Grandpa brought me here for breakfast this morning as grandma was having bible study at her house. The interior was small but nice with scattered decorations that mostly had a flower theming, clean wooden floors, and flower tale cloth with glass across the top. Lots of white as well with white wall paint and the table cloth being white with the flowers, white lights and lamps too. We were sat down nice and quick then we had our order taken within just a few minutes. It took quite a while for our food to arrive, but the place was packed this morning so I can't hold it against them. I ordered the Breakfast Croissant with Bacon and Hashbrowns. The Hashbrowns were very average. Very plain in taste and texture. The Croissant sandwich pretty good. The bacon was pretty hard and tough, but the croissant was good, the egg was well prepared, and the cheese was good. Overall, not bad. The decor is comfortable and the food is good enough. Not too much to complain about here. Definitely a fine enough place to sit down and enjoy some breakfast. read more

This was my first time here and I'm so glad I finally made the trip! I went to the Cup Cafe Too, by the Atlantis, not the one further South It has such a cute cozy atmosphere. I sat at the bar and had very prompt attentive service. I ordered the Tuscan Scramble with their home potatoes, and opted for a biscuit at the recommendation of my server (who I believe was also the owner or manager). Everything was flavorful and good sized portions. I left with half of it to enjoy later. They are only open for breakfast and lunch so be sure to put it on your list of brunch spots. I drive past this place daily and finally convinced my wife to try it. We try to eat at non-chain restaurants. We kept our expectations low which was good because it was a letdown. The service was poor. We repeatedly had to ask for refills and the staff never checked on us after taking our order. It felt like they moved on to the next table. After we finished,we asked for the bill several times and it never arrived. We had to stand at the entrance to get their attention. At that point tipping felt optional. The food itself was fine. The dining area is small and narrow not suitable for groups larger than five. This will probably be our first and last visit. read more

Located in the Reno town Mall strip mall. Such a cute place, it has a Cozy atmosphere. It was busy for a Tuesday morning but we were seated right away. They have a really good cup of coffee. I got the steak and eggs, it was good. But my favorite thing was their pumpkin pancakes! They were delicious! I will be ordering that again:) Husband tried the Mexican scramble, he cleaned his plate! I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The Cup Café offers impeccable service and consistently delivers fresh, delicious food. My personal favorite is the Benedict: perfectly poached eggs and just the right seasoning every time. While I didn't get a cup of coffee this visit, in the past it's always been fresh, and the staff never lets my drink get too low before offering a refill. They now have two locations, and I visited their newest spot at Reno Town Mall. When I think about breakfast, I'd like to think about this place. The kid and I decided to have breakfast here yesterday. We haven't been to their new location at the Old Town Mall since they opened. We walked in and the place looked busy. We were seated quickly and given menus. The kid had the pancakes and sausage off the kids menu. I got the chicken fried steak with eggs and hash browns. It also came with a side of biscuits and gravy! My kid loved the pancakes. I thought they smelled good. They smelled like cake. He ate all of the sausage too. My chicken fried steak was seasoned good. There was a good amount of food. I couldn't finish it all but I tried. Even though the place was busy, our waitress Kelly, was on top of it. The service was great. They might need another waiter/ waitress to help her. Seemed like she was the only one working but she had it covered. I can see why they opened a second location. We were shopping at Burlington, and saw The Cup and decided to pop in - the place is hidden away and I never knew it was there! The ambiance is homey, and very "family friendly". Every table and booth was filled and the place was hopping. There were only open til 2pm and it was 1:00 so we sat at the counter, and ordered breakfast. We were served quickly, the food was excellent. $25 for breakfast is steep. I had breakfast and tea and with tip $25. I'll need to stop in for lunch one day soon, I had the garden benedict and it was delicious. Very large portion and I'd definitely have that again. The scramble was small in portion and just okay. We have gone to both locations for years. The one at Town Mall is not staffed. They continue to fill up all their tables and there's never enough staff to wait on people. Last couple times we waited 20 + minutes and felt rushed to eat and leave. Food is great after you get it 35 minutes later. read more

Popped in for a late breakfast on a weekend day. We sat at the bar and ordered our meals from very pleasant and accommodating staff. I asked for my bacon limp. Well the Limp bacon was fairly crispy. Pancakes must've sat a few minutes as they were a bit on the colder side than hot but still had good taste. Eggs over medium cooked perfectly. This is the biggest thing I appreciate. We happen to drive by the newest location and decided to have breakfast. The decor is so adorable!!! We were greeted right away, but it was peak time, so we had to wait about 30 minutes. Not too bad... I had a Mimosa and the Bacon Avocado Benedict, served with Breakfast Potatoes. Let me start by saying I've been here twice in the last three days once for lunch and once for breakfast and both were exceptional. On Wednesday, I drop by for lunch with a friend and had their club sandwich with their homemade potato salad. The sandwich was stuffed to the rims with turkey and bacon and ham and lettuce and tomatoes, and was absolutely wonderful as was their homemade potato salad. Saturday I stopped in with a friend for breakfast and had their sausage patty two eggs over easy and they're cottage fries again, everything was great. The sausage was done crispy around the edges. The eggs were cooked at Perfection and the cottage potatoes mixed with bell peppers and onion were yummy. Servers are friendly unhelpful not intrusive, but they seem to know just when you need them. The restaurant itself is quite quaint and cute inside with Lacey curtains and decor that remind you of a cottage or your favorite bed-and-breakfast. Five stars for breakfast and lunch and this will be on our new list of favorite places to eat read more

Very good with crispy corn tortillas, eggs, beans and a nice Spanish sauce. Also served with sour cream and salsa. My guest had Bacon and eggs, which were very good. Bacon is decent and crispy. Side of mixed fruit available in place of potato's. Slight up charge. The menu is very good, nice selections. Soup of the day is also available. I was delighted to discover The Cup Cafe now has a second location next to Burlingtons. Easy parking, same attention to the charming details inside and very open and clean. We can always suggest our preferences, e.g., no mayo on sandwich, but always a delight when they actually deliver on your specific choices. Staff are efficient and pleasant, helpful and patient. Our sandwiches were a delight, came as ordered and large portions. The side of fruit was amazing. Every possible fruit came in their little side, pineapple, strawberries, melon, kiwi, orange, grape and blueberries. Lovely. As I was leaving and walking the length of the restaurant, all I could do was look at all the wonderful meals others had ordered and were enjoying. I saw a table/booth that would seat 8 and a number of tables down the center of the restaurant that could be combined. I liked that this place felt more spacious and was more quiet (at least for the time being until people start to flock to this location). I especially love that the parking is ample here (unlike the first location). This would be a great breakfast spot for those staying at the casino because it is within walking distance. The food is pretty good and the prices are fair (hence the 4/5- it would be a 5/5 if either the food was exceptional and/or the prices were spectacular). Just a tip: If you prefer crispy potatoes, their home fries are not the crispy deep fried kind. The hash browns may be more to your liking if you prefer crispy, but you may have to order to your tastes (e.g. "extra crispy, please"). read more

I was also turned off by the clothing and all of the cleavage that was showing. I'm sure some customers enjoy that type of attire, but not everyone does. All in all not good.
