***The Block*** Nope, not New Kids on The Block but "The Block" in Orange. That's what this place used to be called. I used to be a fan. Then I wrote a review and gave it one star and ended up deleting it 9 years later. What I wrote 9 years ago is no longer true either. Now known as the Outlets in Orange, this shopping plaza is AOK. You can get some great deals and you have plenty of shopping. There's even a farmers market type set up during the weekend. There are a couple of things that remain the same over the last decade Including I saw a group speaking sign language in front of the Starbucks. Still, parking sucks donkey butt. Linders chocolate store is the best anti-depressant I have ever had in my life. Fill my bag and fill my tummy with all kinds of delicious chocolate makes the worst of days the best of days. I got great deals at The Rack and at the Nike outlet. If you are still living in the 1980's, , the Guess store is the perfect spot for you. I will probably see you in there because my whole life is all about the 80's! Too bad they do not have an Esprit outlet or sell Aqua Net. Now, if they did that then this would be heaven. Good selection of stores. Many charge full prices on their wares. Some sales can be found in each store but it's nothing to brag about. The under armor store had most items at full MSRP. Had several places to eat within the block it sits on. Had a bowling alley and movie theater too. Not a bad place to walk around as it's an outdoor mall. Would visit again. read more

I got here around 1030 in the morning and it was not packed at all yet. The rain was helping that. I recommend parking near the Nike store it is the perfect location to hit every store you'd like in a straight shot. It is a decent outlet and I managed to find everything I needed. Will be coming back and I highly recommend! read more

Came to check this place out during my staycation. Never been here before so I was hoping it would be good. Upon arrival, I didn't realize they don't open until noon, got there about 45 min early. Decided to just walk around and was happy to see the Adidas store was open. Walked in and looked around. Good sale going on with 40% off everything and an additional 20% off when you show them the deal from the Simon website via yelp. Found me some loot and moved on. Bath and Body Works did a great job handing out umbrellas for you to use as you stood in line in the sun, and even passed out water to drink. That's a first! Didn't go to too many of the other stores, but might hang out longer next time as I didn't make it around the entire mall. Parking was great obviously because I got there early lol. Employees were very friendly. Appears clean and the grounds are well kept. I am definitely a fan and will be back again one day. 5 stars and highly recommend! read more

Eh, I'll give it some stars for having spacious walkways, nice building designs, and palm trees galore; can have a good stroll here (when it's not overly crowded). Looking past these, it's a typical outlet that has mad competition with nearby shopping centers in OC. I went on a Friday afternoon and the parking lots seem to be almost filled.....which was kinda strange when I later see that there weren't too many crowds at the outlet. One thing I really hated is all of the store directories being digital; the touchscreen is garbage (laggy/barely responsive). I'd rather have people hover behind me while I look at an actual paper map on the directory sign instead of having people behind me waiting to use the directory while I struggle typing Gap on the search bar. read more

Indoor malls are closed currently but the Outlets are open. If you have not been to the OC in awhile like me, this used to be called the Block. Plenty of different entrances and parking lots. Google told me the exact lot to park in for the one store we came for. Not to busy at opening time. They had random lines at random stores. Nice design, looks a lot cleaner and newer then when I came back in the day. read more

This outlet mall is nice, came here on a Friday and it wasn't too crowded and very clean. The shops are pretty standard but nice if you can find what you need. Has plenty of restaurants and entertainment places. Will definitely come here for a nice afternoon/evening out for shopping. read more

They have more stores here, but the prices are not any cheaper than the regular stores. That's kind of disappointing! Also, that's not an outlet in Orange County and the selections of this outlet is kind of disappointing compared to other outlets. I guess they don't expect to attract tourists, more for the locals to shop. But then the prices are not much cheaper here... Also, their food court selection is not really good; hope they will have better choices in future. read more

All the stores were observing safety protocols. Staff & customers were required to wear mask, sanitizing & social distancing with capacity limit enforced. More deals & discounts over discounts from one store to another. The best time to shop for the holidays! Surroundings were maintained well. Restrooms were neat & clean. The only thing is parking here, I'm here on a Saturday 1:30pm, hardly any open parking spaces and parking is not under ground, it's hot, so your car is gonna be hot unless you got window protection. Overall tho, looks like everyone is shopping at Nike outlet! I see NIKE BAGS! Lots of people here! It's a cool place to come to parlay! However, the parking is the downfall only! I'd come here tho! As far as an outlet in the city goes, this one is pretty decent in my opinion. I especially like Off fifth and Bloomingdale's outlet store. We often find premium designer items at great discounted prices. Amazing Tom Ford makeup deals which I often take advantage of. Victoria's Secret has a lot of deals all the time so be sure to check it out. The restaurants are great here, we go to Saddle Ranch the most cause I really like the outdoor bar. Lucky strike and Dave & Busters are great to take the entire families. Market boiler has the freshest seafood, also Buffalo Wild Wings and BJ's brewhouse are good chain restaurants. Since they have valet service so it's hassle free even on the busiest holiday weekends. I just really like how close by this outlet is! Ps. Valet is $8 next to Bloomingdale's outlet store! read more

