In the past I have been a regular customer at the Hurricane Café mostly for lunch. But since Palm Beach Gardens has grown in population so has the choices of restaurants one could visit. It was a surprise to me when I realized it had been over two years since we had dined at this restaurant. But I was quickly reminded why I enjoyed Hurricane Café very much in the past. What is find appealing is the traditional Floridian ambience along with their exceptional friendly staff and attentive to their customers. The dining room has a set aside bar area that has a wall separating itself from the dining room. We decided to take a table on the outdoor front patio. In my past visits, I have enjoyed their burgers, chicken, and salmon dishes. Today I chose their Pesto Grilled Chicken & Arugula Salad which was outstanding. The salad came with roasted peppers, feta, olives, in a lemon vinaigrette. I intend to become once again a regular at Hurricane Café. read more

There's not a more fitting cafe for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Juno. Beautiful location, with clean and bright decor, excellent service from knowledgeable and friendly staff, and delicious food time after time. We've dined here multiple times for breakfast and lunch and are always pleased. We are always so happy that I've ever asked our servers to surprise me with whatever their favorite is on the menu without telling me- and all of their recommendations thus far have been phenomenal and delicious. The staff is so friendly. We stopped for breakfast on a Monday at 7:30AM and it wasn't too busy at all. We had the Huevos rancheros and blueberry pancakes. The pancakes had the smaller blueberries which we love because they don't get soggy like the larger ones do. The rancheros was awesome, not too salty and bursting with flavor. It can fill you up for sure. We went back on Tue for a pickup order, salmon salad. It was ready in 10min, and the salmon was cooked to perfection, the greens were fresh and I really enjoyed the raspberry dressing. read more

I think this place is called hurricane because it's kind of like a storm...a shitstorm in a way. We ordered the hummus appetizer...it wasn't exactly hummus. The texture of hummus resembled liver pate. When we told the waitress that it wasn't normal, she said that's just how the kitchen has been serving lately. Sorry, that's just not acceptable. Our table ordered shrimp tacos, a turkey sandwich, and an omelette with multigrain toast. The 2 stars are because the shrimp tacos were the only thing that was good. The toast came out only toasted on one side. Again, when we mentioned it to the waitress she said it was because the toaster was turned off on one side. This was in the middle of lunch time so that just seemed very unusual. Overall, very disappointed in the food and the service. read more

Stopped by the cafe after reading Yelp reviews and enjoyed a nice lunch. The restaurant is clean and bright and the menu had lots to offer. Hubby ordered his usual cheeseburger and was happy with the seasoned waffle fries that came with. I ordered the Greek grilled chicken salad. The chicken was tender and the veges were fresh. Wait staff are friendly and food was served quickly. Wait staff sat nearby preparing silver and napkins and were quite chatty, which got pretty loud a few times...my only complaint...as we were hoping for a peaceful meal in a side seating area. Truly so sad to write this- there is ZERO structure/organization. We waited over 15 minutes to even be looked at for us to have to ask what the wait time is. There were empty tables outside that people were just seating themselves at, meanwhile a sign outside clearly states please see hostess to be seated. Finally we asked a waitress "hey we're going to sit outside" she said "well we don't have a hostess, you need to wait in line. And if there's an empty table do not sit down because the table needs to be cleaned." After waiting next to the dirty table no one acknowledged us nor came by to clear it. I wouldn't be this upset if we greeted, acknowledged or told "I'm so sorry for the wait will be right with you" Because of this we left and gladly gave our business to Juno Beach Cafe. read more

My family and I always frequent the restaurant when we are in town. Their breakfast service is always packed and a good value. Have only eaten dinner there once and I was pleasantly surprised. My son had a pot roast special that was very good as he cleaned his plate. read more

