This place was pretty great! I got the Diablo shrimp based on other Yelp reviews and YIKES! It was spiiiiicy, or maybe I'm just a weenie. If you can handle the heat, I definitely recommend, but it was too spicy for me. The rest of the food was great as well! Not pictured was the Mac and Cheese and it was sooooo ooey gooey good! I almost do not want to tell, but this place is awesome to watch the football games and get a really awesome Bloody Mary. The food is delicious and the drink specials are great on weekends until 2 pm. We had a lot of fun with a party of six for Sunday morning football. Two chardonnay's and two whiskey's later the bill $75?! I asked our not so friendly server if the drinks should be comped since we lost money and she took off $40 but I have to say it was still a super pricey visit. My brother and I come to the Parlor at least once a week for breakfast. We typically visit on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. That's because those are the days our favorite server, Ms. Christa, is working. She's dynamite. Great service, very friendly, and extremely funny. This place had great reviews, but I was suspect when we walked in and the place was empty...not disappointed though. The food, like the service was great!!! The mimosa was made with fresh OJ and our food came our fast, and made our tastebuds very happy! I like the ambience inside, plenty of TVs to watch your games, but not so loud that it disrupts your dining if you are there just to eat. We had no problems having a conversation. The Parlor has been on my list because of the great reviews from fellow Yelpers. It's a solid 4.5+! We went on the Friday night before Christmas and it was busy but not too crowed and we we were seated immediately. The food was really good! Definitely a higher quality and taste than all of the "sports/gaming" bar restaurants around town. We ordered the pastrami sandwich with tater tots (4.5), Fridays only clam chowder (5), Sweet Chili Pacific sauce wings (5+) and fries (5+). Great flavors all around for each dish, and especially the wings and hot potatoes! Wow. All of it came out hot and fresh. Kudos to the chefs and kitchen staff for sending out fantastic food. Service from Rae was also very friendly and helpful. She gave us great advice as it was our first time there. She really loves the food there too! It's a nice and comfortable setting. What a great find. We stopped in for our date night and had a great time. Its a great environment, a mix of high top tables and lounge area and slot machines at the bar. The food was excellent, my husband was impressed with the fish and chips, said the fish was cooked and breaded perfectly and he loved the sriracha tartar sauce. The burger was done really well, can't go wrong with bacon cheese & onion rings! We also really enjoyed the flavor of the wings from our appetizer. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful while deciding - she even let us know about their happy hour and grabbed orders even though we arrived 5 minutes before it was over. How come I never knew about this place? After buying a car down the street at Dolan Lexus, it was late on a Sunday night and searched Yelp for places to get a burger. Everything was about to close but The Parlor was open 24 hours. We decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. As expected, due to the hour, it wasn't too busy. A center bar with slots awaits as you enter. Ahhh, hence the reason being open 24 hours. Our server was amazing. My family and I went on Saturday morning for breakfast. The food was excellent and the price was very reasonable. There was no wait and they had a huge corner booth for our party of 5 adults and two kids. They even have a kids menu with lunch and dinner options. The kids both ordered a French toast breakfast sandwich off the brunch menu with everything on the side making it a huge French toast breakfast platter. Not sure the Parlor is on our list for a second visit. Place didnt change much from the last place as far as appearance goes. It still has that cheesy sunk in bar with slots in the bar and a lounge area on one side that seems out of place. Wait staff stands around cracking jokes, telling stories and laughing really loud the whole time. Very unprofessional. Granted, they were attentive and very polite. But if they have that much time to tell stories maybe they are over staffed. The giant ribeye we shared was good but not great. I feel like it should be aged a bit, or maybe soaked in a wine reduction. At over $40 it should be more than just big. I fear this place wont last any longer than the last place did. Stopped by for a late lunch while out and about running errands with the fam. I was very happy they were open since we stopped by at an odd afternoon hour on a random weekday! We were greeted upon entry and chose a table in the back by a window. This gave us a good view of the restaurant but we were far enough away from the bar area. The noise level was about as expected but not distracting. For my meal, I went with the salmon, roasted vegetables, and risotto plate. The flavor was very good, but a tad oily. Salmon on its own is pretty oily, but it tasted like a lot of oil was used on the grill to stop food from sticking. I had this same thought with the risotto and veggies; both were good but also a bit oily. My husband had a steak and his meal was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Service was very friendly and attentive. I likely wouldn't get the salmon again, but I'll be back to try other menu options. read more

