Shout out to Zack our Server. The service was Excellent, plenty of refills and checking on our table constantly. The food had nice big portions but flavor was ok. Not sure if I would go out of my way to visit again.

Everything about this place was phenomenal! We put our name on the wait-list and drove over from our hotel. We were greeted and seated right away with a packed house. Our server was attentive and made sure we had refills and a box togo when needed. We ordered the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of bacon and bananas, plus the meat and eggs breakfast with potatoes and regular pancakes. The bacon was one of the best things, super thick and full of flavor, plus the quantity was super filling! We will absolutely be back and can't wait to try more things!

I was so excited to have my apple pancake, but it fell so short of my expectations. I had never been to the Tacoma location but it was the closest for what we were doing that day. Our service was not the greatest. I noticed our server spent so much time with every other table but ours. My apple pancake barely had any cinnamon flavor and the apples were just plain. It lacked so much flavor and was dry. This is not how it should've been. My friend for the strawberry crepes and they were pretty good, I think there was too much syrup on them and that needs to be minimized because the crepes get soggy. My mom got the egg and potatoes with the pumpkin waffle. She loved the pumpkin waffle. I wouldn't recommend this location. I think the staff is bad and don't really care about their customers.

I haven't visited this location on 6th ave in Tacoma before but I will again. My friend had never visited the Original Pancake House before and she was an immediate fan. She ordered the Apple Pancake and I ordered my favorite cherry Kaifa crepes. I usually eat at the Gig Harbor location since I live on the other side of the pond, but I have to say this location's Apple Pancake was better but I like the cherry crepes in Gig Harbor better. The staff was welcoming and accommodating even with my walker in very limited space. It was very busy but they took great care of us. It was a wonderful experience. The next time I'm in the area during early morning Happy Hour, Im stopping by for some of my favorite pancakes and their spectacular bacon. I'm looking forward to it.

Corn beef hash Benedict with potato's. Greasy sauce was a gravy not a hollandaise infusion. Coulda been great.

Nice parking, kind service warm setting. Decently priced. Food was potentially good will explain in pictures.

Did you know you can buy these cool souvenir mugs that they serve their coffee in?

I was craving a Dutch Baby Pancake and I got exactly what I wanted even with the high prices of eggs and shortage problem. This is my go-to anytime I go to an Original Pancake House-- my first time at this Tacoma location. If you don't know, asides from adding the butter, lemons, and powdered sugar it comes with, I still like to also add some maple syrup on top, lol. I also get a side order of extra crispy bacon and, if you're a coffee lover, do not skip their diner coffee which is just coffee but it helps make the meal ;-)

First time coming here after reading the reviews and checking out the prices on the menu provided on Yelp. Come to find out the prices on Yelp were completely different than the menu provided at the restaurant. Each meal was listed on Yelp about $3-$4 cheaper than the prices actually were. It would be nice of the company to update the listing so people have an accurate expectation before sitting down after waiting for a table. Upon arrival, I checked in with the hostess to get placed on the wait-list. She informed us that it would be about a 20 minute wait. After waiting around 30 minutes, I went to check since our text message link to show our wait time had expired, but we weren't called and we were told they were ready for us. Not sure if you have to check on that to get seated or if they just don't call your name because the timer has been expired for at least 10 minutes or so before I checked in. As we were getting seated, our menus were tossed carelessy on the table and my party was completely dismissed. Our server came to get our drink order pretty quickly and we received our drinks. Then it took around 35 minutes until they came back after I asked for them more than once if we could place our food order. Finally after getting our food order, we of course didn't get enough plates since we mentioned we were sharing meals. During our entire meal, we got checked in on once so not really a good experience overall.

Lone slice of double bacon order. That good!

Love this Original Pancake House. Still on my favs list. We had the Lighter side eggs, potatoes and toast with a bacon side and a half order of Pecan Pancakes (yeah 3 large cakes is more than enough some days). Always the coffee! Great menu. Today was slightly off as the staff was a bit short and it was full as usual but the food was excellent as always. Recommend: Sourdough toast, any pancakes and the bacon (thick sliced full sized). Restrooms: clean Service: good MyfitnessPal: yes and I emailed the company and they sent me a pdf for nutrition- great customer service! Menu calories are accurate Tip: sign up for the points and get free sides, $$ off etc all year long and on your birthday month

This is the word breakfast place I have ever been, the French toast was terrible and flavorless the potatoes had no seasoning and tased like a burn pan and the Bacon was so hard and burnt it cut the inside of my mouth, all that totaled out to 100 dollars... WAIST OF MONEY!!! The pancakes were the only thing that wasn't burn or nasty

We stopped by for breakfast and were seated immediately. The waitstaff were very friendly and even told us a bunch of dad jokes at the end. My husband ordered an Irish breakfast and got something else, so he let the waitstaff know. They brought him out something else, some kind of cheese omelet with hollandaise sauce - definitely not that Irish breakfast. But it was good and he ate most of it anyway, the waitstaff were busy and we didn't want to send another dish back. My friends Benedict wasn't supposed to have spinach, she asked for it to be made without. And the side of bacon my friend ordered came out after the meal. The food was okay. The waitstaff were great.