They look very understaffed. Took us way to long to get a seat with as many available tables as their was. Our waitress has too many tables and was stretched too thin. I order a vanilla Latte and it didn't have vanilla in it. As I started drinking it they brought out another latte even though I only ordered one. I thought maybe the 2nd was a the correct one. I was wrong both don't have flavor in them. Waitress apologized said I received someone else drink, then added vanilla to my drink. We were very hangry at this point and when we Got our food and my husband bacon, eggs, and hash browns were terrible. I felt like I was watching him eat tree bark because the bacon was so hard. His French toast was also over cooked. My blueberry pancakes were fine, they had some chocolate chips in them. Just sitting here and looking around the restaurant felt like you were just watching chaos. There were random bills laying on the floor, people getting up and hunting down their servers for bills. Should've just went to IHOP. The hash browns were soggy inside and dry outside, the eggs were bland, and the bacon was so burnt that I couldn't chew it. The French toast was fine. It took about five minutes for us to talk to someone once we walked inside. There was no wait, but it was all very slow. The food came out decently quickly though. The server was nice but stretched too thin. I think she had 5-6 tables instead of the normal 2-3. Wouldn't come back. I wish we would have bought bacon and eggs and a shaker bottle of pancake mix at the store and cooked ourselves breakfast. It would've been way cheaper and tasted better. read more

