Harvest Salad with grilled chicken & honey mustard dressing

We were driving through Bethlehem around lunchtime yesterday and found the Painted Pony on Yelp with mostly positive reviews--and one bad one. We thought it would be worth checking out to see if that one reviewer was wrong. They were. We went in the early afternoon, closer to 2pm, so there was no lunch rush or crowd. We sat at the bar. We got a wine and a beer, pretty straightforward drinks, with quick service from the bartender. The only criticism I had on the service was that we didn't get menus very quickly, but after we did the bartender checked in us with just the right frequency and made sure all came out right. I ordered the Harvest Salad with chicken plus a side of fries with ranch. The salad was everything I wanted (I did change it up a little and get honey mustard dressing instead of balsamic). The fries, bruh, the fries. Don't skip the fries. Ranch is a personal preference for fry dippage. The ranch was nothing to write home about, but got the job done. No photos to show of the following, but my fiancé is a bit of a burger snob, and he got the Bistro Burger medium rare and loved it.

Came here for lunch after pumpkin picking with some friends. The decor is awesome. Although it was a little chilly as they just opened, I still felt warm and cozy. Very rustic feel, and everything seemed pretty new (I did not know it was recently transferred to new management). We sat in the area that would normally be a screened in eating area, but they had the plastic on the windows and the fireplace going. For drinks we got a couple of beers and iced tea. Our server recited the list of draft beers to us. To start we ordered the jalapeño popper dip and fried mozzarella. The dip was delicious. Not spicy at all, very flavorful. It comes with 4 thick and salted pretzels (should come with more like 6). The fried mozzarella were large triangles that they may in fact make in house because they were delicious. Int seem frozen I also ordered a NE Clam chowder. It was good. Spiced a little different than I'm used to but still tasty. For lunch, my wife ordered the Build your own Flatbread. Great idea by the way. She really enjoyed it and took some home for dinner. Buddy's wife ordered the chicken sandwich which on the menu says "Chicken" as the menu item. She enjoyed it, however it was oozing smashed avocado. Maybe a little much on it. My buddy ordered the steak sandwich which came with a side of AuJus. He said it was very good. I ordered the burger with everything on it. Flavor wise it was good, although the overuse of smashed avocado plagued me as well. I asked for a rare burger and it came out medium well. But, sweet tots? These are a real thing? They were 100% amazing! I have find out how to make these or where to buy them cause wow. The food took a little long to come out as well. All in all, a good visit. Our server was very nice and did a good job with our table. She also let us know there was a brunch going on for a large group in the other room which is why our food took long. Service - 5 Stars Food - 3 Stars We will visit this place again next time we're in the area.

"Drop all your troubles by the riverside Catch a painted pony on the spinnin' wheel ride" (Spinning Wheel -Blood, Sweat and Tears) Your troubles will definitely be dropped when you pop into the Painted Pony and enjoy their wonderful blend of atmosphere, service, budget friendly pricing, generous portions, and some pretty darned great food. I started off with a cup of their Augolemono https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=GL1Vpb09aaYL2kUJbO_8og&userid=cVrM2BvOvPV0Vi_rC8kepQ an insanely wonderful homemade Greek soup made with chicken broth, rice, eggs, and lemon. It was a pretty decent sized cup that was worth every penny of its $3.50 price tag. The rest of our order was a small focaccia pizza with meatballs ($9) and a half Turkey/ham combo grinder ($9) served on fresh Italian bread, with cheese, lettuce, and tomato. We were very satisfied with both dishes. The pizza turned out to be a very large portion https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=mV0IZcAXBYiw-HBLGyqsmQ&userid=cVrM2BvOvPV0Vi_rC8kepQ of eight wedges. I was struck by not how many meatball slices were set on the pizza, but how thick they were. In fact, the word "slabs" fits a lot better than the word "slice". That pizza was great. The Combo sandwich https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=H7LJb-eFSgedY1YYJP2gXQ&userid=cVrM2BvOvPV0Vi_rC8kepQ was delicious, and we ended up splitting the half sandwich, so that picture you see is half of the served portion. Lunch ran a very reasonable $27 and we took home a good percentage of that large pizza portion. Hey, I almost forgot to tell you about their complimentary garlic bread served piping hot straight from the oven! Bottom line is that we really enjoyed every aspect of our Saturday lunch. Well done, Painted Pony !