I like to try new restaurants. Today felt like a salad kind of night because I slammed a jamocha shake from Arby'sin Fernley to keep myself awake while navigating the Truckee River Canyon into Reno. I saw a picture of the beet salad and decided this was the place. I was not disappointed. It's not super busy, but the server Krista had a lot of tables. The LARGEST bone in ribeye I've ever eaten... 29 oz!?!?! Not $120 (Ruth's Chris), not $95 (Atlantic), not $68 (Biminis) but for $40!?!?!! Open 24/7?!?! Read on... So, I've decided to tour Reno's steakhouses and this week brought me to The Parlor. I didn't really read many reviews... just saw the rating and pictures of The Cowboy so I decided to stop here and boy I've got mixed feelings about this. LOL I was expecting more of a restaurant but found a tidy and casual sports bar hiding some really great food. I walked in early afternoon and had a table. I was lucky because this place is small with first come first served limited seating and was pretty much full by 4:30 pm. I can imagine it being impossible to eat here on a weekend or during dinner hours but luckily they're open 24 hours. So I ordered The Cowboy Ribeye medium rare. It came with a salad, which I told the waitress that I wasn't fond of rabbit food and wanted blue cheese dressing. When it arrived it was a very nice spring mix and was much better than I had expected. I finished it easily. Very well prepared. A little while later the plate arrived... I was shocked. This is the largest ribeye I've ever seen on a plate. It was char cooked and to perfect temp... came with some veggies and a nice serving of mash and two very beer tasting battered onion rings over sautéed mushrooms and onions over the meat. It was a good cut cooked well,, my only nitpick is I'd prefer it Pan seared. I ate till I was full and then some, which I very painfully realized later when I laid down and tried to sleep. It was really good. Even though I give this 5 stars I can't say I really crave this, I can't for the life of me find any fault here except the pain I felt later.... for nearly 6 hours. What I did find was an amazing and impressive steak that should have cost twice as much as I paid. I will come back here to try the Crazy Mac n Cheese, which changes weekly, but probably not before trying a few other places. Yes, you should visit this establishment. Welcome to the Parlor. This is my first time checking this place out and I must say, it's a great vibe. The lighting, very much giving a dim mood with natural lighting coming from one large open window to the left. They have a few different options for seating which I enjoy. One section, for watching sports games solo or with others, while in the center utilizing a round bar top, with casino computer gaming machines, serviced with a full bar. The other side, having 4 booth seating areas and different variations of high top tables catering to different group sizes. One additional item I enjoy in a lot of dinning establishments is when they provide a self service jukebox, and to my excitement they have one. If you have never used one or seen one before it is one that you download an app on your phone and you're able to play music that you enjoy. Music is played in rotation with others who chooses their favorite tunes, playing for everyone to enjoy. We started off with two double patron margaritas. The waitress took our drink orders very quickly, and we didn't wait much time for them to arrive at our table. When I say the margaritas were giving what they should give, I mean it! You can taste the double shots, unlike other places when you ask for a double shot it still taste like there is no alcohol in it. For food, we did all appetizers. We ordered the fried zucchini sticks, buffalo chicken wings without fries, nachos substituting chicken, or beef for the steak, a petite caesar salad with no cherry tomatoes, and a house salad with ranch. Starting off I must say, all the food came out quickly and all at the same time we didn't have to wait for anything. When our nachos came out the waiter automatically noticed that the nachos had sour cream on them, which we did not want. She instantly took them back to make a fresh order which we didn't have to ask for. I greatly appreciated that because any other time usually I would have to tell the waiter that something is wrong with my order, in this case she was on it and already seen it. The fried zucchini sticks I give a 10 out of 10. The proportion size was amazing. They were crispy and the marinara sauce that came with them was delicious. I give the chicken wings an 8 out of 10. The flavor was good and had the perfect amount of sauce on them. They could have been a little more crispy. The nachos were really really good and I give them a 10 out of 10. Not once did they ever get soggy. I give the petite Caesar salad a 10 out of 10. A little background on me is I absolutely love Cesar salad. It is my all-time favorite. This Caesar salad really hit the spot. The waiter told me that the Cesar was in house made which was another plus. There was the perfect amount of dressing on it and Parmesan cheese. I didn't have to ask for extra dressing which I always have to do at other places. My wife, really enjoyed the house salad with ranch dressing that she paired with it. The ranch is also made in house made. Overall, I give this place an 4 out of 5 rating. I will have to make a trip back and try other items to give my full rating score. Oh and the service is top tier. The waiters were attentive and on top of everything they never missed a beat. From what I have tried so far and experienced I am really amazed, happy and full. I would recommend this place for a spot to come chow down if your in the Reno area! Side note: I am really in love with the napkins that they provide with the silverware. They are not your typical napkins. These napkins really withhold what you put them through. I am usually asking for more napkins all the time, but in this case I only needed one. I locked myself out of the office at & on a Sunday night with my wallet and the dog inside - called the management company and it was going to be 2 hours. Happened to have a rental car and luckily had that key on me and some cash - went to this place. Food was good - not wondering where their Michelin star is but good - had a few beers - gambled a few bucks and when I went to settle up with the lady she said it's all handled (don't expect free food every time but this time it was). Stopped in for lunch for the first time today. I'd heard good things about this place and was excited to try it. The Parlor replaced the Hard Water House. It looks pretty much the same inside but it is no a non smoking establishment so no more cigar smoke which is wonderful. We had really great service and they have a very nice and varied menu. Reasonable prices and because they are open 24 hours, you can also get breakfast any time. We started with the French onion soup and then we had the sliders and the taquitos. Everything was excellent! Fresh food and came out nice and hot. This is a great addition to South Reno. I will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items. read more

I had the Coconut Shrimp as my entree (it's an appetizer). It was probably the best Coconut Shrimp I have ever had! Large, crispy and delicious! My daughter had the BBQ Brisket Sandwich with Coleslaw on the side. It was on a Pretzel bun, with was nice and soft. The Brisket was really good with a scrumptious bbq sauce and pickled red onions!
