We stopped by The Osprey for Magical Dining and it was a great experience. We chose the crush puppies and mussels for the apps. I loved the broth the mussels came in. We both had the steak frites for entrees. The steak was tender and flavorful though I asked for medium and it was bordering on rare. The fries were some of the best I've had. For dessert, we both had the chocolate panna cotta and that was worth the meal. It was amazing. Our server was lovely, as was all the front of house staff that we interacted with. The space was open and tasteful... everything you'd expect from this restaurant group. Would definitely return.
Every year for Magical Dining, I look through all the hundreds of menus. I find the ones that appeal to me the most at a restaurant I've never tried. Osprey checked these boxes. The atmosphere was typical Friday night busy but was warm and inviting. The decor was contemporary and lovely. We did remark how the lighting was sparse and a bit dim. I could never do dining in the dark. I like to see what I'm eating We started off with the Crush Puppies. I saw someone on here say they were delicious, and they were right! They were crispy on the outside and piping hot and soft on the inside. Super yummy! The other starter we ordered was a Kale Apple Salad. It had golden raisins (which I absolutely love)! It had the most tasty smoked cheddar cubes, and was dressed with a tajin balsamic. This was one of the most flavorful and best salads I've ever had! This was such a strong start, we were excited for the entrees! We ordered the Wagyu Sirloin Frites. The steak had an odd aftertaste. The fries were really appetizing. I typically never order fish and chips. The times I've have, they have not been good, so I typically avoid them. I thought being a mainly seafood restaurant it was a safe bet. I was wrong. Just like others I've tried there was SO. MUCH. BATTER. They had no flavor. My bf literally pulled the fish out and ate it by itself. We were both disappointed with the entrees especially since the apps were so delectable! We took our dessert to go, and the carrot cake was scrumptious! It was moist, and I tasted little cinnamon roasted nuts throughout. You could tell it was homemade and the slices were a fair portion. All in all, it was still a good experience at Osprey. Despite the "not so good" entrees, we both agreed we would still like to go back and try other dishes and more crush puppies and apple kale salad! Four stars for the apps alone!
Great magical dining spot. For $40, you can get seafood appetizer & entrees along with dessert. The PEI mussels are to die for! I drank every drop of the soup so good!!! It's cool that you can see all the kitchen actions from the dining room. Fun to watch how they prep our foods. If you go there, get the seafoods and skip the steaks. My hubby didn't care for the steaks.
Me and my friend came here to try magical dining. It's so much nicer and bigger in person than the photos online our server was really nice and helpful explaining the menu. Keep in mind we did order some things that weren't on the magical dining menu as well. The Pani Puri here was amazing, it's not traditional, but it's definitely a great twist. The baked oysters were also amazing as well. If you could order anything it should be these two items. We didn't really enjoy the rolls. They tasted like basic Hawaiian rolls and they weren't warm either. The mussels didn't really have a lot of flavor, but they did serve a good portion of them. I really enjoyed the steak and garlic Parmesan fries, the fries here are perfect. I think this place is definitely worth adding to your list for magical dining!
This was a fun Magical Dining experience at The Osprey! Everything we tried was delicious, and the seafood in particular really stood out. The mussels were super fresh and served with a flavorful broth that was perfect with the grilled bread. The rainbow trout piccata was another favorite, tender, delicate, and bright with the lemony piccata sauce and capers. A really nice combination of flavors that felt a little more interesting than your typical piccata. The key lime bar was the perfect finish. Creamy, tart, balanced, and the crumbly topping and toasted meringue made it even better. The service was also excellent - attentive, friendly, and made the whole meal feel special. Overall, a great menu and an experience I'd happily repeat
Osprey is a great spot right in downtown Baldwin. It's a beautiful restaurant with great food! There's a ton of parking in town and it's a great place to walk around. Our waiter was amazing and attentive. My favorite bite was the bread and tartar. The steak frites were good although i wasn't a fan of the fries. I had gotten the lobster roll in the past and absolutely loved it! Will be back
I love coming to the Osprey located in Baldwin park , happy hour drinks and oysters are amazing !!! Service is always fantastic and I love Chelsea. Today , I had the chowder as it was perfect for a rainy day but also ordered my oysters and my little one wanted steak frites and a Cesar salad. The drink menu and dining menu are pretty extensive so you'll definitely find something you'll love and the servers always have great recommendations. Then came dessert time , the Carrot cake and panna cotta were so good I ordered a slice of carrot cake to go( let me live ok lol ) I love that I can drive here on my golf cart or after dinner walk around the lake to burn off the calories.
