Italian Sub, Toasted ravioli, garlic cheese bread!
    Angela G.

Hands down great food!!! Italian Sub so far is my favorite sandwich! Tried the toasted ravioli and was not disappointed. Garlic cheese bread is yummy . The inside could use some updates, but this will definitely be my new sandwich spot!! Lived in Arnold for over 10 years and only recently began coming here. Boy oh boy have I been missing out!!

The red sauce is so good. The bread is nice and soft. The cinnamon bread is the best I ever ate! Definitely worth eating here!

So we ordered pomodoros for my birthday and the sub sandwich was awesome! The bread almost tasted like Hawaiian bread. We will order again.

I just love that they haven't changed a thing in twenty years! If it ain't broke don't fix it- wish more restaurants understood this. :)

I'm a sucker for the sweet bread and almost always get the buffalo chicken sandwich and cinnamon bread.

The restaurant was cleaner inside and it was busy but not overall packed. Our waitress checked in on us frequently to keep our drinks full! I got the shrimp speidini and white pasta. The shrimp was deliciously buttery, and the white pasta was very delicious as well. Each time it's a consistent experience, so we'll be back again!

Every one of them the food gas dropped in quality, quantity and consistency while prices skyrocket up. Some of the restaurants are better than others but still nothing like what it use to be. Servers and bartenders are still good for the most part. Couple weeks ago we tried Frankie G's Imperial one more time and we were there with friends that have also been going for years, we both agreed it would be our last time unless you guys change your ways. One of the other main issue is management. Same visit our friend informed one of the workers that the woman's restroom was disgusting. Male manager shortly after peeked his head into the men's restroom and yelled is it dirty or disgusting in here? He stated he didn't think it was and actually was asking customers if it was because someone complained. It wasn't horrible in the mens, but it wasn't really clean either. Dude just clean your restrooms. Didn't even realize it was the woman's restroom in question and didn't see him address it. Our same friends were there couple weeks earlier and it wasn't really busy since it was early. They hadn't received their food in over an hour while others that came in after, got their food. My buddy asked the woman manager what was going on and she snapped at him saying the kitchen was really busy and they would get their food when its ready? They finally got their food and wasn't that great as well as the manager was mean mugging my buddy the entire time. It got so bad he actually was mean mugging back. No apologies or recognition of the problem, only an attitude and mean mugging a customer. Unbelievable, my buddy is an easy going very nice guy and got a chuckle out doing the same thing to her. But if she would have done that crap to me I would've went up to her and demanded she call her boss. Completely unacceptable behavior. I've owned and managed a successful buisness for 30 years, would never think of doing anything like this and would never allow any of my employees to act like this without being reprimanded and or fired. Apparently management is so arrogant and blind to see problems at hand and or just don't care. Its not the customers fault you suck now. Get your crap together and get back to old school basics like you use to do. Such a shame and hope the owners start to realize this and make the needed changes.

What really stood out to me was the service we received! I really appreciated not being rushed through our meal. The fact that they actually let you order your courses separately so they're not coming out on top of each other was refreshing. And even though it was a Friday night and there were others waiting to get in we weren't rushed to pay our bill but instead invited to take our time. We hadn't seen or heard much about their pizzas, but we were in the mood for one and decided to order the meat pizza. It was made in a brick oven and it was really tasty. Honestly there were so many toppings that we ended up asking for an extra cup of the marinara sauce to dip it in. The sauce is made in house, it was delicious and the waitress said it's the same one that's used with the spaghetti and meatballs. In regard to the pizza size even though they're considered personal pizzas it was definitely bigger than we were anticipating. I would say they're close to 11 to 12 inches in diameter. My husband and I each enjoyed two pieces with our salad and took the other half home with us. They are definitely big enough to share, especially if you're ordering an appetizer or a salad to go with it. Our group very much enjoyed the artichoke spinach dip. It came with bread that had been cooked in their brick oven and I love that the spinach was in bigger pieces. My husband, and I also shared the harvest salad which had butternut squash on it, candied pecans & goat cheese. It was really yummy. Others in our group enjoyed the salmon and the crispy chicken sandwich. I had recently seen on a local Jefferson County page that many people consider Twisted Tavern the best place for a good piece of cake specifically, their wedding cake . Truth is that was the primary reason why I suggested this restaurant to meet our friends at but sadly by the time we finished our meal and were ready to order dessert they had already sold out. We were told this does not usually happen. Overall, we found tasty fresh food made in house, great service and fair prices. I am already planning another visit to the Twisted Tavern (so I can try their wedding cake! ).

We called ahead before to ask if they can sit 7 people and 2 kids if we needed a reservation. We were told no and to come on in. We were less than 10 mins away but wanted to call ahead to make sure just incase we needed to go to another restaurant. we were told no and to come on in they will get us right in. From the moment we walked in around 6:20-6:30 pm , the experience was terrible. We did not receive our food until after 7:45 PM. On top of that, a takeout order was placed at the same time as our original order, but it was not brought out until more than 30 -40 minutes after we had already paid the check. We paid our bill around 8:05 PM and were repeatedly told the takeout food was "being boxed up," yet we did not actually receive it until after 8:40 PM. What made the situation even worse was the attitude from the staff. When my father pointed out that we had been there for over 2 hours waiting on food, the server actually chuckled at him instead of addressing the issue professionally. After speaking with the owner, Mike, he stated, "I will back up my employees," claimed we were incorrect, and said that as a chef, he personally trained his staff. Even after explaining how unacceptable the service was -- including the excessive wait times and cold food -- he continued to dismiss our concerns. When asked what could be done to make the situation right, we explained that after such poor service, cold food, and extremely long wait times, some type of refund would be appropriate considering we spent over $200 plus tip. His solution was to offer a free fettuccine. At that point, it was no longer about compensation, a refund, or a free meal -- it was about the complete disrespect my family received both during our visit last night and in the way we were treated by the owner afterward. His response was essentially, "You got your food, didn't you?" He also claimed this was the first complaint he had received since December. To add the restaurant was not busy once they set up our table. Overall, the experience was rude, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. I will absolutely be warning others about how poorly my family was treated.