Also recommend their French Toast, Sunrise Breakfast Bowl, Huevos Rancheros, and Oatmeal (WITH the banana praline topping). Avoid: hash browns as they have no real flavor (get the home fries instead); bacon side (I know, I know, bacon is always delicious but they only give you 2 slices... why bother?); breakfast tacos, or if you must, opt out of the lettuce and tomato topping which does nothing for it. This is our new favorite breakfast spot. I can't believe we waited so long to try it. We came with a large party and the only snag was that we needed to all be present to be seated. Let's start with the drinks. Excellent green juice and coffee along with a mimosa made with actual champagne and high quality OJ that you mix yourself. They have great breakfast specials too -- a full breakfast under $6. We love the big fluffy buttermilk pancakes and the grits were surprisingly delicious. We also had fruit salad, bacon, French toast, bagel sandwich and hash browns that were TO DIE FOR. The service is always attentive and timely and friendly. There was some amazeballs flavor happening on that pear and gorgonzola salad with chicken, and a real comfort food vibe emanating from the crunchy grouper Rachel sandwich (who has sourdough/pumpernickel bread these days? Wow). Flatbread was perfectly fine. Pink lemonade was a delicious treat. Service wasn't superfast but was very good. Really an impressive surprise. I once went to Hurricane cafe a few years ago and once experienced my scrambled eggs had milk in them . At the time I asked the waitress confirming milk was present. Thank God I didn't need immediate medical attention and never went back because I was lactose intolerant. I was very upset because they never mentioned it to me prior to ordering eggs . Giving this 3.5 stars. New to the area and having just moved in with no food in the house, we decided to come stop in for breakfast. Got a couple of omelettes. The Mediterranean and ham and cheese. Got both with hash browns which were cooked perfectly. Omelettes were huge. They were good as well. Coffee was fresh - no complaints here. Like I said, a solid 3.5. One of the most uncomfortable, disappointing and altogether horrific dining experiences I have ever had. Maybe the worst. I was pretty excited to try this place out and have had it bookmarked for months. The good reviews led me to believe I would have a pleasant experience but the service was the WORST. Our server came by once and took our drink order and brought the drinks back, took our appetizer order and then literally disappeared for nearly 20 minutes. She had no insight on the menu, no suggestions whatsoever when asked. Our waitress FINALLY took our food order and then we waited for nearly 40 minutes while our table remained unbussed. The plates from the appetizer sat there while our server walked by and multiple people working there walked by, seemingly unfazed by the pile of plates stacked high on our table. We received our food at long last but at this point had asked to see the manager since we had been waiting for so long with no refills, tons of plates on the table and no waiter taking care of us. Our waitress said she would try to get the manager "when she could" which immediately struck me as strange. It was like it was conditional on us changing our minds to get the manager... a suspicion which later turned out to be confirmed. The manager never came, but our waitress was suddenly compelled to come over to our table multiple times guilt tripping us and telling us how bad she felt about the service. It was VERY awkward and uncomfortable. And honestly, there would have been no need for the guilt trip had she simply stopped by the table a few more times earlier on in the meal. The third time the waitress came back she yet again said she felt bad about the service. She then asked us if we still wanted to talk to the manager after all the guilt tripping. We said no, but that seemed to indicate she had never pulled him aside to tell him to come over to our table, because he walked by helping other tables. Truthfully, I have never experienced anything like this where the waiter clearly doesn't do what a customer kindly asked and it rubbed me very much the wrong way. The food was decent but not worth writing home about. The service, however, has left a terrible taste in my mouth. My 100th review of 2017, and what a lovely place to tell you about! The Hurricane Cafe, conveniently located right on Route 1 in Juno Beach, is truly a local gem. Let's start with the incredibly friendly and personable staff that greets you both at the door and at your table and, once you're seated, you'll have the caffeinated beverage of your choice in front of you in no time, helping to jump-start your morning. The décor is much nicer than most breakfast and lunch spots, with comfortable tables and lots of big windows. There are also two bar areas with additional seating, as well as a small covered seating area out-front. There are a lot of great choices on Hurricane Cafe's menu to go along with that morning coffee (or three), and for me this morning, it was the breakfast burrito. A breakfast burrito is one of those dishes that isn't as easy to get right as you might think, but this one was absolutely spot-on, filled with eggs, chorizo, cheddar, peppers, and onions. What really impressed me about the burrito was that it was prepared more like an omelet - rather than scrambling the eggs (which would invariably just fall out of the tortilla), the eggs came out nice and fluffy, with that perfect texture that one would indeed find in a well-prepared omelet, making for one of the best breakfast burritos I've had in a long time. Speaking of well-prepared omelets, one of my breakfast buddies ordered the western omelet, and I could tell as soon as it hit the table that the folks in the back of the house really know how to make an omelet. It had all the hallmarks of a well-made French omelet - fluffy, good height, not a speck of brown anywhere, perfectly folded. Of course, it's all in the taste, which definitely lived up to the beautiful mouth-watering appearance of the omelet. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention both the hash browns and breakfast potatoes. It still amazes me how many breakfast spots can't get potatoes right, but the folks in Hurricane's kitchen have it down pat -- crispy on the outside, cooked through on the inside, the perfect accompaniment to the eggs. Huzzah! We also had a cinnamon roll, and it comes to the table nice and warm, covered with that ooey-gooey cream cheese icing we all love. I have to say that I really liked the balance between the cinnamon and the sweet in this roll -- too many places way overdo the sugar in the icing, but this one's got just enough, letting the both the cream cheese and cinnamon flavors come through. One roll was enough for the three of us and goes nicely with a hot cup of their coffee. Our server Ann was absolutely wonderful, checking in frequently with us (but not overly so) to make sure we had everything we needed and that our coffee cups were filled to the brim. I can easily see why the Hurricane Cafe has been a Zagat-rated neighborhood favorite for so long, and I really wish we had a place like this back home in DC. They can get pretty busy on the weekends, so be sure to call ahead... or use your Yelp app to get onto the waiting list while you're on the drive over! read more

My husband and I have frequented the Hurricane Cafe many times and have generally had a good experience, until last week. We stopped by around 3:30 in the afternoon for lunch and sat outside. There was one other occupied table but slowly three other parties arrived. We eventually placed our order after asking for menus twice from two surly waitresses. We placed our order and waited for ALL three tables which arrived after us to be served. It took one hour to get our order. No apology was given except "There was a mix up in the kitchen" after we questioned what was going on. Were we invisable while the waitress served THREE other tables? After we asked about our order, the waitress said she would give us a dessert, which she did. She knew we were upset. There are too many other restaurants who respect their patrons. We'll go somewhere else from now on. read more
