came covered with melted cheese. Under that was supposedly crab dip; the overwhelming flavor I got was cream cheese, with very little crab flavor. I've had better crab dip from numerous other places. This was more a cheesy pretzel with tiny bits of crab mixed in. There was also lettuce on the plate which was quite warm; gross. Probably would not order again. The service was good & friendly but stretched way too thin; the bartender was also waiting on all the tables in the main dining area. I know they're new, but given they have multiple other locations nearby, they should have planned better, especially for July 4th week. This place is pretty close to my beach house in Fenwick Island. In addition, they apparently serve food super late - according to the bartender, they have a late night happy hour from 10 to 1 where they serve food the entire time. If I'm ever craving late night food, I'll keep that in mind. Overall, a little underwhelming. That being said, the drinks were fairly priced, the service was good, and the rest of the menu looked really interesting. I'll probably come back at some point, especially considering they're open super late & are pretty close by. read more

Been here a few times. Most recently I picked up carryout and had a beer at the bar. The bar staff is knowledgeable and top notch. The food came out correct and was enjoyed at home. We typically visit the 45th street location, but this is a good place to grab some food when I don't want to travel far. read more

There are two Taphouse taverns. DO NOT go to the one on 13729 Coastal Highway. Even if it is across the street DO NOT go there. The only one you want to go to for any reason is 4507 Coastal Highway. Why these two places share the same name is a mystery! The one at 13729 Coastal Highway has the worst service imaginable, there is a sign that says seat yourself and then the staff will decide whether or not they will decide to wait on you. The one in 4507 Coastal Highway has great service and food so please make sure you do not make the mistake and go to the awful 13729 location! read more

Pass. We waited 20 minutes at our table for assistance...turns out, as we learned from a local, you have to order at the bar? Seems like what they were doing so assume that was the case. Seeing that the bar was packed and only one bartender (other staff non-existent at least what we saw), no way that was an option. To be fair, we did not eat as we opted to leave versus fighting the crowd at the bar so cannot comment on food quality. Customer service, dirty tables, general atmosphere were the primary issues that speaks volumes. I think 20 minutes is sufficient to at least tell us what we need to do in order to be served. read more

We waited over an hour for our food. They were out of salmon, filet, brisket, ribs, and Cuban sandwiches! food arrived and it was mediocre. Went to the tavern on a Saturday night. Small restaurant with very loud music but expected for a weekend. Walked in and we sat down immediately as it was not at all busy. I will say, the food was great. The service was AWFUL. I am very understanding when it is a busy, or when the restaurant is short staffed, but there were severs and bartenders standing around chatting, and not coming to the table to provide refills, check on our experience, etc. One person in the party had their food come out wrong and one person didn't receive their food until 20 min after everyone else. During this time the server never came to check on us. Very upsetting experience.... read more