Overall the restaurant is beautiful the service was amazing. The overall food was good the mussels were the best thing that we had but the steak was bland and disappointing and only came with hollandaise sauce which didn't match well with the steak. I smothered it with salt and pepper just so I can eat it. The deserts were great. I would highly recommend this place but I would pass on steak here.
We came for Magical Dining this week and despite making a reservation on a Thursday evening, it was not very busy. The menu had four choices per course rather then the typical three which was nice and it was a good variety of choices. The mussels were a huge portion and the broth was so good! I was disappointed by my steak frites. The parmesan truffle fries ($3 upgrade) were really good but my steak was a super small portion and not very flavorful at all. The cookie in the sundae was salted and delicious. It was very cold in the restaurant so definitely bring a sweater.
The Osprey is one of those restaurants that immediately gives you the impression that you're in for an elevated dining experience. Located in Baldwin Park, the restaurant has a polished, upscale atmosphere without feeling overly formal. The dining room is modern and inviting, with warm lighting, a lively atmosphere, and a nice bar area. It's definitely a nice setting for a dinner out, although the food during our visit didn't quite live up to the atmosphere. We started with the ceviche and Little Gem Caesar, and unfortunately, both were pretty unremarkable. Neither was necessarily bad, but there just wasn't much flavor or anything that made either dish stand out. With ingredients like chili crisp and lime listed with the ceviche, I expected it to have a little more going on. The wood-grilled half chicken with lemon-herb sauce and shishito pepper was similar. It sounded great on the menu, but the chicken was somewhat dry and again lacked the flavor I was hoping for. The rainbow trout piccata, however, was easily the standout entrée. The fish was flavorful and well prepared, and the roasted potatoes paired really nicely with the brown butter, capers, and lemon. This was definitely one of the highlights of the meal. Dessert was another winner. The brownie à la mode with dulce de leche, vanilla ice cream, and peanuts was delicious. The combination of the rich brownie, ice cream, dulce de leche, and crunch from the peanuts worked really well together and ended the meal on a high note. Service was okay overall. Nothing particularly stood out in either direction, it was adequate and we were taken care of, but it wasn't a memorable part of the experience. Overall, The Osprey has a great atmosphere and there were some definite highlights, particularly the trout and dessert. However, with several dishes lacking flavor and the chicken being on the dry side, the meal was too inconsistent for me to rate it higher. For me, this was a solid 3-star experience.
My wife and I went out for our anniversary to osprey, and it did not disappoint. The staff was lovely and accommodating, even going so far as to bring us a candle on our dessert! We mentioned that it was our anniversary after my wife expressed displeasure at having to sit at a high top table near the entrance. The reason being is that we don't go out very often because of our small children, and if we do manage to sit down for a while, we would prefer to be as comfortable as possible (hence requesting a booth.) I let the server know about the special occasion and they were more than happy to relocate us as. The food was marvelous with its decadent flavors. We couldn't have asked for a better meal, and took advantage of magical dining. The restaurant itself is quite nice with a medley of architectural and design styles magnanimously embracing each other. When we first got there at the beginning of happy hour and picked up significantly by the end of our experience. All in all it's a lovely spot and we would be happy to go back again for our next round of celebrations.
This is our go-to spot for girls night out. And for good reason. Nestled in the middle of Baldwin Park shopping area. This restaurant provides a nice, fine dining environment for us. Girls to chat, eat and drink. They're happy hour. Selections cannot be beat whether it's libations or bites. Service here is super friendly and attentive. They are also very helpful when deciding which menu item to choose. The enthusiasm from the servers hostesses and bartenders regarding their food and drinks is just as intoxicating as their drinks. Between their steak entrees and their seafood entrees, you have your work cut out for choosing what you're going to be munching on at the Osprey. If you're in the area and wanting a great dining every experience at a reasonable price than this place is definitely worth your while.
It's been a few years since I've dined at The Osprey. I used to come here often, most times because they do a good happy hour, and they still do but I noticed that some things have definitely changed. One of my favorite happy hour items use to be their fish dip. It had this intense smokey flavor and various seasonings like fresh dill and capers. No capers that I could see, the smoky flavor was so subtle that I wondered if it was even smoked at all. It used to come with house made chips and now they've downgraded it to ritz crackers which I have to admit, was a huge let down. I know things are getting more expensive but just charge the extra buck or two for the house made chips, don't give me some cheap crackers from a box. Oysters are still very good, the calamari was still good. A new item on the happy hour menu this time was the grouper sliders and those were just not good I'm sorry to say. The fish tasted dry and it was bland; I literally only took a bite and left the rest. Someone in our party ordered the steak frites and I got to try some of that; very, very good! I would definitely order that again. My favorite thing I have to say were the mussels and frites. I wanted to drink that broth like soup, soooo flavorful! Amazing service! Jacob could not have been more attentive to our needs! And that's one of the reasons I'll keep coming back to the Osprey.... Just take those sliders off the happy hour menu and bring back the house made chips for the dip. Until next time!

