We are visiting Santa Fe from Oklahoma. Tried Pantry Dos for breakfast & had such a nice experience. We came on a Saturday morning. As we pulled up, it looked pretty crowded, a few families waiting outside. I checked on the wait time for 3 & was told 20-25 minutes. We don't consider that an excessive wait time any time we go out. And being from out of town, it would've taken us at least that long to find another spot & probably would've had a wait at any other restaurant. There was plenty of space to wait in front of the restaurant, it was shaded and the weather was nice. I don't know how long we waited for a table, but it seemed to be less than quoted. Once seated, we were served drinks right away. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered blue corn cinnamon pancakes with a side of bacon. The bacon was cooked crisp, just how I like it. The pancakes were really good! Different from anything I've had before. My husband had chilaquiles, those were really good. And my son got a traditional breakfast. The menu said it came with fries, which were more what we called breakfast potatoes. That was a good thing! Those potatoes were so good! The restaurant looked to be well staffed, everyone working and taking care of customers. This is for sure a place I'd recommend and would return to on future visits to Santa Fe. read more

What a fantastic place! Traveling from Santa Fe to Albuquerque so did a search on Yelp for breakfast places. This restaurant show up with good reviews. And, they were right. Great combination of New Mexican food and normal breakfast fare. So many delicious things to choose from. Our waitress recommended the green chile Eggs Benedict or chilaquiles. I decided on chilaquiles and my sister had French toast with fried eggs and bacon. This was definitely the best chilaquiles I've ever had! The chips were tossed in a combination of the red and green chile, the eggs were cooked perfectly and the beans and potatoes were delicious!!! The French toast was good, pretty standard French toast. Service was fantastic, coffee and water refilled, very friendly waitress. There is also a full bar and counter seating. I sure wish they had one of these in San Diego! read more

Weird, disjointed service, we had a conga line of servers constantly interrupting us, I'm talking every 2 minutes a different server asking if thing are alright. And, things were just alright. Got the fish tacos. Obviously a frozen breaded filet plopped unceremoniously upon soggy white corn tortillas. Rice was dry, beans way too salty. Way overpriced for what it is. read more

Last meal before heading out of Santa Fe was at the Pantry Dos. I went with the chicken fried steak, smothered in country gravy packed with delicious sausage bits. The steak itself was tender and the batter was perfect. Pretty decent mashed potatoes and a sizable biscuit that was delicious. Has a diner vibe to the place. Food was great and came out quickly. I'm back, this place was really fantastic. I went with no expectations and really was a last minute pick. Being from TX Mexican food is either ok or good. It's rarely great. I hadn't eaten here in years and absolutely not at this newer location. I was really looking forward to my stuffed sopaipilla but it left me somewhat disappointed. Ordered a ground beef Xmas style stuffed sopa and it was very dry, almost as if they left it in the oven too long. Beans were also dry and not much flavor. Chips, guacamole, salsa, and queso were good. Sopaipillas were huge and good but my friend's was super greasy. Service could've also been better but they were fairly busy. We visited here last year, to rave reviews. Unfortunately, we were misled last year, and told that the beans were vegetarian. This year, we were told they had ham in them. Why places need to add meat to beans never makes sense. I only received one egg and one corn tortilla with my Huervos rancheros. That's pretty cheap. I didn't get much for my money. WoW !! We're traveling through United States but we're from San Diego so we know good Mexican food. THIS place is the best Mexican food I've ever had. Their salsa is soooo flavorful. We came in about 2 & was seated right away. The service were so sweet because I kept asking for stuff. The salsa was spicy to me so I had to drink milk. ‍ But I kept eating it and my breakfast burrito. My mouth was burning but I did NOT care. I than asked for some sour cream to put on my burrito. This is my first time eating at this location (the original once, decades ago). Came with a group of 16, the Santa Fe Foodies. It was a big group, challenging for the waitstaff and kitchen, but both did a great job. The food was good; I think they specialize in breakfast, so I need to come back and try those items. The New Mexican food ordered was good but not earth-shattering. I had the Santa Fe Brisket plate. The brisket was moist and tender, and the chile (Christmas) was fine. Nice fresh vegetables came on the side, as did decent mashed potatoes. My wife had the crispy fish taco, and I think this plate was the better of the two. The crispy fish was lovely and plentiful. Beans and rice were not memorable, but certainly more than acceptable. We sat in their patio area, which was very comfortable. I tried a piece that was nice and very smooth, but I'd have liked a bit more lime flavor. It was definitely homemade, and while not the best key lime pie I've had, it was pretty solid. But the Apple pie was to die for. Exceptional! Service was outstanding! I like this location; it is easy to find, park, modern, clean and has WiFi. We will go back for breakfast. read more

The line at the original Pantry was really long, so we drove the 13 minutes to Pantry Dos....good move on our part. We got in within 10 minutes and enjoyed a terrific meal. My hubby had the Rueben sandwich with the best fries. It seems like they are double fried, hot, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Yummy. I had the salmon tacos, which was chunks of salmon lightly seasoned with in flavorful corn tortillas. There was a topping of a gauc-type of sauce, but nothing with mayo, which tends to happen with fish tacos. The portion was large and I took half home for another meal. read more
