We've been to Outskirts before and the service seems to get worse. we're not sure if it's because they don't have enough employees or what. [[HIGHLIGHT]]we were seated outside but the high chair we were given was down at our knee level so we were moved to a table which was reserved for a party which was happening in an hour.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had to be finished in an hour we were told. We sat at that table for a very long time with no one showing up so we went and asked if we could move inside. We chose our own table, even though the sign said, "wait to be seated". We sat at the new table for a lengthy time until a waitress showed up. We had ordered drinks which one of us didn't get his beer until the rest of us were finished with ours, we had to ask for it. We ordered 2 shareables which came with our meal and one shareable French fries which never came until we were ready for our checks. One meal was asked if he wanted French fries or salad, he chose salad, it arrived with fries. We all asked for water, none of us received any. We had a well behaved 3 year old with us and his chicken strips were the last to arrive and it was about 10 min later than the rest of ours. We never saw the waitress after we received our meals. She was hard to find. We won't be going back there because there are so many other great restaurants to try out. read more

Such a great treat for our little town of Selah. Great food, locally brewed beer and an awesome staff.

Service was slow but our waitress was very friendly. This is a great spot to have drink but the restaurant is lacking. Had the coconut prawns and they were ok, but a bit overcooked and we didn't care for the pineapple dipping sauce, kinda bland. The French dip was on cibatta, with grilled onions and cheese. I prefer it to be on grilled French bread so it doesn't get soggy, but it was still good. Came with fries or a salad. We ordered a side salad. It is the spring mix lettuce which a lot of people love. I prefer a salad with the crunch of romaine. Nice drink list. Tons of parking. We will definitely return. read more

We are so glad "Outskirts" is here in Selah. I've been going since they opened last year. I haven't been dissapointed once. The steak kabobs, chicken skewers, basic burgers, salmon straws are my favorite. The outskirts margarita is the best one I've ever had in in this area. Love the live music and beautiful building and landscape. The staff is always hustling and sometimes when it's busy you have to have a little patience. I/we have been there a 5 times now and the service has always been excellent. SERVICE: 5 Stars Ambiance: 5 Stars Dog friendly 0 Stars Beverages: 5 Stars Menu selections: 5 Stars Food Quality : 5 stars With the massive green areas I would think that local owners from Selah would not be so anti dog. There is sufficient room to have some dog friendly outside area. Sad that the cute little puppy wasn't welcome. I get it and understand as their grass is very nice none the less we had to leave on visit 6, my fault as I didnt call and just assumed that a large outdoor area in Selah, Yakima County would have been dog friendly. The last time we were there with a group of 6 everyone's Burgers were cold. Luke warm at best. I felt bad as I had just been there about 2 weeks prior with my wife and all was perfect. I had been telling our neighbors how great the place is and I think they were all looking at me like I had bumped my head on something after their food arrived. Our Server took care of it immediately. Even the next batch of replacement burgers were better but still just not that hot and fries were over salted (everytime). I felt bad for our server as she was amazing. I am not sure how a 2nd burger can come out luke warm at best unless the condiments put on it were too cold and perhaps it sat at the wait curb too long. I did notice that some of the wait staff carry on some longer than normal conversations with customers. Maybe a pager system for them would help when orders are ready. Better yet all staff should take out orders regardless of whos table it is so they never sit and get cold. As a suggestion I would have cooks using a instant read temp. probe. Had they used one the first time they would have seen that they were around 120 Deg F. They were all cooked all the way. Even my Medium was well done but cold. I will go back as we like it because of the great staff and all other times food has been great. Service is what makes or breaks it and they are amazing! read more

Took several minutes to tell us we couldn't sit for dinner because they had an event in an hour and a half.

The filet was cooked to perfection and very tender with a truffle sauce with truffles in it on top! Sooo delicious! The veggie choice was very tasty too. The shaved parmigiana on the Caesar was fresh. It's my first time here, but I will be back for sure! read more

Very impressed with this place. Stopped by here with family for a birthday a few weeks ago. We ordered bison burgers and hamburgers, enjoyed a great hazy pale (it was called Canyon Crusher), and to top it all off, huckleberry ice cream for dessert! The Bison burgers are large, good portions, and flavorful, much like the Bison burgers I enjoyed on my MT road trip earlier in the year (see my review for the Montana Club in Missoula). Friendly staff, a country atmosphere, and great beer make this a place I will return to. Maybe when there's a concert! Still new and working things out, but it seems to be getting better. We waited for over an hour for our food to come out, after watching many people who ordered after us get their food, only two of the four entrées we ordered were delivered. After 30 minutes of waiting with no one checking on us, (and two plates of cold food) we asked and were told the two Mother's Day specials did not make it to the kitchen due to a "glitch" and we would have to wait another 25 minutes for them to cook it and put it together. We waited patiently, and food was delivered 30 minutes later. When our bill was delivered, there was no offer for the mistake and the sweet server said she was told to wait to see if we complained before offering anything.. WHAT!!! She then had to walk outside into another building to go ask the manager Bailey if it was OK if she took a percentage off of our bill. Just a round of drinks would have been great but we had to wait another 10 minutes for Bailey to come and talk to us after we insisted on a conversation. We were not asking for free food or a handout as we could easily afford our meals. Just an apology and acknowledgment that there was an error that needed to be fixed. Instead we were met with a young lady that was defensive, full of excuses and condescending. Very disappointed in the management of this establishment. There is definitely training and work to be done. read more