After finding out that all seats were full for Seito Sushi, I decided to make a reservation for The Osprey instead. I am so happy I did. It was a nice crowd when I arrived, but I was seated at 8:15 during my reservation time. I did the magical dining menu for 40 dollars, as well as having an old fashioned (16 dollars) for my drink. The old fashioned was boozy and enjoyable while I waited for my food. I took the pork belly 20th anniversary special for my appetizer. It was one of the best I had. The pork belly was tender and flavorful with the stone fruit BBQ sauce. It almost melted in my mouth. The wonderful flavors gave my taste buds a piggy back ride. I waited a while for my entree, the salmon. It was well worth the wait. The salmon came to the requested medium rare. It was fresh, tender, and juicy. There kept the skin on, but it was easy to peel it off. The charred cabbage was cooked very nicely, and the shishito peppers added a good flavor. The sauce was rich and had a citrus and wine taste, making it enjoyable. For dessert, the tiramisu was light enough for me to finish, but I did taste something a bit old and gooey. However, I still enjoyed it. The service was very good and helpful. I am so happy I followed my servers recommendations as they were all enjoyable. While I did wait a bit for the food, the cocktail made me relax to the music and crowd, and the excellent quality of the food made the wait worth it. The atmosphere looked upscale with the darker lighting and the crowd talking, but nothing too loud or overbearing. The bathrooms looked clean and smelled nice. Parking can be busy during Saturday night, but normally there is free parking in the Publix complex. It's a short walk afterwards. I am very happy that I went with the Osprey as my alternative choice since Seito was full. The food was delicious, drink was boozy, and service was great. I'm back! We went for an apero (pork belly and ceviche) and cocktails (dirty martinis and old fashions). The service was prompt, and pleasant. We went during early dinner hours and the place was busy but it felt comfortable. The ambiance at Osprey is clean, modern, alchemist-traveler vibe with traditional elements that make you stay for that second cocktail- which we did. Thank you for returning to what works. Food was underwhelming. Temperature was off for multiple items. The lobster blt had a lot of bavob but was 90% bread, and very little lobster. Cookie was delicious. Drinks were good but took while to get. read more
The food was good. We went during Magical dinning so we got a great price but I do not know if we will be back. As soon as I walked in it smelled like fish but I got use to it after a few minutes so it's not that bad. The smoked fish dip was good ad had some smoked flavor to it. The ceviche was good. A nice acid base that did not overpower the fish.. The salmon was very good and cooked to perfection. The sword fish showed up breaded and fried which was not listed on the menu. It was good but the breading is not something I wanted. The white chocolate dessert was creamy and fantastic.. I felt our waiter was spread a little thin but he did a good job. read more

Happy hour in mid October: We stopped by for happy hour and had such a great time. The food was seriously delicious, and we were especially into the crush puppies and the fish entree. We split a tray of the fish of the day, which was amazing--super tender, perfectly seasoned, and the sauce was light and just right. The fish melted in my mouth. I was so happy with my choice of cocktail. Their version of Aperol spritz is better than the original one if you're into mildly sweet cocktails. For dessert, we went with the deconstructed cheesecake, and it did not disappoint. It had this tangy, yogurt-like flavor (kind of like Chobani) with walnuts and cranberry jam, but way more elevated and refined. I loved it! Everything from start to finish was spot-on, including our extremely friendly waiter, Alejandro, making for a perfect happy hour. read more

Osprey - Magical Dining I had not been to the Osprey in Baldwin Park in a couple of years and the most recent visits were for happy hour or brunch, which were both great. This visit was no exception and I'd highly recommend it. The area is hard to secure parking as you have to find a parking lot without restrictions or park on the street. It's directly across from Seito Sushi, another fave of ours. This occasion we arrived in time to hit happy hour and magical dining (always a goal of mine!). They have a solid happy hour with several apps and great drinks too. We selected the crab fries, 2 fish tacos and the French onion dip. The fries were so good but quite heavy, so keep that in mind - best to have at least a few people sharing them. The tacos - I only had a bite and saved for later because they were super stuffed and I had a big meal coming. That fish was so fresh and incredible. The onion dip - I haven't had one this good - it was made with crème fresh and actual onions lol. It was hard to stop eating and a very large portion too. We took home a lot of this. For our MD apps, we both had the creamy clam chowder. It was adequately seasoned and quite good. The mains were the rainbow trout - the entire fish - and Prime flank. The trout was flakey and cooked so perfectly that it was divine. Huge portion and took almost