The owner is the designer and she does amazing work! Not your typical florist. No shop to visit. Best to call and let Helena (owner) know what you want and your price point. She'll work with you within reason. Wanted an early Mother's Day lower arrangement for my mom since I'm visiting from out of town and wanted to see the arrangement and the look on my mom's face when she gets it. Ordered it to be delivered on Friday. Got a call late Friday and found there was a mix up (because the greeting was for Mother's Day they thought it's to be delivered on Sunday). Helena quickly rectified and had it delivered Saturday morning. Arrangement was beautiful...made up for the mix up. Try her out! read more

I have made flower orders by phone with many flower shops in my life. But my call to The Passionate Florist was different. I called to order a full arrangement of carnations for my sister's birthday, because my sister loves carnations. I didn't have a huge list of requests - just that it be all or mostly carnations, in a cardboard box base (cylinder or cube), and that there be less use of fillers. She didn't just listen to my request; she dived in and went into detail with me about colors, style, ideas she had in mind, etc. Talk about "passionate" and thorough! She also explained how carnations generally look and the need for depth and color variation. She really cared about what she was making for her customer. She even called me at some point before the actual delivery day to tell me some more thoughts she came up with and to make sure that sounded good to me. In the end, I was thoroughly impressed with the arrangement. It was everything I imagined plus more. My sister is extremely picky when it comes to flowers, but she was so thrilled and told me it was perfect. I highly recommend and will be ordering from them again! Great experience ordering flowers from this local shop. I ordered a "get well soon" bouquet over the phone. I placed the order at 11 am and it was delivered by 5 pm. Helena was pleasant and asked what kind of flowers I wanted but since all of her bouquets on Yelp look gorgeous, I told her that I would leave it up to the professionals. Needless to say, it was gorgeous and the recipient was super happy. P.s. I have ordered from 1800 flowers online before and the flowers they sent were cheap and didn't look anything like the one that was advertised so I recommend ordering directly from a local shop like the Passionate Florist and letting the florist do her magic. Not sure why Yelp shows the florist as closed, but it's indeed OPEN! It is by appointment/phone orders only. I live out of state and wanted to send my mom flowers for her birthday. I decided to give Helena a try after seeing great recommendations from the local FB group (she was unaware of all the positive reviews about her work). I knew I made the right decision after discussing and sending photos for inspiration. She was so friendly, professional and patient with my questions and concerns. The day of delivery coincided with a major storm in SoCal that she decided to personally deliver the arrangement to ensure a timely delivery. My mom was blown away with the gorgeous flowers and said she's never received a more beautiful arrangement. We wanted to order birthday flowers for our bestie as a surprise. I told Helena we want something dreamy. Lol sure enough, she did a wonderful job. Our friend burst into tears the moment she got it and absolutely loved it. I enjoyed talking to Helena. She is passionate about her design, she spent almost an hour with me to discuss. She is a perfectionist and extremely detail oriented. She sent me pictures and we changed the ribbon color to brighten up the arrangement the last minute. I really wanted to support a local business as I know the pandemic had put a lot of financial burden on many of us... and I'm so glad that my cohort and I chose The Passionate Florist to give these "Thank You " flowers to our supervisor. The pictures really don't give the arrangement justice honestly... Helena is truly a flower artist and was able to deliver such a beautiful flower arrangement that exceeded our expectations and left our Supervisor with tears of joy. We just gave her ideas on what we wanted but let her decorate as she saw properly and she did such a beautiful job. Although I do wish communication would have gone a little more smoother, I understand that with safe at home orders and making this happened through email/phone and a pandemic made things more difficult, but she delivered on scheduled and we felt pricing was pretty fair and fitting for the job she delivered and would definitely use her services again. I was in need of some flowers for a funeral and so I called around to get prices and an idea of what type of arrangement to order and to find out an approximant price. It has been a really long time since I had to procure flowers for a funeral. I called and spoke with Helena and she was very helpful and explained what sizes etc. are usually ordered. Because I waited too long to order she said she was not able to help me however she said that she wanted to make a recommendation of a florist that might be able to assist me. She is really nice and asks questions to get an understanding of what I was looking for (size, type of arrangement, flowers, etc.). I can not comment on the flower arrangement as I have not ordered one yet. I can comment as say that she is super helpful and very nice. Just don't be like me and wait until the last moment. Amazing Florist!!! From ordering to delivering it was all so easy and seamless! I do not live near, which made the follow up even more amazing! I was sent a picture