This place bills itself as the "working man's place" yet makes zero attempt to act like it. .y wife and I were in town for an overnight stay and looked up local breweries to check out. This one was at the top of the list, so we stopped by. To our detrement, as it was the worst possible choice we could have made. Tried ordering a flight, but the customer gets no choice of beers comprising the flight, their picks only. Then, we attempted to order a short pour of one of their beers and was met with "we only sell by the pint" reply by the server. The food was subpar as well. I ordered the truffle fries with black garlic aioli and found it inedible. Never coming back until we see a "under new management" sign. read more

We ate here on a Saturday afternoon, not busy yet at all, which was nice. Very limited menu, but did find a chicken Caesar salad at least for lunch. My husband had the club sandwich & it was huge - we both enjoyed our food, it was a bit pricey though. Server was great. My biggest concern & pause for going back is the fact that there were bugs crawling around, not a few but also not like an infestation either, but enough to gross me out & make me feel itchy & skiddish. Not sure if it had anything to do with where we sat, up against the wall near the fireplace, although I saw them on the floor around other tables further into the restaurant as well. Atmosphere was nice, clean and welcoming. Staff did not seem experienced. Wait time for food was average. Portions were great, however pricing is ridiculous. I was charged 10.00 extra for a bit of chicken on my fettuccine. That was on top of my 18.00 for the dish. Then one in our group had a meat dish that was 53.00 she ordered med and it came rare!! Another one in our group tasted cleaner in his fry sauce. This place has the potential to be a great place but they need to invest in an experienced chef. If they are going to charge prices that belong to a 5 star restraunt then an experienced chef needs to cook. And waiters need to be trained. Pasta was also underdone. We had a party of 6 and no one was satisfied, and none of us will return. read more

Beer is not very good, probably weakest in the valley. The bratwurst was terrible and the price tag was stiff. Prime Rib was good. Service was good, ambiance good. Beer and food have ways to go. read more

The atmosphere of this place is fantastic. Tucked in off the road, just enough to feel like you're in the country. We came for an early dinner about 430 and it was a ghost town. There were about 13 people working, so no issues with service. We ordered a handful of items to try. The fries, ehhh, the dipping sauce was gross. (My opinion) the coconut shrimp were slightly over fried and could use more coconut, but they were still some of the best Ive ever had. The dipping sauce straight up tasted like vinegar and was inedible. The steak skewers were good but not cooked as asked and the house salads were good. We had cocktales, both of which were poorly made. The Margarita was absolutely terrible, As were the Moscow mules. I hope their beers are better. The place was clean and orderly and staff was fantastic. Tons of parking. Might be awhile before we come back. Price was reasonable based on what we received. read more

Beautiful place nice staff. I feel the food is definitely overpriced. You don't usually get charged $1.50 for sauce. I had a burger. It was burnt and waaay overdone. Only four in our party. And they added a gratuity to it instead of giving me a choice of what to leave. We'll probably consider next time going somewhere else. read more

Food was ok, bison burger was super dry, asked for medium and it was definitely well done, fries were good though. There are bugs all over the place, not sure why or what kind of little bugs they are but please take care of them. I had dinner inside then decided to go outside to enjoy some drinks and the scenery. Had to pay my check to keep the outside orders and inside separate, when hanging out outside the kids wanted ice cream so we decided to order some. The outside bar told me I couldn't order anything through them, went inside and was told I had to order my stuff outside if I was out there lol. read more

It's a beautiful building. I'll give it that. The waitress brought a bottle of water and two very small glasses, no ice. I asked for any kind of sparkling water and the waitress said they have none. Yet later, upon looking around, I noticed that they have a full bar, not just beer and wine. Surely they have soda water in one of the guns? Should I have ordered a scotch and soda, hold the scotch? The lunch menu is very small. I ordered the BLTA with a salad. The sandwich came with white bread only, no other choice. The sandwich insides were tasty, though. The salad came packed into a small bowl, with the lettuce pieces very large. This is a pet peeve of mine. Did anyone in charge try to eat one of these salads before they made that decision? You can't eat lettuce that large and you can't cut it in a bowl. The salad ends up all over the table. My husband got the salmon Caesar. The salmon smelled fishy and tasted old. There was not enough dressing on the salad, so he ended up using the rest of my blue cheese dressing, since the waitress never came back to check on us. He also got a coffee, which was strong from having sat too long. And he had to stir it with his fork, as he wasn't given a spoon with the cream and sugar! This was our first visit, and sadly, our last. read more