I really liked this location. I've eaten at the one in Puyallup but this one was much better. The server was quick and efficient. Everyone there was upbeat and had a smile on their faces. Literally everyone there was happy to be there and that's nice to see and feel. The manager was even visible. It's small and the parking lot is a bit crammed but I still would recommend it. I'm a big breakfast person so I enjoyed everything. The pancakes, chicken sausage, potatoes, eggs over easy, eggs over hard, biscuits, gravy, and freshly squeezed orange juice. I wish they had a variety of creamers for the coffee. Other than that I would absolutely return. We went on a Saturday morning around 9:30 and there was no wait. It was super busy when we were leaving and the lobby was overloaded with ppl waiting to be seated.

    Char D.

Ordered take out and was not expecting such a bad breakfast. Portions were very small and for the price of $40 for 2 dishes...was absolutely not worth it. Lacked flavor and quality. Pancakes were extremely thin and small. The blueberries in the pancakes were very OLD. They were shriveled and hard to chew..had a bad taste too.. gee come on. If it's old, why use them?? Scrambled eggs were wet and cold. The eggs Benedict was just fine, very small portion of potatoes that came along with it. Don't think I'll order from here again. It wasn't good. Save your money folks.

Cooper's hosted one of our Porsche Club breakfast social events, and from start to finish this one was a 10. The food was on point throughout, and considering the size of our group, that's borderline remarkable. Breakfast at Cooper's is flavorful and excellent! Everyone came away impressed, which if you've ever tried to please a table full of hungry car enthusiasts, you know is not a given. Andrea led the service, and she was outstanding. This woman knows how to manage a large, hungry group! To perform this with that kind of calm efficiency is a real skill! The whole team reflected the same energy. They were all attentive, warm, and clearly proud of the place they work in. I can't say enough about the people here. The thoughtful touch that really stood out: Porsche-themed mimosas and breakfast spirits prepared specially for our event. That kind of detail is something a great hospitality team delivers. It set the tone for the whole morning. The space itself is immaculate and the decor is genuinely cool. Those of us who hadn't dined there before were genuinely impressed. Cleanliness here is a point of obvious pride. All in all, Cooper's is a destination for casual quality. Magnificent experience, start to finish, and I can't wait to return!

Dirty Oscar's Annex - Disappointing Experience on 6th Ave…read more We came in as a group of seven, and unfortunately the experience went downhill quickly. First, the service was poor and disorganized. One of my friends arrived early and ordered her drink, but it didn't arrive until after I had already received mine -- even after she asked twice. We also had to wait far too long for basic things like napkins and forks because we weren't given enough for everyone. The most frustrating part, however, was the automatic gratuity. At no point were we informed -- verbally or on the menu -- that parties of 6 or more are charged an automatic 20% gratuity. We only discovered it by carefully reviewing our checks. And to make matters worse, the so-called "20%" was not actually 20%. It came out to 24.1%. When we questioned it, the person who said she was the manager claimed "the computer does it automatically." We are a table full of teachers -- and the math was definitely not mathing. We understand and respect gratuity for large parties, especially when the service is great or when it's clearly communicated. But charging more than the stated percentage crosses from poor service into a billing integrity issue. To add to the frustration, there is also a credit card processing fee, which again was not clearly disclosed on the menu and only appeared at the bottom of the receipt. This absolutely should be visibly posted before ordering. They did offer to refund some of the charges, but we declined because it would have taken additional time and we had an event to get to -- and more importantly, it doesn't resolve the core issue of lack of transparency. She also gave each of us a $10 gift card, but again, that doesn't resolve the issue. And honestly, what good is a gift card if we don't plan on returning because of such an awful experience? Overall, this was a very disappointing visit, and not one we would recommend based on service and transparency alone.

However, when the bartender arrived later, the situation turned unpleasant. Even though I had been waiting since 10:00 AM, he rudely accused me of being late. When I explained the situation, he dismissively said, 'I never seen my manager here on Wednesdays anyway,' and showed zero effort to help. He wouldn't even have bothered to call the manager if I hadn't explicitly insisted and asked him to. After the call, he simply told me the manager 'had something important to do' and wouldn't be coming, suggesting I should just come back later. It is incredibly disrespectful to confirm an appointment and then simply not show up , wasting a candidate's time and gas money. If the management treats potential staff with this much disregard and allows their floor staff to be so rude to applicants, it speaks volumes about the business culture. I hope the owner addresses this internal communication breakdown.

