The service was good, even with a larger group of us. Our server filled our coffee mugs almost right when we needed a refill and the food came out great. I had the Egg Florentine, which is a poached egg, with diced tomato and spinach in a delicious hollandaise sauce. Pretty much finished everything. Also came with a three-stack of their fluffy pancakes. Came with sweet butter and warm syrup. Lots of parking, though can be packed during peak hours. "Best apple pancake and German pancake in the world"apparently the roaches wanted a taste too. We came here specifically because of the reputation for their pancakes and were genuinely excited to try them. Unfortunately, we saw ROACHES inside the restaurant and immediately walked out. There was absolutely no way we were going to sit down and eat after seeing that. I don't care how amazing your pancakes are if there are roaches crawling around where food is being served, I'm not eating it. That is disgusting and completely unacceptable for any restaurant. We didn't even get to try the food because the cleanliness issue was enough to make us leave. Honestly, I'd rather go somewhere with an average pancake and ZERO roaches than risk eating somewhere with a pest problem. Maybe the pancakes really are incredible. All right, all right all right, i found a new favorite pancake spot, i've always heard about the German Pancake but never had it till today, "I like it" i paired it with the thick cut ham and eggs. Nice Combo "fat kid" problems lol. My companion had the regular pancake and it was also good. But that Fresh squeeze OJ was very refreshing and super good. The dinning area was clean and very nice as well. Luis my waiter greeted us and gave us excepcional customer service. The cost for 2 today was about $72.00 a little on the pricy side but well worth it. So, I haven't been here in a decade or so, but the fact that I am needing to write this review is a sign that they're doing a superb job at maintaining standards for breakfast foods as a whole. The service was great, it felt like a warm bundle of sunshine on a Sunday morning breakfast. We went at 7 am to beat the morning rush and it was well worth it. The interior is the classic diner layouts but I saw that the glass dividers were being cleaned thoroughly. Big plus and wow moment. The food itself, I did not expect such a yummy and large portion of food at all. The omelette, the pancakes, the scrambles, it was all just a delight. There was a 30 minute wait, so the anticipation of good food was all I could imagine. The check-in process was easy and even receive a text for the waitlist, which allows someone to wait in the car (they give you 10 minutes from text). The overall environment was that of a pancake house, but well lit and enjoyable to catch up with family. The server took our drink order quickly and came out in reasonable amount of time. When the drinks came out took our food order. Menu had a variety of items to choose from but choose the oven baked western omelette with a side on pancakes. The food came out and was impressed with the quality and proportions of the food. The manger came out and provided a specialty item (I think part of the name was Dutch). I went in this morning to enjoy some pancakes and I cannot believe what I'd seen with my own eyes. A server dropped pancakes onto the counter and picked them up with her hands and put them back on the plate then proceeded to and powdered sugar. This was the second plate she had dropped on the counter that she would just flip over and place the food back on the plate with her hands. To make it worse I know coworkers seen her do it and just acted like it was ok. I seen her touching everything her pants, the order screen and so on. I did not say anything because I know times are tough and everyone needs a job, I figured this review will catch management attention. This is so unsanitary. The original pancake house is a traditional classic family breakfast diner. Usually when I star these I compare them to others like Corey's or Polly's and other pancakes driven breakfast spots. this pancake was good and honestly the pancake are it's saving grace so I would definitely get pancakes here again. It can get packed which is a good thing for the business as it meets the intended crowd. The service was great, our host kept checking in on us, we also kept asking for stuff and she got it to us in a timely manner and always made sure we had a filled cup of coffee. The pancakes were delicious, my fiancé got the chocolate chip pancakes and I got the lemon ones and we enjoyed them both. I also got a country skillet pretty much, it was eggs with mushrooms, bell peppers ham and sausage all cooked in together. It was not bad and I did have some eggshells in it . I asked for some salsa to maybe