all of it home. It was just as good the next day. The steak was delicious. We have had more filet recently so it was not the same but excellently prepared and seasoned. The hollandaise was wow. I ended up using that for my eggs the next morning. For the dessert, the cheesecake and the chocolate peanut butter 'pie' were both delicious. They were both prepared in a glass dish. I would order all of this again!!!! Everything I had was delicious! I obviously not the best at taking pictures while having fun! The food was delicious, from starters to dessert! I would highly recommend the Brussels sprouts! Service was the best I have had in a long time. Extra stars for them as I'm grateful of how patient they were while I was trying to find a wine. I found out about The Osprey through their sister restaurant, The Monroe. What got me there was a marketing email for an Easter brunch that caught my attention and I couldn't pass up. To start off this location gives palm beach vibes and has street parking with a garage walking distance nearby. We had a reservation which I recommend. Upon entry, I really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. The setting is nice and so is the decor. It's not a very large space. Shoutout to our waitress Maggie, she was really helpful walking through the menu and we ordered her plate recommendations and they did not disappoint. The prime rib sandwich was absolutely delicious. I don't usually order ribs and I loved it. The serving size was just right, it came with fries and It also came with a side of soup or sauce to dip in or spread and it was just wonderful. It tasted great. I was really happy with how our food came out. The rolls are also fabulous. I like that most of their items are made fresh in house. Sadly, the cinnamon roll was sold out so we missed out but would love to try it sometime. I also ordered the "spice up your life" mocktail and I need to know what kind of ginger beer is used. It was soooo crisp and spicy. I like ginger beer so if you can relate try it but you made need some water, that's how strong it was! There are some restaurants you try once, I would visit here again for brunch and dinner. read more
Absolutely wonderful staff. Our waitress was amazing guide to the Osprey show. She really took care of us. Attentive and helpful recommendations! Our table was well taken care of. Overall, a great experience. Came here for happy hour on a Monday. Normally, happy hour is 5 to 6:30, but is apparently all night on Mondays. Good to know. I had an old fashioned (as I always do) and at $10 it was excellent. Not overly sweet, decent ice (not normal ice, but mid-sized cubes that still work), filthy cherry. Check, check, and let's call it a check minus on the ice. Still great. Ordered a few appetizers off the happy hour menu too. Oysters, the mid Atlantic, were excellent. Fresh, meaty, and great accompaniments. Also had the crab fries. Big chunky seasoned fries, a cheese sauce and huge chunks of crab. Darn good, and would definitely order again. Also, a fish taco, just because it sounded good, and it was good. Just good, not mind blowing, but good. Last, we had the tuna nachos. Now, it says tuna chili in the description, but like most people I would believe, I assumed that meant ahi tuna in a chili aioli. I was wrong. It was a full chili, that honestly tasted like it had beef and yellowfin tuna in it. It wasn't bad, in fact, it was pretty good and larger than I anticipated. Just not what I expected. We finished almost all of it though, so it definitely was good. Overall, a good experience and I would definitely come back for happy hour, and I'd do dinner on a special occasion maybe. read more

I only ordered a couple of things that were from the kitchen... they were OK, I liked the fish and chips but the rest of what I ordered was just decent. (Fish Tacos were bad, calamari was decent/good) The oysters, however, were exceptional. Very fresh; which was surprisingly as I'm very picky about oysters. Overall, I was very happy with the service and the ambiance. I will be returning. read more

I was happy to third-wheel with best friend and her bf because the food was just so good! The surrounding area is so cute and this place is a big reason why! The vibes are immaculate and there was so much care put into the details here, especially with respect to Florida lore. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly too. This is absolutely on my top 3 in Orlando and where I tend to bring out of town visitors for a nice dinner. The seafood, the drinks, the oysters, the vibes, the dessert. Everything is so yummy and special, without being fussy. The staff are knowledgeable and laid back. They have great specials so there is always something new to try. One of the most unique dishes I have ever tried is the swordfish sausage. I'd recommend The Osprey for a dinner date, for drinks and oysters, or for a nightcap. read more