of the flowers so when my Aunt called me to say Thank You I was able to know what she was describing about the flowers because I saw them! A week later and she is still talking about how beautiful they are. The flowers were over the top and made to fit my Aunt, definitely not your ordinary boring arrangement! This may sounds strange, but I never actually ordered flowers from Helena or worked with her. I found her stellar reviews here on Yelp and contacted her right away to see if you she could take care of the arrangements for my mom's funeral services in early February. Unfortunately she wasn't available to do so, but Helena took the time to talk to me and familiarize me with everything I needed to know about ordering flowers. She understood how difficult it was for me and made herself available anytime I needed help. Helena referred me to another business owner that she trusts and I was very happy with how everything turned out. It's an understatement to say that Helena is patient and kind. Even over the phone, it is clear that she is such a caring and sincere individual. She is exactly what she calls herself and it is the perfect way to describe her - the MOST passionate florist. I have fond memories of back when my grandpa was able to drive and he'd take me here to buy me stationery and cuter school supplies before the start of school and would tell me to study hard or when I scourged up what little pocket change I had going through K-12 to purchase cute lead pencils and the like. Even as an adult, I would still go in here to see what cute wares they had. When Sanrio closed, this was the final bastion of kawaii goods, especially stationery. Pencil cases, pens, various different pencils, notebooks, greetings cards, plushies, erasers, planners, and much more. Blue Bear, Babu, Lovely White, and much more. This was the true nostalgia core y2k aesthetic. I loved the notebooks that were in that "greenish" tone to make it easier to study on the eyes and the random ones with random English phrases and a photo of scenery or daily life. It was even recently that Katy Perry did some photos here. These shops are a relic of the past and a world that no longer exists for us. My experience in this flower shop is simply wonderful. I came to the place with a troubled mind, wanting to send flowers to a girl who I may have hurt. The shop owner, an educated woman with a positive outlook in life (as I got to know her since she is very friendly that I realized I was sharing my story to her and she was giving opinion and advice that really make sense), made me feel better, smile, and even laugh. Our conversation was very pleasant and before I knew it, she was done arranging the flowers - perfectly beautiful! My worries were gone like magic, I even wanted to pay her extra for the good feeling I got from her humble shop, but she simply smiled and said "no, I like people leaving my store with a smile in their faces.." Now, the greatest feeling that I had was the thought of ... whether the girl would like the flowers or not, accept my apology or not, doesn't really matter to me now! I never give flowers to anyone but I decided that I wanted to send out a beautiful bouquet to my best friend at Nogales High School for her birthday and for celebrating 30 years of friendship. So I looked up to see the closest florist to Nogales and I found Passionate Florist. I called the day before and left a message with what I was trying to do. She called me back but I unfortunately didn't receive her call until it was too late. I called back this morning and she remembered who I was and she was able to fill my order and she delivered it right away. She even sent me a picture of the flowers and the arrangement was so full and beautiful. My friend texted me and said she never receives flowers at work and thought it was a mistake. LOL! She told me that she "loved her beautiful flowers and what a SWEET and thoughtful surprise. It made her day." If you're not familiar with this style, each rose is individually wrapped making the bouquet look very big and lush. She also offered to glitter the roses. She was very good at guiding me and offering different styles and colors. I wasn't too picky, it was right after mother's day and I was ordering to pick up less than 24 hour turnaround, but she was so accommodating. She offered wrapping related to the event. Also, the HK style must slightly preserve the roses, she said that bouquet would be good for weeks - I was also doing another regular bouquet and just let her know I wanted something pretty and fresh looking. She offered various color schemes. When I picked it up day of, she offered to put a small balloon in the bouquet that matched the theme of the event - I let her know we would be out and about for a long time and worried the flowers would dry out but she arranged the flowers in floral foam and then wrapped it all in waterproof wrapping. We were out for about 8 hours and they still looked great - The florist was so sweet and accommodating. Her English was not great, but we were still able to communicate well with each other - Plenty of parking in that lot - Price was very good for what we got - Quick turnaround. I should have gone in earlier to order ahead of time, but I realized it was mothers day weekend and let that pass before going in to order. I was so glad that there were premade bouquets for sale. All of the bouquets were in vases, but you can request for it to be made into a hand carry bouquet which we did. The flowers were fresh and stunning, especially in all white. As far as the cost go, it was definitely worth it! Cecilia was the one who helped us and she truly was the sweetest.