help the flavor a bit but the salsa was really salty so I ended up use it the Cholula sauce. Usually when you make these kinds of skillets you want to cook all the meats and then toss in potatoes to soak up and use all the oil from the meats to crisp them up and then the eggs so the eggs don't get to greasy. I could just toast some of the oil so it was not the best but it was not the worst. My fiancé got just sausage and eggs with a cheese potato with bell peppers it was good but overall the pancakes took the cake for us. We enjoyed the pancake house but we may just stick to the pancakes. We actually went there because we ordered the pancakes in one day and loved them so we dined in this time. My child lost her pet bunny and the original pancake house is always our happy place. We went in to the nearest pancake house near our new place and we were quite disappointed. She ordered her all time fav 49er - half order, 3 pancakes. When she was eating it we realized that they just gave 2. I ordered omelette with corned beef which we will split, we informed the staff. I've always wanted to visit the Original Pancake House, but every time I drove by, the line was out the door, which made me not want to bother. Recently, I decided to give it a try since the line wasn't bad, and even though the inside was pretty packed, I was surprised to be seated fairly quickly. There was plenty of seating which helped the wait time to sit down and it's a very open space inside as well. The waitress was incredibly attentive, making sure I had everything I needed, and she was very friendly. The menu was full of delicious-sounding options, making it hard to choose, but I eventually settled on the Irish Omelette. It features corned beef hash and your choice of cheese--cheddar, pepper jack, or Swiss. You can even mix cheeses together so I got Swiss and pepper jack cheese and it also comes with a side of pancakes. Since the Irish Omelette is freshly made, it took a bit longer to arrive, but it was absolutely worth the wait. It was the fluffiest omelette I've ever seen and that's exactly how all omelettes should be. The combination of Swiss and pepper jack cheeses with the corned beef hash was incredible. Normally, I add lots of salt, pepper, ketchup, and hot sauce to my omelettes, but this one was so good that I barely needed any. The pancakes were just as impressive--light, fluffy, and delicious. They didn't need much syrup, but I couldn't resist drenching them in syrup anyway. I also tried the eggs and bacon breakfast, which came with another side of pancakes and an order of deluxe home-fried potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the potatoes were especially tasty. Overall, I'm thrilled I finally got to try the Original Pancake House. Also, you know I can't forget my coffee. Initially, I wanted the latte, but they were all out of espresso. I was extremely impressed with the omelette, very delicious. We've tried eating here twice. I am not a big fan of chain restaurants, but we had made an exception for the sake of my little pancake eater. The first time was enjoyable, our granddaughter who just happens to have a pancake passion, was our guest. I know she was quite happy with her pancake breakfast. It was a child's meal that included eggs and two meaty strips of bacon. My choice that morning was the Eggs Benedict with spinach and bacon. And I recall I did enjoy it that time. Enough, I was willing to return. Sadly, the second visit was not nearly as memorable. I ordered the same Benedict and it was barely passable this time. The English muffin was rather soggy. The hollandaise sauce lacked much flavor and had no bright lemony flavor. The bacon was too meaty and very tough. Mr. B's reaction to his bacon and egg breakfast was equally disappointing. The portions seem to definitely be smaller. Add to that the inflated prices and the lackluster taste, and we both agreed, this is not a place we will return. Our area has several really good diners nearby, much better offerings than this, and best of all, we usually always bring home leftovers. Not here. I put my money where I get a good return. Not only that we waited 45 minutes (yes, it was our choice) to be seated, but we waited another 35 for our food to come and my four year old grandson waited another 10 minutes!! for his breakfast and my husband five extra for the hashbrowns. The food was alright, although my husband said the hashbrowns had an oily taste. There are many items on the menu I have yet to try. The chocolate chip pancakes are super tasty for any chocolate lover. It doesn't even need syrup. The breakfast platter (forget the name) - basically eggs, bacon, toast, is very hearty. The eggs were cooked how we wanted them. The toast was good. The best part, the BACON! Oh man the bacon