I gave this location a second chance. Last summer the food wasn't up to par and the service was terrible but it decided to give it another try because I was craving Pasta House tortellini. Out of the gate, service was bad. Our waiter gave off the vibe that he would rather be doing anything else in the world versus working at the Pasta House. I am a st. Louis native and come to the Pasta House every time I come back to visit St. Louis. The Pasta House on Ballas is way better than this location. The weirdest thing was, they cut my thin crust pizza into triangles. That is wrong and doesn't make sense, I actually wanted my money back. Blasphemy. I still love the Pasta House but will only go to the Ballas location from here on out. Had lunch with some friends. I like Pasta House because they are the only place I know of that has Linguine with Chicken Livers & mushrooms. As always the chicken livers were cooked perfectly. Their cream sauce is very good, the mushroom pieces were large and plentiful. The meal was large enough that I took home a good size portion for the wife. Our server took great care of us. Their ice tea is fresh and better than most. This is in a strip mall so the ambience isn't great, but we come for the food. read more

Just had a delivery from pasta house and can't believe how disappointing it is. I ordered the Joe special roast beef, which is supposed to be a French dip sandwich and they sent it without the dip. Very hard to eat this cold toasty hard bread without having something to dip it in. The only reason I get this sandwich is because it's supposed to have the au jus. It's supposed to come with a small amount of their special salad, which either comes on the bread or you can ask for it on the side. I asked for it on the side and that did not come either. I had a doctor's appointment across the street so I placed an order through doordash and scheduled a time to pick up. It was a thursday late afternoon, the parking lot was pretty packed but there were still some spots open nearby so it wasn't a big deal. I'm not sure what it's like on a busy night though so do plan ahead! Pick up was easy enough! I walked in, was greeted at the door. Again, it wasn't packed but it definitely wasn't empty either! After being greeted, I mentioned I was there for pickup, I was asked the name under the order and it was all ready to be picked up and it was HOT! Gotta love perfect timing, especially since the place was busy, I didn't have to wait at all. I was in and out of there! So like I said, it definitely hit the spot and of course I had some left over for lunch tomorrow at work. Co-workers were definitely jealous. The only thing I would point out are the prices. Very very pricey. I think before tax it's listed out at $17 and a little over $20 after tax. Luckily I had a promo for $10 off a $20* order and ended up paying $11.12 which I would say is fair. Our dishes were overcooked and the dishes watery as if the mushy pasta wasn't drained properly. This was the first time in probably twenty years that I ordered something different than Chicken Parm! I had Nona Tucci's meatballs with pasta shells in white sauce. It was good, but had me a little freaked out because the meatballs had pink spots on the inside. Our waitress, Ashley, assured me that they were thoroughly cooked and that sometimes they look that way because of how they are made. I eat at Pasta House around town pretty often. I hadn't been to the Delmar one in years but I grew up eating at this location. Stopped in on a weekday for a late lunch. The food was great and the service was great. Far above some other locations. You don't need a rundown of their menu since it's pretty standard but this summer they have a Fried Artichoke appetizer on the seasonal menu. Order it! It's delicious! read more

Went to The Pasta House at Ladue Crossing tonight and it was a disaster. It took over 25 minutes to order. The manager said they were understaffed. If you know you are having trouble serving the dining room, why would you accept carry out orders? The food was not even mediocre. I ordered Chicken Piccata and the light lemon sauce was a congealed lump on overcooked chicken. No lemon flavor at all and about 5 capers. Tried to get a refill on iced tea which was finally done when they brought the check. Today was incredibly disappointing at this Pasta House. We were there over an hour to order kids meals. Wrong drinks were given, we had five different servers, no silverware, no rolls. I don't ever write a review but the service and food here was absolutely horrendous. My husband got the all you can eat pasta and the server never returned after dropping off his dish. The food was terrible and either too hot or too cold. We weren't able to even request to have any of it heated up because our server didn't return. We had to alert her to even realize we needed boxes and check. When I asked the manager to take off just the "all you can eat" pasta meal, he assumed I was asking for the whole check to be comp because I sure it's been asked already that night. The restaurant wasn't busy and there was tons of front of house staff yet every table was left dirty for long periods of time and no one was getting any regular service. And when the prices were lower, the salad actually had more to it than large pieces of lettuce, one sliver of onion, and possibly one little piece or artichoke. The servers would actually walk around and ask if you would like another roll. Remember those days? Now their prices are unreal and if you ask for more than one roll, they act like you might just put them out of business. We have ordered from this Pasta House on Door dash. Their entrees are close to $20. I want to know-- at this price why in the hell it is impossible to get ONE roll with the go order? Twice now we have ordered and NO rolls. I just had an incredibly obnoxious experience with the manager working on the evening of 4/15/22. I ordered carry out and had a perfectly nice experience with the person who took my payment and handed off my food. She made a reasonable mistake, and forgot to hand me a bag that contained our salad. Simple enough, but it wasn't easy for me to return to the store to get it. I called and tried talking to the manager about getting a credit. Instead of simply offering the credit, he decided to argue with me. He said "She handed you both bags". He wasn't even present and she did not hand me more than one bag. She even answered the call initially and stated: "Oh! I'm sorry! I missed the one bag. It's sitting here. Can you come get it?" I cannot get over how rude this manager was. He wanted to sit and argue with me about "my" mistake. I asked him to simply give me my credit, but now I was irritated. He kept arguing that it was my fault. I continued to get more irritated because he was making me feel like I was under an interrogation. He ended up telling me that if "I" didn't stop speaking rudely to "him" he wasn't going to give me my creditq. It was clear that this was the end of the conversation. Never got my food, never got my money back. Made me sad that some people think this is an acceptable way to talk to a customer. read more
