I can't believe I have lived in Florida my whole life and I've never been here. Tonight we went to see LA Guns and Cinderella June 2026. This place is pretty nice. I didn't take a whole lot of pictures of the inside but it has nice bathrooms and friendly staff. The sound was amazing. The place is not real big so you have a good seat just about anywhere you are. Except when the band comes on everyone stands up so if you want to see an event here I would suggest getting seats in the front. Our seats were near the back and we were able to move up front to watch the band. The staff here is friendly. They don't mind if you break the rules a little. Wink wink. Staff was friendly. Get there early especially if the area is busy. Got there about two (2) hours before showtime. Didn't know there was a show next door. Thank goodness we did get there early. We were able to park in the front near the side entrance of The Peabody. The wait didn't seem long especially being in good company. Heard later that some people had to walk a distance because of the two shows that night. I will be going back soon to The Peabody for another show and will definitely get there early just in case. read more

Had tickets with 2 friends to see Menopause the Musical 2. First time for us all. We got into Daytona about 40 minutes before the show to find gridlocked traffic everywhere. No police or anyone managjng traffic. Discovered another event was happening at Ocean Center across the street that night. After an hour trying to get in to park we gave up and came home. Waste of money. Only notice we saw later was one on Facebook. Why an email wasn't sent out is baffling. I don't spend all my time on Facebook. Very poor management. read more

My wife and I got the privilege of seeing Kool and the Gang here in November. You can tell the place has been updated. They have plenty of parking available, staff were very cordial, prices for concessions are about the same as other venues and concert hall had great air conditioning. My only complaint is they wouldn't let us in the concert hall until about 10 minutes before the start time, which made the lobby very uncomfortable, as it got really hot. All in all, a great place to see your events. read more

This is a wonderful venue in the heart of Daytona Beach it was dedicated in 1949 and has been the host to so many stars and great performances, the Daytona Beach Symphony Society has made the Peabody Auditorium its home for the last 62 years. (Yes Daytona Beach has a Symphony). It reminds me of a high school auditorium in a lot of ways, with seating for about 2500 the acoustics are so good even when the performers step away from the microphone you can still hear and understand every word. The staff as stated in other reviews are exceptional very professional and accommodating. There are bars on each end of the lobby and although during intermission there are lines at both they do a nice job getting everyone served so you don't miss a minute of the performance. I definitely recommend catching a show here if the opportunity presents itself. read more

This is a nice small intimate venue. Seating is nice but old style auditorium seats like you had at school. We prefer to sit upstairs for a great view and great aucoustics. Tip- if you sit upstairs you do not have to fight with the horde downstairs for the restrooms. Sometimes they have dinner offered before a show which is not bad but there are plenty of places around as well. We tend to park at the Hilton and eat at the steak house. Valet parking at the Hilton is free if you eat at the steak house. We then walk over to the show, After the show it is nice to walk away form the masses and enjoy a glass of wine at the Hilton before getting our car and going home. read more

We went to the Blue Man Group show expecting the same wonderful, satirical, creative show we saw in Orlando in March of 2018. This event on February, 05, 2023 was a complete disappointment. There were a few somewhat funny moments between horrible, blasting, glut wrenching, pounding noise. Gone was the sophisticated humor. Gone was the "two against one" human expression. Gone was the satire on modern art and technology. And to top it all off, the grand finale consisted of the audience tearing a piece of green paper (given in the program) into pieces and throwing the pieces into the air. Sad. This was our first time at The Peabody, and we came for a great lineup of 60s stars (Chris Montez, The Vogues, The Boxtops, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, and Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone. The music was great, and we could easily hear it even though we were toward the back. I have just two complaints: they've got seating for hundreds upon hundreds of people, but they've got so few stalls in the bathroom that it would be more suited for a small restaurant rather than an enormous crowd! Secondly, $20 to park? Didn't we pay enough for our tickets?? We opted to go a couple of blocks away and put a few dollars worth of change into a parking meter instead. read more