here is super tasty. The strawberry crepes are also good. They give you plenty of strawberries in the crepe. I recall it being a tad on the sweet side. My favorite item is the Swedish pancakes. They are super thin. It reminds me of a crepe, but they are indeed a pancake. It is so good with the butter and the berries. You do not even need syrup. You can order a half order of any pancake dish which is a plus to me. I can never eat all my breakfast food, and I really appreciate a restaurant allowing half orders. Other restaurants do not do this. The coffee drinks are all tasty. I try a new one each time. This place is always super busy. There is always a wait. That tells you the food is good. I ordered their famous Dutch baby--which was a little thick for my liking, but that is likely personal preference. I also got a ham steak--hearty and tasty. Here's the thing though--I ordered two items. Nothing spectacular about the items (the Dutch baby does take longer to cook but the ingredients of it are basic.) The total for the two items was $29.75. (I had water to drink.) Breakfast for one, with a tip, was $35.00. Again, nothing special. Went today because I was craving pancakes and got the worst service ever. Our waitress was not attentive at all and only saw her when we ordered and when it was time to pay because she wanted that tip. The only kind attentive person was a man that came up to us and asked if we wanted a refill. Food was whatever so that service just put this as a place I wouldn't want to go to.. I am a creature of habit and I always would go across the street to Polly's Pies for breakfast, but today my husband and I finally decided to try this place for the first time. Our server Sergio was friendly and attentive the ambience was warm and welcoming. The food was amazing! My husband got the meat and cheese omelet with the Swedish pancakes and I got ham and eggs with the sourdough pancakes. The servings are huge and were delicious. The coffee was good and they gave us plenty of creamers without us asking for more over and over again. I should have taken pictures but I was so hungry I forgot. After searching Yelp for gluten free pancakes, I settled on this location for the huge selection of gf pancakes and waffles. Ordered a gluten free blueberry waffle based off a previous review on here that looked amazing, only to have the server come back and tell me that they can't do any gluten free today. I don't know if they ran out of the gf flour or what. No explanation. Super disappointing. I got some eggs instead, but whatever, I can get eggs anywhere. On the upside, the fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing. The breakfast potatoes were also excellent, lots of crispy edges, although it's worth noting that nothing comes with hash browns or potatoes, you have to add them on as a side and pay extra for them. The breakfast potatoes are worth it, the hash browns are not. Service was good, place was cute and clean. I will definitely try them again when I'm in the area because I STILL really want that gf blueberry waffle! Maybe I'll call first next time to confirm availability. Still bummed. read more

I was really excited to go to this restaurant because I've been to one in UT and I LOVED it, however this location fell VERY SHORT and it was quite the disappointment. The only one that gave me hope was the hostess, she was very sweet and friendly. We were seated around noon on 9/26/25 aside from the hostess we didn't get approached or greeted until 10mins later, our waitress passed by saying she just needed to drop off a bill and she'll be right with us, another 10-ish mins go by and she finally comes back. I REALLY wanted to eat Eggs Benedict but since I'm currently pregnant I just wanted to know if they made their Hollandaise sauce with raw yolk or not which I regretted asking cause that took an additional 10 or so mins for her to ask someone in the kitchen. She came back without an answer so I decided not to ask any more questions and just get something else. I got the Norco something with a side of strawberry pancakes and when the pancakes finally arrived they were plain so they had to take them back to add the toppings. I couldn't get a piece of a pancake without it crumbling on the plate it eventually just looked like mush, did not enjoy my experience since I also added a side of toast which never arrived. For a plate of scrambled eggs with bacon, sausage, mushroom, and ham, the side of pancakes, 1 OJ, 1 Sprite, and a burger it was $60 IMO that's too much for food and service that's not worth it. All the waiters and waitresses that came to our table seemed like customers were such an inconvenience. I was very uncomfortable, so based on my experience I unfortunately cannot recommend this location. read more
