This is a farm to table restaurant. We went during Sunday brunch so we did not order off the menu. The food was amazing. There is appetizers, salads, breakfast foods (bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy,etc), a waffle bar, & dessert table. They also have a full bar. Service was great. Ambience was magical. It is Christmas time so they were several Christmas trees and winter decor items. It's a very spacious restaurant with several areas to sit at a table & a store at the entrance of the restaurant. A friend and I had lunch together today at Ozark Mill. I ordered smoked salmon dip and a Ruben sandwich with fries. Everything was ok but nothing was really great. The dip was average , but nothing special. I didn't care for the Ruben at all, it didn't have much sauerkraut at all & no taste of 1000 island dressing. It was pretty bland & the meat was too smoky & tough. The old mill is neat to see & it's a very pretty setting. I will go back & give it another chance sometime. Hopefully I will change my opinion of the food. The service was not great either, after we received our food we didn't see the waitress until we were completely done eating. Which was frustrating because we both needed ketchup & drinks refilled. The restaurant was not busy, so it was not that she was just too busy to check in. read more

Had lunch with 20 ladies on Tuesday 21st. We were told we had the smaller menu because of our group size and the kitchen didn't wanted to be backup. Several of us wanted the lunch special small pizza and salad. We were told we couldn't order it because it was on the lunch menu, not the small menu. Two ladies tried to order 3-meat pasta, plate listed on the small menu, but was told the kitchen was out of it. I ordered the Classic Caesar salad. Description baby romaine, Parmesan crisps, croutons, Caesar dressing. The salad had 3/4 of it mixed with Spring lettuc. Lifting up thr spring lettuce I looked for the romaine. The romaine on the bottom of the plate were larger pieces of the romaine core. Two minutes later the waitress asked all of us how our meals were? I showed her all of the spring lettuce lifting it with a fork. I told her the menu said romaine lettuce , nothing about spring lettuce. Server said the Caesar salad at night has the spring lettuce even though I made her aware that it wasn't on the menu and then it's not a Caesar salad. She did not apologize, asked if she could replace it, she just walked away. The server never did come back until she dropped off our check. I had taken two bites until I noticed a bitter taste, the spring lettuce . She quietly leaned over to me and said she didn't charge me for the soda because she forgot to type in the drink. I was still charged $11.00 for a salad miss two bites. Four of the ladies by me were so upset because one dish was not available and we were not allowed to order from the lunch menu or the daily lunch special . After I got home I did a review on trip advisor and to The Mill restaurant . I got a standard response letter saying I would be contacted to the best of their ability in 24 hours. I attended church 48 hours later and the word had gotten out the poor service and menu selection for the ladies luncheon . As I am writing this it is now 72 hours with no phone call or email from customer service or management at The Mill. The whole situation was embarrassing for me both at the restaurant and at church. Shame on the management . Even fast food restaurants have a better policy. Example Burger King will make your food over again or reimburse you for the mistake . read more

Basically a cheese pizza for $19. It's okay, but nothing exciting. It used to be something you traveled to eat; however, they changed the recipe. We had the spinach dip for appetizer and it's not the typical you are used to getting, it's better. The place is awesome all around but hopefully they change the pizza. Before... big crispy bubbles in the dough, chunks of tomato and basil. Now... flat soggy dough, chiffonade basil that cooks out, and a bland red sauce. Flavor is still good but as I said nothing exciting on your palate. So many other choices so we will be back, just not for pizza. read more

Wow, from the moment you pull onto this property, you are swept back into time! Absolutely amazing! The service, food, and ambiance are absolutely over the top! The Mill Burger is the best burger we have ever had! Gruyere Cheese, Braised Short Ribs, Truffle Aoili, Arugula, all on top of the Burger! Seasoned to perfection! The Green Tomato Cake is absolutely so moist and delicious! You can not taste the tomato. It's like adding apple sauce to a cake for moisture. All the food was served hot and fresh tasting! Our server was very informative and attentive. The view from our table looking outside was beautiful! Even the bathroom is unquic! We highly recommend this place. It is off the beaten path between Branson and St. Louis. But it is well worth the extra few minutes. read more

