I found her stellar reviews here on Yelp and contacted her right away to see if you she could take care of the arrangements for my mom's funeral services in early February. Unfortunately she wasn't available to do so, but Helena took the time to talk to me and familiarize me with everything I needed to know about ordering flowers. She understood how difficult it was for me and made herself available anytime I needed help. Helena referred me to another business owner that she trusts and I was very happy with how everything turned out. It's an understatement to say that Helena is patient and kind. I walked in at 5:18pm yesterday and ask florist Helena can she arrange some flowers asap i need to bring it with me right away, is for my massage therapist birthday. Helena promised me she will do a good job make it beautiful even though she just stepped in her shop like 15 seconds ago from a delivery. She didn't even have time to catch her breath but she already starting to pick some flowers and greens and cut it arrange it into a vase. The flowers arrangement come out perfectly (with a green wrapping tissue and a pink bow) in 15 minutes and i bring this surprise to my masage therapist office before 6pm their closing time. This woman is amazing. Hubby badly needed a car wash, as we needed to pick up my mother the next day. We were in the area, grabbed a car wash, and I noticed this small store. I didn't know there was a florist in the car wash place! Anyways, we walked in, and was immediately greeted by Helena, who seemed to be busily working on another project. She has a great personality, and was very helpful with any questions we asked. Hubby decided to get a bouquet of flowers for his mom, and a bouquet of flowers for myself, as the anniversary bouquet he had bought last week from a different florist was already dying. Once we gave Helena a price range and the colors that we wanted in the bouquets, she completely set off to work on them. The face of concentration she had showed that she was putting in her heart and soul into her creations, and it definitely showed in the final product! As we needed two bouquets, though, it did take some time (perhaps around 30 or 35 minutes?), and the car wash people had already parked his car to the side by the time we got out. But the two bouquets were absolutely gorgeous! It was everything we wanted and more. Mine had lilies (our favorite flower!), baby's breath, and a few purple and pink flowers (I forgot their names... :( ). His mother's bouquet consisted of some interesting evergreen sprigs, orange/yellow roses, and a huge assortment of other orange/yellow flowers to reflect the autumn season. Everything meshed together extremely well. For the beauty and how on point the bouquets were, prices are fair. Both bouquets came to $40 each plus tax. Will likely be back, but this time only for the flowers and not the car wash! read more

Probably one of the greatest customer service and care for the customer I have experienced. I called in a short while ago with a last minute request for some same-day funeral flowers. Helena kindly told me that with it being Mother's day the next day and a lot of proms the day-of, they would have a hard time doing a rush job for a new arrangement in 2 hours time. However, after talking to her a little more, she refused to let me go empty-handed and promised me that if I was unable to find a different shop to fulfill my needs, I could call her back and she would drop everything to get me an arrangement in time for the funeral. Although I was able to find another flower shop in time, her determination to make sure my "needs were met" and providing me a safety net on such a difficult day speaks volumes to her character and the type of business she runs. Giving flowers expresses many things but for me it begins with a generosity of heart and openness of spirit. This could not have been truer when I got flowers from Passionate Florist. I couldn't be there for the passing of a much-beloved aunt 3,000 miles away. Flowers were the next best thing I could think of expressing my grief and sympathy to our family there. I called Passionate Florist on a Sunday and got an answering machine (this, after trying 3 other highly-rated florists who deliver in Covina area who similarly but understandably did not answer the phone on a Sunday). Helena, the Passionate Florist herself, called me back 30 minutes later and proceeded to ask me about my aunt, what I want to express with the flowers, how I want it to look, what's my budget. She can take what you have in mind, how you feel, what you want to say, and create something amazing. She asked my opinion on colors and types of flowers, all while advising me on what's appropriate for the occasion, what flowers would stay fresh longer. She worried about the flowers lasting from the funeral home viewing to the cemetery, 4 days in all. She even sent me photos of different baskets to hold the flowers when she got to the basket store (I'm guessing that's where she was). In the end, my basket of flowers was a work of art, truly a gift from the heart and I was so grateful. My only regret is that I didn't see it in person. Helena is so wonderful to deal with.