When I was attending Holly Hill Elementary School, we would take field trips here to see Mr. Goodbody live and random puppet / magic shows. It was so exciting to just be in there at that age, let alone to see any sort of live performance. It's the only nostalgic place in town that I can go to now that has not changed at all. I never went to the Ocean Center until my teens and it's changed so drastically it's not even the same place anymore. Don't even get me started on the boardwalk down the road. As I got older, I started visiting Peabody with my parents to see comedians. George Carlin on March 18, 1999. Gallagher on February 15, 2002. George Carlin again on May 13, 2005. Bob Newhart on January 8, 2010. Jerry Seinfeld on February 11, 2012. Monty Python's Spamalot on February 22, 2012. Bill Cosby on March 24, 2013. Only being able to hold 2,500 made for quite an up close and personal experience with the biggest names in comedy. Being able to hear is never a problem. Whether you're in the first row row, center of the orchestra or in the balcony, the audio is always crystal clear. I've never seen any bands here, so I can't speak on how the sound travels with that pumping out of the speakers. I would have seen Alice Cooper here in 2009 if he wasn't such a religious douche. I don't listen to him, but I know he's very theatrical and puts on an awesome show. I just couldn't justify giving him close to $100 for a ticket. Balcony is a bit tricky to see from. If you're not directly in the front row, chances are you're not going to be able to see a great deal. The last time I was here was for Bill Cosby and there was an immaculate screen above the center of the stage showing the performance. I'm not sure if he brought that with him or if it was something new the Peabody obtained, but I could see it from the bathroom. So that would solve the balcony issue in a heartbeat. Staff is always very elderly and extremely slow. Having to wait for them to take out their flashlight to see your ticket and then direct you to your seat can take an eternity. I always try to sneak by them when they're helping someone else so they don't see me. I may not know where I'm seated every time, but I know I can find it a whole heck of a lot quicker than they can. I know it's not their fault and most of the patrons seem to be elderly, which only makes sense to hire that same age range. read more

My first time here at the Peabody and My first time seeing Lewis Black. The Peabody is a smaller type auditorium and older building. We walked in and the first thing you notice is the smaller venue/out of date decor. The actual auditorium seats were VERY UNCOMFORTABLE its like they were made for just born babies.....not much room in the seat for any BOOTY if you have some....worse than the airline seating...but the rows all slant kind of down so even though we had back row seats we could still see Lewis Black on stage. That being said, we were packed in like SARDINES and THERE WAS NO AIR CONDITIONING TURNED ON!! So in addition to super tiny not human seats, we were sweating like PIGS! I mean, come on PEABODY, really??? its 2018...time to get with THE PROGRAM! update and turn some Freaking Air on for concerts and venues...I FOR ONE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THE PEABODY!! BOOM=not recommended at all! and it looks like by all the other reviews of this place, they really don't care about what YELPERS think! Bad move! Like the pictures and fossils thing ,and all the things for small children . I had to stand up many, many times throughout the show because I was on the end and the folks in the middle decided that they'd come to drink and pee instead of watching stand-up comedy. It completely ruined my experience. Here's a thought: close the bar during the show. read more

My boyfriend and I went to see the comedian Bill Burr here on Saturday night. It was our first time at this venue and it felt like a cross between a classy theater and a high school auditorium. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, but there were a few things that could not bring me to a five star rating. First, the bar is cash only. Had we known this, we would have brought more cash and probably drank a lot more. In this day and age I can't understand why any place would not accept credit or debit cards. Second, for what it was supposed to be a classy venue, they were selling Sloppy Joes next to the bar. This is what also gave the high school auditorium feel to this place. The sound quality was good however, they allowed all the doors to keep opening and closing which let a lot of outside noise into the theater where the shower was. I strongly suggest that if they read this, they only allow re-entry through ONE door once the show begins! It was very hard not to be distracted with all the noise going on around the main event. Since this is not super close to home, it won't be a regular venue for me, but they could certainly use some work. read more

The drinks at the outdoor bar where very expensive, $8.00 for a daiquiri that I don't think had any alcohol in it. The served sloppy joes in what looked like a high school cafeteria. We didn't have any so I don't know they could have been the best sloppy joes in the world, but not what I wanted to eat in the dress I bought especially for the occasion. We saw Bill Burr on 02/25/17 the show was great, but I don't know how they would fit a production play on the tiny stage. The seats in the venue where old squeaky and extremely close to the people both in front and behind you. The theater is small and they couldn't seem to control the temperature one min you where melting hot and the next you where freezing, and when it got hot you could smell the crowd around you it was like being at a punk show deep in the pit and random strangers sweating all over you. Which would have been ok had I had some alcohol in me but I couldn't afford two drinks nor did I want another virgin mango daiquiri. The staff was very nice and helpful, they showed you to your seats and helped you work your way out of you had to use the bathroom, but they where not allowed to except tips! If I feel like you are doing and exemplary job and want to give you some extra you should be allowed to take it. Three stars for the kind helpful employees, and it was clean. Happy Together was a stoned cold groove man! They just don't write em like they used to. Brought me back to am radio on the beach at Cape Cod in the sixties. Back up band had it going playing with six different acts, Grass Roots,Cowsills,Buckinghams,Association and of course The Turtles. But Marc Lindsay blew me away! I wished he had the Raiders outfit on. Anyways, lots go great memories and fun. Don't miss it if you can... "Concert got the five star rating. Acoustics in venue sucked. Very tinny sounding.
