So this was my first attempt looking for a new hairstylist after my previous hairstylist passed away. I had gone to him for 16 years and I was determined to find my new stylist and hopefully my last! After reading the reviews at this salon, I met with Lety today without knowing what I would be getting myself into. All I can say is that hands-down I felt right at home. Lety is so nice and professional. I wanted a change but not too dramatic and something that wouldn't damage my hair as much. We discussed ideas and we both agree I want to go lighter but it's a process. So baby steps to going lighter. She took her time to understand what I had in mind. I felt like I was talking to my friend the entire time. I'm looking forward to keep going more lighter. The salon was nice and I liked the decor. Came here after seeing many good reviews and sadly wasn't impressed. Was charged 120 for what was said to be toner during my consultation. Came in with light brown/dark blonde balayage and left with my hair basically black which is absolutely not what I had asked for at all. Girl with pink hair was cursing quite a bit in front of clients. Just didn't think that was professional. Won't be coming back. read more

She had an awesome personality & was very professional, I showed her a couple of photos of what I wanted and told her I wasn't picky. The end result was awesome! She cut my hair exactly as I wanted & even thinned out my hair a bit because I have insanely thick hair. She has a great energy about her and awesome Talent, I will definitely be returning. I found Carmen at My Parlor searching online for someone new to do my hair. I had used the same person for a long time and was feeling like I was looking a little matronly. I had been trying here and there but without success until I found Carmen. I am a young 60ish and thought maybe someone young could bring something different to my short cut. Carmen seemed to know just what it needed and she did a great job on my color too. I am sensitive to ammonia and needed to find someone who could color my hair without it and have it still hold the color. She is super accommodating. Her fees are very reasonable and she is a sweetie, fun and lively. She can do long or short and probably any color under the rainbow if you needed. I'm glad I found her! KH read more

Went to this salon for the first time based on winning a raffle basket of hair products from a charity auction I attended. I had my first color appointment with Carmen and she did an incredible job! My hair was a faded Feria red with lots of roots and I wanted a brighter, livelier red. She recommended doing a bleach wash & then putting putting in the color. It came out beautiful! The Parlor is AMAZING! They're sweet, fun and I Always get compliments after I've been there. I've had everything from a pixie cut to an anime cut to pink, orange, and green hair, all the way back to a natural color. It's so good that people think dirty blonde is my natural hair color (it isn't). After all the colors my hair still looks and always feels great and healthy thanks to Lety and her team. Kayla is amazing and she definitely perfected my hair and did exactly what i wanted. You can tell right away she knows what she is doing and has studied hair colors to make sure no color mishaps occur. No one has ever been able to give me the color i wanted until today when she was able to turn my yellow blonde to the perfect tint of blonde ive been dying to achieve. I had come in for dark ash blonde on my warm brown hair. Letty was incredibly informative about the process as well as asking me questions about my hair history. She gave me the best suggestion which also wasn't expensive. In the past I've had salons make me feel like my hair was too thick to work with but Parlor on Main made me feel confident in my hair texture. I had informed them I was vegan and they recommended vegan hair products for the future! I definitely will come back. My hair feels smooth and soft. The actual salon itself is very bright airy and cozy. The other stylists were very sweet and open. I never feel comfortable in salons as if I'm not cool enough but there I felt like I was genuinely wanted. read more

I love this salon ! Me and my twin sister have been coming to Lety now since she was at the Carlton Salon in the Valencia towncenter mall. Ever since then I only trust her with my hair. Carmen always does my haircut, and always kills it. Short hair can be tricky to execute, especially on my oddly shaped round head, but she always keeps it perfect. After getting my haircut done a few times, I had my color done and Carmen didn't disappoint there either. It's a great environment, everyone is really nice and talented, they have delicious cookies, and for the amazing work they all do it's INCREDIBLY priced!
