I ordered the beef birria tacos with consomme, chicken tinga tacos (also comes with consomme), house made hot sauce, and guacamaya sauce. Everything was packaged well. Where do I begin with this place! Okay, so at work we order lunch often during celebrations, achievements, basically any reason to spend the company's money! Lol. Well , within a few seconds I ate all three and was very much upset I didn't have more ! Well, in order to remedy that issue : at the end of the day I told my husband, I'm buying dinner :) I took to my lovely google and found the website and ordered two orders of the vegan tacos (Yes I was being greedy but it's warranted) and chips with guacamole! I happily drove and picked up my order. The place is near quite a few auto repair business and it's very easily to miss if not following a gps because it's a ghost kitchen. Entering inside was pretty dark, beyond mirrors on one side of the wall I'm not even sure how it looked like as I had tunnel vision for those tacos! I grabbed the tacos and speed home. Such a hidden gem! I haven't tried a single thing from this menu that isn't incredible. The chips are well seasoned and tasty. Partnered with their white queso, you'll be hooked. I've also had their birria quesadilla more than once and it's always delicious! The Mac and cheese was a surprise item considering the Mexican theme of the menu, but it's very well done: great use of cavatappi pasta which are perfectly cooked, coated in a delicious cheese sauce, and topped with the perfect crunch of bread crumbs. For a sweet treat, the bread pudding is good. I found it very dense, but the anglaise served with it is wonderful. Today I was really craving birria tacos so my husband and I came here in hopes that TPPC would blow our minds. The food was absolutely beautiful and looked incredible but didn't deliver on the "MMMM" factor I was looking for. The tacos were good as-is but were only REALLY good when I added pickled onions/jalapeños for much needed brightness. (.50 additional for either) The wings were very so-so and basic. I'm so glad these guys finally got a Yelp page! I've been wanting to post my original review for the longest time. I first met them during Tasty Takeover on (Robinson St). Their menu looked promising and full of flavor. The first time I ordered I got: the "Spanglish Burger" and some wings. Everything was to die for but, I was blown away by how amazing that burger was. Definitely 5/5! We had a little hiccup with our order because they forgot to write on the description that the burger has bacon. I felt so bad asking them to change it, because it looked so bomb, but I definitely wanted to eat it and the bacon had to go for religious/dietary reasons. Will and I believe (Andrew) is the other guy runs the truck were soo apologetics about the issue and sooo accommodating that the food came out soo fast and even more perfect that before! To apologize they gave me some of their chicken empanadas and OMGGG they were amazing too! -The "Spanglish Burger" comes with lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, potato chip sticks and amazing pimento cheese! The cheese gave the burger a totally different kick! But their ingredients are just so fresh that it makes the burger taste clean and crunchy. It also could be that they add something similar to like a thousand island dressing to the burger. The burger comes with friends, and they taste like garlic parm. I want to know their secret to keeping those fries soo crispy and far from soggy even when they are cold! The second time I saw them it was also at Tasty Takeover. Once I saw their truck is was over for the other trucks because it was a no brainer and I knew I had to eat from their menu. To my surprise their menu had a few new items that sounded amazing!! And I decided to try those: -Stake Frito Bowl: 4.5/5. The bases of the bowl are rice and refried beans, topped with steak, some pickled red onions, avocado, garlic mojo sauce, jalapeños, diced tomatoes, cilantro and cheese. The only reason why I didn't give it a full 5 is because of the taste of the rice (if you ate it on its own). It had a little bit of an oily aftertaste and I think it also had too much saffron. However, if you ate the rice combined with the rest of the bowl it became a flavor explosion in your mouth! The stake was cooked perfectly and that alone is 5/5 for sure! -Shrimp Ceviche and Plantains: 5/5. The dish is plated soo cute and they are the perfect bite size! It comes with 4 little mashed/shaped shot cups made out of plantains to hold in the shrimp ceviche. The plantain is fried. But the freshness and tangyness from the ceviche brakes away that fried feeling. The shrimp ceviche was a little spicy and I loved it! Their leche de tigre (the line juice and spices that marinate the shrimp) is sooo flavorful that I wanted to drink a cup full of it. The plantain and shrimp are topped with pickled red onions, jalapeños and fancy blood oranges! When I saw the blood orange on top of it, I knew I had fell in love with this food truck! For both of the items they give a side of their garlic eoli and honestly I have no idea what secret ingredient they put in it because I wanted to keep dip anything and everything in it! I mean these guys definitely paid attention to their Latina mom's cooking because everything in their menu screams home flavors with a modern and elevated twist!
