The pilsner we had at The Outskirts Brewing!
    Alden C.

The Outskirts Brewing is located in Selah, Washington. One of two breweries located here one could describe the town as a suburb to Yakima. It's even more chill here with the lack of traffic compared to Yakima but compared to Western Washington Yakima is relatively chill too. I love the location for this brewery. Fresh, new building with a huge yard in the back to play outdoor games and to enjoy your beers in a nice, warm day. The beer though? Eh. It was OK. We had the Pilsner and it was just fair in our opinion. We love pilsners but felt it was just fair We didn't pick up an infectious breadiness and yeastiness that we adore and it just kind of seemed something that was run of the mill. They serve food but we didn't delve into that. We were after the beer to try. Parking was a bit confusing for us. We parked too soon and made a wrong turn winding up in a used car lot. Someone that was working there said someone would be along shortly to assist but asked if this was brewery parking. He said it wasn't and that we had to move. We did find the parking eventually once we got closer to the brewery building.

Stop in.... So..... First: ambiance: STELLAR; service: Danielle "excellent"; Food: incredible (limited choices but what they do, they do fresh and fabulous). Bun on bread was de-lish and I love that they put bacon under the cheese. They are new so I gave them a break for the 45 minute wait for food (can't come here for lunch break "yet" - I'm certain they will work this out). The drinks that came out even at lunch looked so good I wasn't drinking (shocker) and I see a lot of people with draft beer and since draft beer could change they have a virtual menu right at the bar. It's really cool see my picture. Downside (maybe) NOT DOG FRIENDLY this could be a big issue (even though there is outside seating) but... not a deal breaker for me. LOVE OUTSKIRTS and will be back for sure. PS- the merchandise choices with their name on it right right up there with other local places.

Took several minutes to tell us we couldn't sit for dinner because they had an event in an hour and a half.

Save your money! Do not go to this overpriced "tavern"! The waitstaff doesn't even know what is on the menu.

Not great. Expensive and sub par food, typical expensive drinks. Outdoor bar makes no sense with no service basically.

Well... we finally did it... and shame on us for waiting so long. Such a very cool place and the vibe was great. An open concept inside, with a couple spots outdoors as you enter inside. My wife and I decided to split our meals and we ended up ordering the Chicken Tinga Street Tacos, as well as, a platter of Chicken Nachos. Both very delicious and the cilantro is simply supreme on this! The radishes was a nice touch, with some sauce over corn tortillas with that Cotiga cheese. I would prefer flour, but I'll take it! We also had the Saison which was light, a bit dry, crisp and sort of lemony. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and the neighboring tables. Had some good conversations with local folks. As always, enjoy and Happy Mule Elking!

The tacos were a 10 out of 10, the fire pit was awesome outside and I note several little improvements wherever I look. Under the old ownership, things seemed to be slipping toward the end, but all that is fixed now. I haven't been at this place for a couple of years and was passing through so I thought I'd give it a shot, and I'm super glad I did. It is once again on my list of cool places to stop in my travels. To the new owners --well done.

I have never seen such great wooden architecture before in my life. There are enough seats to host large events as well as many games and books to enjoy. What's great about this place is that they have non-alcoholic beer as well as a variety of craft brewery. The bartender, Jason, was very helpful in deciding which beer to try. If you get a chance to come here, I highly recommend ordering: -Self Care "Scherler Easiest Lager" (N/A): very light, hoppy, tastes like a normal IPA, but without the buzz. It is a bit watered down in opinion, but I don't mind it. -Hourglass IIPA (8.5%): An Imperial IPA with strong pine and orange flavors, a little bitter, crisp, and fresh. Better than your typical lager. -Huckleberry Cider (6.4%): sweet, and beautiful color, a great choice for cider lovers. -"Virgin" Bloody Mary: your typical Mary, but without the booze, and a splash of Yucatán Habanero hot sauce. You can heat it up as much as you want with their variety of sauces. Packwood Brewery is a must try for any hikers or vacationers. Grab a pint, sit back, and relax after a very tiring adventure!