Let's take a stroll down memory lane real quick....I remember when me and the fam would come here on our trips to SoCal all the time back when it was called "The Block at Orange". Back then this was the hang out and as a young teen I loved coming here. Loved going to Dave & Busters where we'd seen our fair share of drunk fights lol. Back when Jody Maroni's Sausage Kingdom was the best hot dog spot in town and they were literally everywhere back then and the hot dogs were bomb!! This was the place to go just to hang out and go eat. Who remembers when they had a big Hilo Hattie (the Hawaiian store) here??!! I loved going in there to get all the Hawaiian goodies without having to go to Hawaii. Those were the days! Fast forward 15-20 years and now it's called "The Outlets at Orange" and everything I just talked about is no longer there, they're all things of the past and what once was. This place is now like an outdoor outlet mall with a few restaurants and a movie theater and so on. It doesn't have the same appeal to me as it did. The stores seem to be a little more high end, they don't have the unique restaurants as before however they do have Lucky Strike and I actually like that place and I think it replaced Dave & Buster's lol. They are always super packed and if you come after 12pm forget about finding a parking spot, I find that I always have to pay for Valet when I come here. I miss the old block at orange when it was poppin'. I don't come here often because I think Main Place Mall and Citadel are better options as far as shopping goes. read more

This outlet mall has gotten better. More and more stores as they are expanding. I visited their Columbia store as to get 3 in 1 interchange jackets. Tons of jackets and base layers in stock. This store just opened recently so I'm glad there an outlet store closer in OC. This outlet also had Tommy Hilfiger, DKNY, Calvin Klein, Banana Republic, Torrid, Victoria's Secret , Nordstrom as well as Sketchers. There are more stores as well but those are the ones I visited. There's also a Vans skate shop and skating area so tons to do here. Lots of restaurants as well. Parking is hard to find as it's always crowded. Either go early go later in the evening. Otherwise you will spend a lot of time looking for parking. read more

I've been coming here since many years ago, when they were still called 'The Block.' Man, this place is always so packed, but the quality of the food court and basic mall needs definitely lack. If you're not here for the Dave & Buster's or AMC, I'd skip this location if you're just going to shop. First of all, with all the traffic here, it gets too crazy. I'm really surprised they still don't have any valet and/or parking structures. If you're just visiting the area, I'd skip this place and either go north over to the Brea Mall or go down south, either to South Coast Plaza or Fashion Island. read more

Only negative to this placeis parking! Aside from tgis,the outdoor shopping experience is great. Plenty of shops,food,and ambiance is great. If you like the outdoors,this is for you. I again love the stores they offer. Only have 1 Valet section,but you can park in building just behind the mall. Easy access from freeways and not at all over crowded. The Outlets of Orange is a nice outdoor shopping center to go for a walk, do a little shopping and get some fresh air. There are also some nice restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat. There are lots of quality name brand apparel outlet stores, where you can often get stuff for great prices, especially during sales. The shopping center is dog friendly, so taking your best friend is an option. My favorite store at Outlets of Orange is Columbia, where you can pick up active wear as well as cold weather gear. The shopping center is expansive, but I feel it's missing some boutique gift, tech or specialty stores. More seating with umbrellas or a covering, would also be an improvement. There are no open play areas for children; e.g. grassy, playground. It is a great place for picking up a few things before that upcoming trip or a quick bite to eat. Have been going here for years, but I'm disabled. While I do have my own wheelchair, it is very heavy and my mother cannot carry it up to her car. So when I visit this mall with my mother, we always know we can get a wheelchair so I can enjoy the mall with her. Unfortunately, today (03/03/22) when I called security to open the door so that we can get a wheelchair, I was informed over the phone that they will no longer be supplying them anymore. I asked why and they had no clue. When I asked when they will be supplied again in a later date, they also had no clue I love this place, but unfortunately I cannot go here anymore with specific people whose cars cannot accommodate my wheelchair or who cannot physically carry my wheelchair on/off their car, and I'm very disappointed. Especially since many other malls I've gone to in OC have wheelchairs available. I can only walk short distances before my body gives out and faints on me, so a wheelchair is very much needed. read more

We were here just to walk around. We did not spend any money or buy anything. This shopping center is dying. It was really kind of sad. It was pretty deserted. There was almost no one there. We did wander around Nordstrom Rack for a few minutes but didn't find anything we were interested in. Don't really have a reason to come down here. read more

