I've been to Clementines many times over the years and there's a reason why I've never reviewed them. The experience is never up to the level it should be and it disappoints me to write a poor review for a local spot. They never seem to have it together. Even with reservations, there is always some confusion when you first walk in. They always have to wait or go get someone else. Don't know where to put you. They are also not the most welcoming staff. I can't tell you how many times I want to take home scones or dessert and I change my mind because I don't feel like dealing with the people at the counter. That's bad business. Service is also lacking. We always have to ask for things they should anticipate we need- waters, napkins, sugar, ketchup. Basic things. I also had a difficult time making the reservation over the phone. The lady didn't want to be bother with my questions, which led to us not really having the lunch we wanted upon arrival. The food is mediocre to good. We had high tea- the roast beef, egg salad, and chicken salad sandwiches were very good. Scones are usually quite tasty. I like all the flavors they experiment with. The cheesecake bite and lemon pound cake were good. The rest of the sweets were not. Either bland, dry, too sweet. I've had some good sandwiches and salads in the past when I ordered off the menu. The ambiance is darling. It's a cute restaurant with lovely tea pots and merchandise. It's nestled in Grand Pacific Junction, which is the most quaint little village. For this experience, I do recommend trying Something in the area. Clementines has been a beloved spot for years, so clearly it's not always a miss. I suggest you give it a try and hope your visits are grand!

Chicken salad sandwich with macaroni salad. Delicious and refreshing!

We had a great meal at Clementine's. My kids ordered kids meal - chicken tenders and Mac and cheese. I ordered a new item that I thoroughly enjoyed - the trio. The trio was a chicken salad, tuna salad and egg salad in crescent rolls. It was all delicious. They seemed quite busy.

First time dining here and I thought it was a lovely experience. The place is cute, but caution for older people who might have troubles walking on the uneven bricks! We walked in at 11:30 on a Wednesday morning and were seated no problem. The seat was by the window and the sun was absolutely blinding, so they told me I could adjust my seat and that's what people normally do when they sit here. lol ok no big deal, but made the table a little more crammed. Service was quick. My tea was good. I got the grandmas garden surprise or something like that. Very flavorful. I do wish they offered honey, although maybe they did, I just didn't ask. (I received honey from here for Christmas and it was so delicious.) I got their quiche of the day, which was spinach, cheese, and tomato. It was very good! And the plating with the fruit and the cherry bread was nicely done too! Overall, I'd definitely be back !

Had a great time with my coworkers for a high tea experience. I did have to make a reservation well ahead of time, give them my CC but they don't charge a deposit or anything. It's if in case you are a no-show, then they charge you for the full price of the tea. It's $21.99 per person but an automatic 18% gratuity and 3% CC fee on top of that even if you're only 2 or 3 people. The value is not as high as some other places I've been to but it's not bad. Each person gets 5 TINY savory sandwiches, 1 partial scone, 1 piece banana bread, 3 tiny desserts with some jam, cream and 1 little pot of tea. My friends had to order extra on top of this because it wasn't filling enough but for a light meal, it was fine. Service was friendly and the place is very cute. It can be hard to find parking when it's busy but there is a parking lot and the area is scenic. The website does not have any info about the high tea and you have to call. I would probably come back to try the regular lunch/brunch menus! Wish there was a closer option to me in Solon but grateful that there are spots like this!

Such a cute little place. The tea was phenomenal and so was the food. This was a perfect Sunday activity!! Can't wait to go back.

Clementines is a charming, Victorian tea room with a huge assortment of baked goods, teas, and brunch food. Today I had the Avo sandwich which really hit the spot. The pretzel bun was the star and was nice and soft. My lunch companion had the vegetarian bake which was delicious and I will definitely order it for myself next time I go. While the service here is normally good, today I felt very rushed by the workers inside working the cashier station and bakery (our waitress was great) and that I was inconveniencing them by wanting to spend more money on to-go dessert.

Tiny tea pot that holds one cup.

Today a group of my friends met for lunch on a Saturday. There were 5 of us. This was our first visit since the new owners took over. First we were VERY disappointed with the tiny size of the white commercial looking tea pots that hold only one cup of tea. We used to love the larger decorated tea pots. Many of us took our younger daughters there for a cute tea party but since they changed the tea pots to commercial white tiny pots that cute eclectic tea pot "tea party" tradition is now null. The meals were tasty and delicious. We were all stating what an improvement since the last owners. The homemade pickle was very good. The macaroni salad perfect! The staff were friendly and welcoming It's such a nice place to hold a small party or baby shower. The waitress did NOT suggest or offer any dessert or cake. That was disappointing. So we ate ice cream next door. (I Would of loved a piece of the delicious cakes but waitress must of wanted to go home). Beware, Plus, we were not notified: There is an UP charge if you use a credit card. Plus there is a 20% tip added to your bill automatically plus you are asked on your receipt to tip again on top of that added "service charge". If I owned the restaurant, I would bring back the eclectic tea pots and remind the servers to ask the customers if they would like dessert after their meal. Ask the customers if the "would like coffee or tea" after their meal. There are so many things that would add to customers returning for a unique dining experience. I would have the manager train the servers to thank customers for coming in and say "hope to see you again". It's those little things that brings the patrons back. I was surprised to see how empty the restaurant was for a Saturday at lunch time. Just my thoughts...