I'm honestly pretty annoyed at myself for just now trying this place. My husband and I were in Baldwin Park for a mini holiday photoshoot during golden hour and decided to grab an early dinner after. The Osprey is located just a couple minutes from where we had done photos, so we decided to pop in without reservations to see if they had space for us. We got there just after 5pm and the restaurant was pretty dead so we had our pick of spots inside or outside. Right away I was struck by the warm, cozy, but still elevated feel of the restaurant. They're all decorated for the holidays and it's so beautiful. We picked a corner table inside by the window and it was perfect. We decided on a couple glasses on wine and shared a few items off the menu including an autumn squash salad, filet mignon with fresh black truffle AND truffle better (can you tell we love truffle?), the brownie sundae, and a dessert wine. Everything we ordered was excellent and our server was very helpful with his recommendations. This is one of the only restaurants in the area with a wood fire grill, so opting for the filet was perfect. We finished every bite and it was so tender it cut like butter. Arguably the best part of the meal was the dark chocolate brownie sundae though. It was the most delicious mix of warm and cold and the brownie was so fudgey and nutty without being overdone. Came here for birthday dinner! Everything was perfect, the staffs are attentive and recommended dishes we can shared within the table. The service is excellent, for any occasion they will make you feel so special!! Highly recommend the calamari and crush puppies to share. Flank steak was decent as well. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. First of all, I have NEVER had as good of service as I had here. We had a server and a trainee, and let me tell you, you would've thought the trainee worked there for years. Both of them were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Loved them. The food was OUTSTANDING. We started off with the oysters which were amazing. I was disappointed because they were out of the salmon, but the server suggested the local catch (swordfish) which I'd never had before so I was nervous. It was phenomenal. My partner got the Petite Lobster Roll and Crab Cake and both were off the hook! Pun intended. To drink we had the pump up the jam and roll in with the homies. Super boozy and unique flavors. Loved it. Finished off with their s'mores dessert, it was excellent. Rich and creamy, but not too much. As far as the restaurant itself, it is stunning. It's very calm and spacious, so no matter how busy they are, everything is still a good volume and feels like you're the only one there. I'd kill to have this place in Houston where I live! The osprey is one of my favorite restaurants to go to. I haven't had a meal there that I didn't like. The service is good too. They are willing to make accommodations for different dietary restrictions. It's a cute place for a girls brunch, date night, or a family dinner. read more

I have always enjoyed the osprey, especially for dessert and dad jokes. We went to enjoy magical dining and we sure did enjoy it. The food was impeccable and the staff was great. I really enjoy the low lighting at night and decor, it feels elegant, yet homey. read more

Went for Magical Dining with a friend recently and it was alright. The salad was my favorite part of the dinner. I ordered the Caesar with anchovies on the side, the Rainbow Trout, and then the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie. The server did tell us there were no sides to the fish, so I was aware and still ordered it. It was fine, but would have preferred even just a veggie or something to go with it as it was a lot of just one thing. The Peanut Butter Pie was very rich and I could only eat a very small portion of it. Service was pretty slow, and it didn't seem super busy, but I also didn't pay attention to how many tables our server had. They were super nice when they were at our table though. I'm not sure I would go back for food again, but the atmosphere is fantastic so maybe for some drinks at the bar. read more
Came for magical dining. We had a mixed experience. The crush puppies were delicious, loved the drinks, and the oysters were great. However, the trout was burnt and left a bitter taste in our mouths. My husband said the Caesar salad was ok and my flank was the same (prob should have upgraded to the strip). My husband loved his sundae and I didn't really like my cheesecake. I absolutely love osprey they never disappoint. The inside is absolutely beautiful. They really spent some great time on the ambiance and it shows. The service is ALWAYS GREAT everyone is very friendly and they are very tentative. Now the good part is the food the first time I went I had their caviar butter with their rolls which were AMAZING! Very delicious. And a Moscow mule. Their seafood is very fresh and never disappointed me. This time I went I had arrived just in time to enjoy their smash burger which has been hyped in their page I have been wanting to try it due to their bacon jam on top of it. let me tell you It was very tasty. I could only eat half but it was a great half burger lol. Their fries are great as well, salty and seasoned. I can't wait for my next meal there as I will be back very soon! read more
I loving visiting the Osprey. This is a "Good Salt" restaurant. Same owners as Reyes, and the Monroe. Here at the Osprey they focus on Seafood. I spent a lot of time coming here for Happy Hour over the years. I can guarantee you it's worth it! My favorite part about it, are the $2 oysters. (I remember when they were $1 :'( ). Yummm! Indoors, you can expect it to look and feel amazing (just like their sister spots). Lovely vibe! Outside of the oysters, I very often order their Fish & chips - lightly fried and fluffy, flavor is there! Cocktails here are delicious too. They are located in Baldwin so parking can be challenging depending on what time you go. Only street parking available. read more