    Crème brûlée cheesecake

They changed their menu but did not change their website so I had gone there wanting the pork belly flatbread which had a fig glaze, Gorgonzola, pork belly, and caramelized onions instead it had what I think was arugula, caramelized, onion that looked/tasted more like pickled onions and bacon. the fig glaze tasted like extremely sweet honey.. I was not impressed. It was soggy on the bottom and just overly sweet. I could only eat 2 pieces. The crème brûlée cheesecake was phenomenal. It was light and absolutely delicious!! The jala mango wings were super crispy and delicious not overly spicy, would absolutely recommend had 2 mixed drinks that were good. Also brought home a steak sandwich the steak was basically rubber. It was gag worthy unfortunately... I would go here again but honestly pricing and quality of food were not well matched.

Solid spot to go after a day on the slopes. We were leaving Mohawk Mountain in Cornwall and wanted something to eat on the way home. I was in the mood for classic pub style fare and that's what we got. They feature a "super" Bloody Mary which my girlfriend ordered. It had bacon, shrimp, and blue cheese stuffed olives! Would I go back? Certainly. This will probably be our go to spot after Mohawk.

Always love it here. This is my third time and everything I've had has been out of this world! They have a cute patio to sit on too

What a great place! The food is so awesome! They give you plenty of food and they have some really creative dishes. A true gem of a restaurant with reasonable prices. Get the cheese curd poutine, it's amazing!

Special table today for the newlyweds, at the Painted Pony.

Ordered and food delivered within 10 minutes, granted it was off hours, but we were pleased. My partner & I ordered some things to share. Buffalo wings were exceptional-crispy and a nice spice that had just the right amount of bite. Figgy Piggy with a burger. Insanely tasty. Burger cooked to perfection, fig jam gave it a nice sweetness, the bacon was really crispy, and the sourdough was perfect. Served with house made fries/chips that were a great accompaniment. Meatballs, where do I begin? First, we had to take them to go because we were already too full. 3 large meatballs in a cute cast iron skillet with a generous amount of marinara sauce and melted mozzarella. Served with 3 giant wedges of pizza to sop up that sauce or make a lil sandwich. Delicious, every last morsel. Highly recommend. Not a large menu which is refreshing and what they've chosen to serve is done with care from the kitchen. Cute bar area for cocktails too. Oh and the other great thing.... Kenny our server was a joy AND they have really nice and clean bathrooms.

Pizza was fine. Feedback from the wife was that the burger salad was "worse than Maggie McFly's"…read morewhich is a pretty strong statement for a semi upscale establishment. Service was below average. Either I messed up and ordered the wrong beer in the flight, or my server did. The sweet heat pizza did not come with onions as advertised, and was rung up as "adult pepperoni" with no disclosure of the change. Atmosphere was fine, but unlikely to return.

The menu looked pretty good so we started with some apps. Beer cheese- definitely a different twist than I expected but it was great. Very flavorful, really beer forward. The bruschetta was ridiculously amazing!! The cucumber salsa was missing something but ok, needed some acid or heat. My disappointment started when they brought out our meal, (we still had two apps to go, I hate my meal coming out with or before the rest of our apps. I had the hot honey chicken and NE Clam chowder. The chowder was brown and was not what I was looking for, I packaged up to go. It was primarily the brown I assume the roux went farther than it should have or there is something else in it.. The hot honey chicken was ok, the chicken was paper thin , tasted mostly arugula no heat, no sweet... I'd switch out the bread for a roll next time and douse it with hot sauce. The cottage fries are out of this world and I would come back for beverages and those!! My partner had the biria sandwich which was fire, also had a salad which was really good as well. The cookies are really amazing! Actual Dessert- I am struggling with we opted for the Chocolate cake which was literally melting- did not think it was ice cream so not sure why we had a puddle in a box when we got home. I want to try other things, as we had some good and some not so good, so we'll be back and update again after another try.

Our starter, Garlic Maple Whiskey Chicken Bites, came accompanied with grilled shishito peppers. Perfect for sharing and so lovely paired with a glass of prosecco. Next, we sampled Bouillabaisse and Miso Roasted Black Cod in dashi broth. Seafood for both mains were super fresh. The Bouillabaisse broth was remarkably flavorful, the hint of saffron ever present but not overwhelming.