Secondly, Cassandra was absolutely superb!! We all thoroughly had an amazing experience, from the drinks, appetizers, to our entrees, and the service. The Lavender Martini was top notch, and we also ordered the White Mojito. That mojito was crisp and refreshing! Two spectacular cocktails. As for our meals, undeniably unbelievable!! I ordered the 12oz. Ribeye, with Garlic Potatoes and crisp Broccolini. So crisp and a unique almost vinaigrette flavoring, with a subtle spice. As a side, we ordered the Thousand Layer Potato. We were the only people in the dining room for lunch the entire time until our last 10 mins. This restaurant is inside a casino in Fife. Parking is interesting, and the casino itself is in the middle of a reno so it looks a bit messy but otherwise it is fine. Kudos to them for trying to make the outside section nice because the view kind of kills it. Pros - it's a very nicely designed space. The hostess and our waitress were so nice and welcoming, even giving me a stool for my bag (and it wasn't even my fanciest bag lol!) Overall, the restaurant is nice, the food seems to be mostly fresh and good quality and service was nice. I actually quite enjoyed my ribeye, despite our broccolinni having no almonds, as stated on the menu. My affogato was good, and the cake frosting and flavors were good. Cons - I say these with love...but we both feel the kitchen was not up to par, or the main chef was off, or something happened because there were quite a few mishaps during our visit. The appetizers were good, but the scallops needed salt and I would not pair them with pineapple, personally. The calamari weren't the most tender, and the breading was interesting - it's definitely not your typical breading, it suited a fish and chips dish better. The sweet and spicy sauce served with it is from trader Joe's...I know because I've bought it before, so I don't believe it's house made. Like I previously stated, the broccolinni was missing the almonds, and the carrots on the side that I ordered for $13 were so embarrassing that the waitress came back after serving us and told us that she spoke to the manager and got those off our bill. That's how ridiculous they were, so thank you to her for having good values at work. While I liked my steak, it was very, very fatty, and my husband asked for medium rare and definitely got medium well. Lastly, the pink champagne cake was disappointing, not because it was yucky, but because the cake itself was clearly days old, and had been freshly frosted. It was tough, dry and stale, while the frosting was fresh and light. Overall, I can see coming back but I'm in no rush due to the price/location/overall food.

Finally got a chance to try it at noon today, and it was a great experience! Environment: The overall vibe is very American. There were TVs on the walls constantly playing various ball games, like today's playoff game between the Thunder and the Lakers. It was pretty busy on the weekend, especially the outdoor seating area, which was almost full. The building is an old structure dating back to the 1900s. Though it shows its age, it's very clean both inside and out--you can tell the owner really cares. Service: Our waitress was very, very friendly and professional. She gave us great recommendations, always served with a smile, checked in on us during the meal, and refilled our water. Very satisfied! Taste: Pizza: There's a funny little story: supposedly, Marco Polo went to China and saw pies, but didn't know how to wrap the filling inside, so he just put it on top--and thus the pizza was born. Personally, I think this is a myth, or many people have started fantasizing about Marco Polo because they think he was too great. But according to various unearthed historical records in China, Marco Polo never actually went to China. In fact, around 2010, more than 20 scholars organized an event called "Retracing Marco Polo's Route." After completing the journey and comparing it to what Marco Polo himself recorded, most of them concluded that he probably never made it to China. Sorry, I have a strong urge to share--went off on a long tangent about Marco Polo. But the pizza was really delicious. It should be truly fire‑baked, not oven‑baked. The sauce was well‑balanced, and the toppings were generous and fresh. My wife and I ate more than half of it! Salad: The dressing and cheese were very generously applied, and the greens were fresh. Chicken wings: They had a pleasant sweet‑savory taste, just right. Unlike most American restaurants where they're too salty or too sweet, these were perfectly balanced. All the dipping sauces were good. Overall, highly recommended!

First, our server, Zach (unsure of spelling) was wonderful. So friendly and attentive and had good recommendations for what to order. The food was so delicious! My husband also got the elk sliders, but he dug into them before I could get a picture. It was his favorite thing that he ate. The birria flatbread was just ok. We will not be getting it again. The wagyu burger was delicious and the fries were so perfectly crispy. Drinks were wonderful and they have a great full bar selection. I am not typically a carrot cake person because don't like raisins or nuts in my dessert. The flavor was great and the frosting wasn't too sweet. My husband thoroughly enjoyed it, especially with the crispy sugary carrots on top! We will definitely be back!

Upon entry, a very inviting restaurant with seating inside and outside. We voted for inside to enjoy our dinner. Service was great. The waiter was very attentive. Minimal guests in the restaurant but still had the workers running. Food was great. The steak was cooked exactly how I like it. And it was so large that I did not expect it for that price. Dessert was one of the best things as well. Clean restaurant, good amount of choices to pick, plenty of seatings, including the bar area. Parking was good as well.