First of all, it's expensive for the small food portions. The kitchen and wait staff are slow. Ambiance is rustic and nice, but oddly there is no outside sign to announce the front door. No name on the restaurant. The decorative yard lights aren't on at dusk so we had to call and ask how to get in. When we got there, it looked closed. Food: meatloaf is almost $40! Steaks are twice that. The child's portion of spaghetti sauce on noodles is $15. The "smash burger" with fries is $20. Sonic drive-in makes a much better smash burger for less than half their price and you don't have to wait 65 minutes to get it. It appears they've spent lots of money building the site, but not on staff, cooks, or supervision. I don't recommend it for a special family gathering like we had wanted. read more

When you drive up to Ozark Mill, it's giving Chip and Joanna Gaines vibes. It has a cute gift shop, decent dinner views, and live outdoor music. Our server was also very nice and knowledgeable. We were excited to try this place after viewing the menu, but left incredibly disappointed in the food and drinks. We ordered a salad, pork chop, and pizza - all bland. Y'all. Y'all. wow. I am in love. 6/5 stars. You can't miss this experience. It's amazing. This place is a gem. Go during happy hour (everyday but Saturday) from 2pm to 5pm. Their happy hour smoked salmon dip ($7.50) is one of my favorite things I've had at a restaurant this year. Don't sleep on their risotto fritters either ($7). Those are small bites of happiness. Their pizza's are fire-baked sourdough crust and that Butcher & the Bee is dee-licious. That Mike's Hot Honey drizzle over sausage + pepperoni offers a sweet to the salty and the sourdough crust is crispy and chewy and has so much flavor. The hot honey is the perfect subtle sweetness topping and balances the savory saltiness of the pork so so well. (Que that song, "I just can't get enough. I just can't get enough"). Oh y'all. Their ricotta ravioli is crave-a-ble. Chef Korman knocks it out of the park with these little flavor bites. Incredibly well done. The grain bowl was a feast of flavors. And I'd order it again in a heartbeat, add grilled chicken. The vegetables tasted so fresh, and paired with that yummy romesco sauce, oh-M-gee. The chicken was perfectly tender and juicy. It's a grain bowl done two notches better than any other grain bowl I've tried. Their gem lettuce salad was perfect. So so good. The fried chicken sandwich was very good. It's a well done chicken sandwich. After trying so many of their dishes, I'd say it hasn't been my favorite thing on the lunch menu, but worth a try if it's calling your name. And the views while enjoying great food paired with excellent service don't really get any better than this. It's a special experience dining here either on the back patio or inside the main dining room. Both offer fantastic views overlooking the water flowing over the Finley River dam. It's a great date spot, for sure, but do yourself a favor and go during happy hour, it's the same great food for a lot less $$. During happy hour they offer half-price appetizers and specials on cocktails, beer, and wine. We aren't from the area, but find ourselves driving out of our way to keep coming back. We love the Ozark Mill at Finley Farms restaurant and I hope to get to go back a few times each year, it's really that special. I haven't had anything less than delicious yet on their menu. Oh! I almost forgot! Their cocktail program is on. point. Love love love the gin fizz and the old fashioned. They have some great offerings of canned/bottled beer on their menu too. A great experience overall! The restaurant is uniquely located in a preserved 1800s watermill and is quite charming. They have a beautiful outdoor dining space but it was a bit warm outside, so we chose to sit inside with a great view of the Finley River. We never felt rushed as we chatted with our friends before ordering. Everyone at our table throughly enjoyed their entrees and drinks. I personally had the Shrimp and Grits and it was delicious. The shrimp were very tender and the parmesan grits were covered with an amazing roasted tomato & bacon gravy/sauce. My cocktail, Spicy Citrus Bloom, was chilled perfectly and not too sweet--very refreshing on a warm day. After dinner we stopped by the General Store that is directly next to the restaurant. Just Wow! Dined here around 4:30 on a Sunday. Nice table overlooking a river. Service was excellent. Fairly priced drinks and a nice selection of wines by the glass. We started with the Short Rib Appetizer, best ribs I ever had! The bbq sauce was delicious and I loved the peppers and pickled onions that accompanied the dish. I ordered for my entree the Grain Bowl. It had rice, quinoa, barley, carrots and a tomato sauce that really brought it all together. I would be hard pressed not to order this meal every time. I'm giving three stars, and only so high because the views are great for a restaurant in the area. Otherwise, you're eating pretentiously named and overpriced food that isn't cooked all that well, in a place that's hyped up as if it's fancy, when actually you're eating in a grungy old barn that was just a ruined mill for decades... this isn't exactly luxury. Still, they're priced as if they are--especially for the area. I just don't get it--it doesn't seem like a well fleshed out restaurant concept to me. The food is also a disappointment. For example, I just bought a $110 steak special yesterday, and frankly, I could've gotten a better tasting, higher quality steak at Outback--and for the price, I get world-class steaks during work trips at establishments like Morton's, Fleming's, Ruth's Chris, etc. And locally, Flame or Jimm's would be the better choice for such a steak. So, I feel very let down that I paid so much for such a poorly done steak--this thing had the taste and texture of a tough chuck roast cut. Additionally, they don't dry-age, which is a disappointment for a high-priced steak. And, further, they have no idea how to sear properly. Honestly, avoid paying for steak at The Ozark Mill. They have a ~$84 22-ounce bone-in ribeye on their regular menu, and for that price, if it compares to the low quality of the awful tomahawk steak I just had yesterday, well... if you order it, I'm sure you'll be as disappointed as I am. That said, the views are great. You're really paying for a view, and nothing more. Then again, you can get a similar view cooking a steak on a bbq grill at the park across the river, and odds are that steak is cheaper and tastes just as good. *caveat: I haven't had any issues with service here. Servers are nice and attentive. Though... holy cow, kitchen staff, not only do you clearly lack the necessary tools to properly cook high-priced steaks based on what you sent me, but it also took an hour for you to cook a steak... that's not awesome service. I feel bad for the server having to be the bearer of bad news about the wait--the chef probably ought to have come out to bear that burden for him. read more