Went on Sunday with a group of ladies. The service was great. Delicious long island peach Tea was served in a pot to be poured into a raw sugar-coated rim for iced tea. Clementines chicken salad sandwich with a house pickle, very, very good. Potatoe, spinach, and chicken soup were amazing! Was spacious for a small restaurant. Highly recommend. Dont forget the pasteries! Scones, cookies, and muffins! And when you're done don't forget to go shopping in the depot!

    Bday lunch & tea!

Coffee or tea in a place most people wouldn't think is a college town - 1 of 2…read more This coffeehouse, Rise and Grind, came up on a search when I was in this immediate area. I chuckle at all the names coffeehouses come up with that have the word grind or ground in them. It's a lot like how places that cut hair seem to work in the word(s) sheer and/or shear. The college here is private Baldwin-Wallace University which may have had a religious denomination closer to its founding, but, at this juncture, appears to be more secular. It's actually a few miles east of Rise and Grind, closer to the older town center, and offers instruction in a broader range of fields than one might expect. I saw that this coffeehouse got very good reviews and, with its big parking lot near a major gym, I thought I'd take a look. Parking was easy and, upon entering, one sees it's both a physically and personally welcoming place. The store is lengthy, so one can sit in the front half or the back half, which is more suitable for larger groups, but I chose the table I selected for its proximity to outlets and the counter. On what was a warmer day, I opted for iced tea and an orange frosted donut. The brand of unsweetened iced tea was very good and the orange donut was delicious. I could have eaten another one. Beyond chocolate donuts, this is probably my favorite flavor and one doesn't often come across orange frosted donuts. The service was very amicable. The prices are in line with what others running independent coffeehouses would charge. In fact, I'm starting to like independent coffeehouses more and more for a multitude of reasons, one being that they now handily compete with the chains and have more character. Rise and Grind falls in between 4 and 5 stars, but it tilts to 5 stars because of the tidiness and pleasing ambiance of the store, the apparent vibe that this is a labor of love for the proprietors, and even for having that orange frosted donut.

Inside is decorated well. Very modern and very tasteful. Only people inside were emts and the owner. We talked briefly and they are a veteran owned coffee shop promoting another veterans coffee beans. Always love to support local business, so it was nice to talk turkey a bit. Got a donut and a latte. Everything was quick to deliver and I took pics and dug in. Donut was okay, soft but older. Flavor was good strong maple but consistency was too bready for my liking. The coffee was great. A honey lavender latte with the right flavor notes but still had a pronounced coffee bite. It was well balanced and very tasty. It's a nice local coffee shop, with strong coffee but knowledgeable staff and balanced flavors. Worth a try if you're around

Inside is very spacious, homey but modern. There was a lot to consider, but they advertised as a crepe place so I opted for a savory and sweet crepe plus a croissant to go. Plus some macaroons because why not? Got to watch my crepes come to life, and food got dropped relatively quickly. Took pics and dug in. The crepes were fairly large and had pronounced flavors. The Paris crepe was citrusy and sugary in the right ways. The whipped cream was of low quality though, leave a film on top of the pallet and the propellant was bitter which makes the whipped cream taste cheap and out of a can. The savory crepe was odd. The presentation made it look like a sweet crepe, but it was balsamic glaze. It worked with the filling but threw off my expectations. It was funky, cheesy, and very savory. Needed a little salt to help make the cheese flavor pop. The croissants are gigantic. Did not expect as big of one for the price. Was suppose to be pistachio flavored cream but it was more almond flavored. Think they tried to use extract and lost the flavor with the sweet. The macaroons were okay, little crumbly and also lacked flavor. Not bad, but not with the price. Everything came out to about 45 bucks, so a bit pricy but the portions were large. I would expect a bit more punch in flavors for the money, but it wasn't too bad given the size. It's good crepes, and great portions. Needs better quality control on their flavors but if they can fine tune that then this would be an easy recommendation. Right now, it's fun to try but might be not to everyone's taste