The Osprey is worth a go, especially if you're an avid seafood lover. The oysters are always fresh (great on happy hour special) and there's always something interesting to try on the menu. Recently went for a friends birthday dinner and had a fantastic experience! The waiter greeted us all by name throughout the night after his initial greeting and took the time to review the menu in detail and recommend specialty cocktails since most of the group were there for the first time. Everyone shared appetizers and our entrees; tasting calamari, octopus, crush puppies, mussels, shrimp carbonara... everything was delicious and prepared exactly to our liking. I personally have been on other occasions with people who don't eat seafood and they were able to enjoy the land-faring dishes on the menu. Located in Baldwin park, nice area. Parking is street parking. Got a reservation, seated promptly even though we arrived early. Everyone was very nice, beautiful restaurant. I got the hermit, it wasn't sweet, kind of like their version of the old fashion, enjoyed it! We started out with the petite seafood tower and it was good! Wished it came with a little more sauce. For the main course, I went for the whole fish, that night it was sea bass, it was delicious. Had to work pretty hard at it since it was a whole fish! But it was well worth it. The husband got the rainbow trout and he enjoyed his dish. Side of truffle corn, pretty good! For dessert we shared the chocolate torte, it was a good size, rich but really delicious with the raspberry sauce on the side. You'll want to give yourself a little extra time to park when arriving here, as you'll likely need to do either street parking or head to a nearby garage on Jake street. Street parking is a bit limited. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It has a very nice ambiance inside and there's music played that fits the theme of the restaurant, but it's at a volume level where it's enjoyable and allows you to have conversations with your fellow diners. The service is fantastic. Servers are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. So service is not a thing to worry about here. The food, overall, is good with a few great items. The crush puppies, made with blue crab, Florida sweet corn and green goddess, were delicious and a definite must try for an appetizer. The crab cake that I had seemed to lack seasoning. It also had a side of watermelon rind that didn't add anything to the dish in my opinion. I'd skip this one. They've got a larger selection of seafood items, and one that I did like was their mussels. So two go-tos are their mussels and their crush puppies. I also like their Salmon Crudo, The fish was tender, delicious and well-seasoned. For my mains, I had their prime flank with bearnaise sauce and fries. The steak was good, but not great. It felt slightly tough, but I did order it cooked medium, which may have led to that. Normally, steak is quite flavorful all by itself, but not in this case. It tastes good, but not that flavorful on its own. If you add the sauce, it compensates for this. This is the rare case where a steak needs a sauce. For dessert, I had their banana bread pudding. I've gotten used to restaurants treating desserts as an afterthought, but this one was ok. It tasted more like banana bread than it did pudding. It lacked the moistness and consistency associated with a pudding. Granted, it was a banana bread pudding, but it still lacked the pudding portion in my view. They compensate for this by adding ice cream to the dish, but it doesn't quite make up for it. So, overall, the food is good and the service is fantastic. Would I come here again? Yes. There's a lot more of their menu left to try. Their stronger points seem to be on the seafood side, so I'd order from that end when you go. The drink selection is also fabulous. My table ordered a honey infused drink and a sangria that were both good. It's a solid restaurant and I recommend trying it. read more

I don't come to Baldwin Park very often, but I'm happy I finally got the opportunity to try this place out, it had been bookmarked for months. As soon as I walked in, I loved the decor...it was almost as pretty as the person I went with (refer to my picture) I feel like Good Salt Restaurant Group really gets it when it comes to creating a nice space. I have also been to the Monroe and Reyes and got the same feeling when I walked in. So kudos for aesthetically pleasing places. The highlight of my visit was a tie between the pull apart garlic cream cheese bread and our server Maggie. Both were equally awesome, so ask for both. (You're welcome.) We were there for the brunch menu, and decided to get a few things to pick on, everything was good. Our cocktails were excellent, I definitely want to go back to try the dinner menu and have actual seafood next time. There's street parking on New Broad St and there's a lot behind the restaurant!
Is there outdoor sitting with a view?
There is outdoor seating but it faces a street. The the lake can't be seen from the seats.
