I ordered a to go order for my Birthday breakfast, and the sourdough pancakes were great-as always. But the rest of the meal was basically inedible. The eggs were literally wet and soggy in the middle when I cut into the small pile of scrambled eggs. I thought that was a little odd. Then their bacon which I've had before, one of the pieces was cooked well, but the other was undercooked and not crisped at all and chewy. I had to throw it out. Then, the side of potatoes are seasoned well, but as soon as I bit into it, it wasn't even cooked all the way through. They were almost borderline crunchy in the middle. We went one day to get breakfast but the line was out the door, so we decided to try another day. Yesterday, we ordered for a pick up, and decided to try a stack of pecan pancakes. The order was ready when we arrived and the cashier was fast and friendly. We asked about butter and syrup, and the cashier assured us that the items would be included, and for good measure he added a sample of the tropical syrup for us to try. I was a little disappointed in that however, the server was excellent. The food was delicious and fast I highly recommend this restaurant if you have time to eat and enjoy your food, the server and busters were very attentive with our waters. The ambience was amazing. We sat in a booth next to the window and it was very spacious for five medium size people. The omelette was delicious. I've felt like it was a good portion for me. I was lucky dining as a single person I was able to get in faster but it was wonderful being offered coffee or water while I waited. Haven't had that happen anywhere in a while. Visiting from the East coast (Baltimore area). The prices are high, but I said let's see about the "Award winning pancakes!" Service was nice and quick but the portion size for what you pay is crazy. The bacon and sausage were excellent but the small pancakes were mediocre at best. Very bready tasting and not at all worthy of an award (in my opinion). Clearly many others feel differently. Wow, this is the best Original Pancake House I've ever seen. I've been to at least three locations in Oregon, but this blew them all out of the water. The interior was so nice and clean, the service was truly excellent, the food selection was larger and more diverse. I cannot say enough good things about it. I got eggs Benedict, which come with a side of pancakes even though the entree itself is big enough to be two meals. The portions were just all around massive. And you have to try the Apple pancake if you're a fan of Dutch babies and apple pie, because it's basically a combo of the two. And you have the option to get a carafe of orange juice for the table! Austin was our server and was patient and gave great info when I asked about their local ingredients and preparation. This is our favorite breakfast spot in town! We always get the breakfast sandwich with cheddar cheese and thick cut bacon. It comes served on sourdough bread with this magical sauce that makes this sandwich irresistible. It's served with pancakes and breakfast potatoes, so a lot of food for the price. It's enough for my daughter and I to split and still need a box to go. Their coffee is amazing, they have their own signature roast which you can only find at their restaurants. The orange juice is all fresh squeezed right there in front of you if you sit at the bar rail. Danny has always taken great care of us when we eat here. I finally went for the very first time last Wednesday. I got the strawberry waffles with scrambled eggs and bacon and my son got the minced ham and egg with pancakes. The strawberry waffles were wonderful and I really enjoyed them. The eggs were not good. They tasted like powdered eggs, which I'm sure they weren't but they had added something to them which ruined them. And the bacon was awful. Thick cut bacon isn't my favorite but if it's crisp and flavorful it can be good. Their bacon was so tough it was almost impossible to chew off a piece of it. It was such a big disappointment. I was also a bit surprised at how high priced everything was. I'm not holding that against them too much because I know with inflation everything has gotten more expensive. Made our reservation thru Yelp, which helped cut down our wait to 5 minutes upon arrival. Our waitress Jennifer was great, she gets 5+ stars! Now the wait was a little longer than anticipated, which they warn you about on the menu; but it was longer than we thought I'd be, which our waitress made up for by bringing us out some fresh sliced strawberry's, blueberries, and whip cream. I ordered a corn beef hash which was not all that great, it was to mushy, and the taste was bland. My wife ordered a veggie omelet, she wasn't to happy with how cheese and how many eggs (4). We started our morning at the Original Pancake House and enjoyed a very hearty breakfast with large portions. The coffee stayed full and the Bacon Pancakes were very tasty and I'd get them again. I intend to get crepes the next time I visit, my co-worker got the strawberry crepes and they looked excellent!
