So I have frequented the Paleta bars in Abq numerous times over the last couple years and I love it so much! My go to is always the strawberry cheesecake paleta with white chocolate drizzle, graham cracker and Piñon toppings. However; today I decided to try the limited time viral Dubai chocolate strawberry dessert and it was absolutely exquisite! I ordered a small it was $14. It was pretty pricey but thedesert itself could have fed two or three people. It was so heavy lol but it was definitely worth it. I highly recommend everybody at least trying it once! It's a pistachio and white chocolate melted base that they layer with dark chocolate, white or milk chocolate, and then strawberries, and then another pistachio white chocolate base, chocolate and than more strawberries, all the way to the top and then they top it with crushed pistachios and some kind of other little crunchies!! I love Paleta Bar and had been to their many locations in ABQ. This location was no different. Their Paleta was still good and customer service was still great. I had a NM United Paleta (honestly had no idea what it was made of...but if I were to guess...it was a cream based..with some Oreo...and..some yellow color flavors (no idea what it would be) half dipped in dark cholate with pinons and peanuts and some fruits. It wasted wonderful as expected. The staff didn't skimp on the toppings, which were generous. Plus, you get 2 extra ojos (Choco wafer rolls) along with your Paleta as well. The price was slightly higher than their other locations (at $8.40)...but probably because it was inside a mall which costs a bit for retail and they compensated by giving extra ojos. Overall, I enjoyed it...and look forward to eating Paleta from Paleta Bar and trying some new flavors again! read more

Of course, once I'm there, I have to get one of their amazing agua frescas (fresh fruit drinks) like watermelon, cucumber lime, horchata... it's too hard to decide which one to choose so I end up mixing 2. They have the friendliest service (way to train your team members for success!) and the co-owners are serious business people who can be found doing anything: serving customers, ringing you up at the register, cleaning, dressing up as paletas, or handing out samples! The Paleta Bar did a good job with this location. It's like a mini version of the other two "bars". I ordered the pecan paleta with my usual choice peanuts and milk chocolate. This particular paleta was not my favorite. It wasn't as creamy as I hoped. Nevertheless, they have an array of desserts and snacks for everyone. The Paleta Bar is a wonderful add to Cottonwood Mall, but I doubt it was needed when the mall is saturated with other sweets in this same category. I was going to go to their other location until I saw that they were opening at the mall which is much closer to my house. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. They had a big line but it moves pretty fast (the cashier seemed to be super slow when I was there, but maybe she was new). There are a lot of options but the menu is super easy to figure out and they had some examples on display which were helpful too. I got a hazelnut pop dipped in milk chocolate with oreo crumbles on top and it was delicious and way more filling than I thought it would be actually. My kid got a vanilla one with milk chocolate and fruity pebbles on top. It wasn't my style of flavorings but alas it was my kids' choice and who am I to judge. It can be a little pricey if you get it full dipped with the toppings...almost $5...but I think it is worth the splurge for an ultra delicious and filling dessert. read more

My husband and I were leaving mini golf when we saw this place and thought we'd check it out. Back home we don't have anything like this (yet!) so it was new and interesting. Alex assisted us and walked us thru creating our own delicious desserts. I selected the Hazelnut Crunch bar with White Chocolate and fruity pebbles. I was AMAZING! The flavors complimented each other and were both fun and satisfying. My husband isn't picky which can sometimes be a bad thing at places like this. He knew he wanted the avocado bar but after that he didn't know. He asked Alex to pick for him and he chose dark chocolate with pecans. It was so tasty that I was only offered the tiniest bite to try since hubby wanted the whole thing (lol). All in all a great experience and I hope that one of these stores will open in SoCal!