What a lovely place. The area is more rustic that I would have though, the location feels almost country-ish. The staff was great, super friendly , and were on top of filling up waters, getting items and just being great. I came here for a group outing, and it was decent. A large room in the back was able to hold almost 100 of us. The food was different but good. The hush-puppies were good for an app. The steak was cooked MR and really good. Much better than I expected to be honest. The tomato cake thing at the end was a little different but overall I like this place. At Ozark Mill you are definitely paying for the experience. While the food is pretty good; you are definitely paying top dollar to be there. The place is beautiful, and I strongly suggest going on a day you can dine outside to experience the true reason to come. Sitting outside near the small dam with the lighting and sound of water near you is very relaxing and adds so much more to your dining experience. There's also a foot bridge that's lit up, and leads to an old building they hold events at. Just the building skeleton, but this just adds to the beauty. This place really makes you feel like you are experiencing what the settlers did here in the Ozark, but with modern comfort and prices. I still highly recommend this place as a date night, and don't skip the spinach dip!!! read more

This was one of our favorite restaurants in the area, and then it wasn't. We had had many great meals here in a row, but then something happened. Not sure what, but the last few times we have gone the drinks, food and service just were not that good. Cold and sloppy food, lazily put together drinks, and servers that disappear for the majority of your meal. It's a shame because we loved it so much, but at their price point it's just not worth it to have even one, much less three bad experiences.