Stopped by to kill some time before heading home. Thought I would be able to find some good deals at the outlet. There was a variety of different stores to choose from, including restaurants and a movie theatre. I really need new running shoes and was hoping to land a sweet deal at Adidas they had a 40% off deal the entire store except for the shoes I wanted of course! The ultraboost 19 were full price $190 and the last season ones were still $121 with the deal. Limited sizing only found one pair in my size. Went to a few other stores to look around. Carter's had a sale but still wasn't very good. It was just a hard sell, for an outlet you would except lower prices but it seems like everything is the same retail pricing compared to the regular mall. Not what I was hoping for but we got to experience what they had to offer just not what I was looking for price comparison wise. This mall is one of the crustiest malls in all of southern california. I came all the way from a far distance in anticipation of an orange county mall, but was disappointed with an extremely dated mall from the past. Many places still call it the block?, what kind of mall is this? an outlet, well it needs to act like one? Stores at regular poor prices w only the outdated storefronts and past retail aesthetics that of what once were outlets stores. Stores such as Both and Bodywork's come straight out a 2010s ad. 3.5-4 stars The Outlets at Orange, formally known as The Block, is an outdoor outlet mall. When the weather is nice, it is nice to take a stroll and a great way to spend a few hours. I don't tend to frequent The Outlets at Orange as much as Ontario Mills but there a few stores here that are not offered at Ontario Mills. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants here, but we did notice Market Broiler here, which is the same as the one at Ontario Mills. Foot traffic seems a bit on the lower end, but that may be due to the layout of the stores. It is nice though with wider areas to walk and not having to dodge others. I came here yesterday specifically because I wanted to check out the Columbia store. There were some great deals but not much inventory left for winter clothes. They have already moved onto spring and summer, at least for women. The jacket I was looking at was cheaper than the online store, but not by much. It was nice to be able to see the jacket in person and try it on. Having never tried omni heat items before, I found that it was too warm for me. I like shopping at physical stores at times because shopping online does not always compare in fit, material touch, and etc. However, we were surprised that they is only a Polo Ralph Lauren for Men, but there isn't one for women and girls. We were hugely disappointed in that as all Polo Ralph Lauren stores were having a 50% off the entire store sale going on this week. The Timberland store also barely has any women accessories and no clothing for women, only shoes for women and less than a handful of women's socks. For the amount of floor space in the store, it is quite disappointing. They were even selling last year's women's socks still here at this store. Not sure how fast their inventory turnover is. I would think that it's slower than Ontario Mills as they were sold out of these women socks last year. Aerie had a perfect amount of floor space and had plenty of items on sale. If you are looking for brands, there is also Bloomingdale's and Neiman Marcus Last Call (which Ontario Mills no longer has) and many others, and also a movie theater. Parking can get quite crowded, but it also depends on where you park and if it is during the holiday season. read more

They've finally lived up to their potential and are able to hang with the Citadel outlet. The new revamping and expansion of stores and pedestrian friendly areas like the multiple benches, wooden lounge chairs make it the outlets a pleasureable place to hang out while the wife is out shopping! The daytime shopping and nighttime eateries and Hangouts are great. Parking though is still a pain in the butt. There is valet for $8 if you're having trouble finding a spot. Window shopping on a Friday afternoon with hubby. Strolling through and checking out the shops was easy. Reminded me of when we were young and just dating, and half of the fun was just holding hands looking at stuff. We easily found parking, but I was shocked that the lot was as full as it was. You'd expect to see crowds or hoards of people inside the plaza; but no, not the case at all. It was moderately busy and navigating around was a breeze. We visited Lindt, Crocs, Bath and Bodyworks, and Adidas. The latter was the busiest with the most people. The staff at the stores we visited were all happy and provided good customer service. The only negative that I observed were the skateboarders. They can be careless when skating around. read more

The Outlets of Orange (Simon Property Group) has no care for their surroundings or their property and consistently violates the law. They have been doing construction for YEARS from 10pm through 5am. It is dirty and distracting. I am a neighbor to this mall and I have not gotten a good night's sleep in over a year. They have heavy machines and dump trucks at all hours of the night. It is illegal in the city of Orange to perform real-property maintenance or construction (with the exception for permits on/for emergency construction/repair) before 8am and after 10pm Monday-Saturday with NO maintenance/construction on Sunday or Federal Holidays. Additionally, they retrofitted their parking lots with failing LED lighting which flickers and flashes causing nearby residents discomfort. Specifically, it's hard to sleep with the flashing lights and they cause migraines. I feel bad for those people who may have epilepsy and drive through or live here. Corporate has made no effort to cease these actions and stop communicating with you once you bring the law to their attention. Unfortunately, Simon Property group is going to be sued personally by residents of my building as well as my property management company. Thank goodness Snapchat has date/time stamping for their videos. I have hundreds of videos of all their atrociously loud and dirty construction. I probably caught a myriad of environmental violations as well. All of the audio in the videos are too loud to be played at full-volume. Could you imagine what it's like to live with it in real life and not a distant recording? read more
