This place was fantastic! How quaint. Eclectic assortment of dishes and decor. I went here for my birthday lunch with a friend and we had a bit of a wait because it was so busy. Definitely worth it. Honesty was our waitress and she was fabulous. We dined downstairs and ordered French dip (the au jus was amazing) and club wrap. The sandwiches were amazing and the macaroni salad was very good with homemade pickles. We ordered tea and a lemon bar and Samoa cake for desert and it did not disappoint! As always the food was delicious. I had the "lighter lunch." It is the house salad with sesame ginger dressing and a baked sweet potato served with cinnamon butter. I've been to Clementines many times over the years and there's a reason why I've never reviewed them. The experience is never up to the level it should be and it disappoints me to write a poor review for a local spot. They never seem to have it together. Even with reservations, there is always some confusion when you first walk in. They always have to wait or go get someone else. Don't know where to put you. They are also not the most welcoming staff. I can't tell you how many times I want to take home scones or dessert and I change my mind because I don't feel like dealing with the people at the counter. That's bad business. Service is also lacking. We always have to ask for things they should anticipate we need- waters, napkins, sugar, ketchup. Basic things. I also had a difficult time making the reservation over the phone. The lady didn't want to be bother with my questions, which led to us not really having the lunch we wanted upon arrival. The food is mediocre to good. We had high tea- the roast beef, egg salad, and chicken salad sandwiches were very good. Scones are usually quite tasty. I like all the flavors they experiment with. The cheesecake bite and lemon pound cake were good. The rest of the sweets were not. Either bland, dry, too sweet. I've had some good sandwiches and salads in the past when I ordered off the menu. The ambiance is darling. It's a cute restaurant with lovely tea pots and merchandise. It's nestled in Grand Pacific Junction, which is the most quaint little village. For this experience, I do recommend trying Something in the area. Clementines has been a beloved spot for years, so clearly it's not always a miss. First time dining here and I thought it was a lovely experience. The place is cute, but caution for older people who might have troubles walking on the uneven bricks! We walked in at 11:30 on a Wednesday morning and were seated no problem. The seat was by the window and the sun was absolutely blinding, so they told me I could adjust my seat and that's what people normally do when they sit here. lol ok no big deal, but made the table a little more crammed. Service was quick. My tea was good. I got the grandmas garden surprise or something like that. Very flavorful. I do wish they offered honey, although maybe they did, I just didn't ask. (I received honey from here for Christmas and it was so delicious.) I got their quiche of the day, which was spinach, cheese, and tomato. It was very good! Had a great time with my coworkers for a high tea experience. I did have to make a reservation well ahead of time, give them my CC but they don't charge a deposit or anything. It's if in case you are a no-show, then they charge you for the full price of the tea. It's $21.99 per person but an automatic 18% gratuity and 3% CC fee on top of that even if you're only 2 or 3 people. The value is not as high as some other places I've been to but it's not bad. Each person gets 5 TINY savory sandwiches, 1 partial scone, 1 piece banana bread, 3 tiny desserts with some jam, cream and 1 little pot of tea. My friends had to order extra on top of this because it wasn't filling enough but for a light meal, it was fine. Service was friendly and the place is very cute. It can be hard to find parking when it's busy but there is a parking lot and the area is scenic. The website does not have any info about the high tea and you have to call. I would probably come back to try the regular lunch/brunch menus! Wish there was a closer option to me in Solon but grateful that there are spots like this! read more

I walked in on a Friday afternoon. Not busy at all inside. I just wanted some bakery to go. 2 girls standing by the counter. They both looked up. Neither of them greeted me or acknowledged they'd be with me. They seemed irritated that I was even there. Another woman was there waiting for a to go order and a man came from the back, all three employees were sorta were helping get her order. Sorta, meaning the two girls talked to him while the guy did everything. 8 minutes goes by...and finally the gentleman greets me. I ordered two key lime bars and a blueberry scone. I took the key lime right over to my mother's. I thought it'd be a nice treat while I visited her. The key lime was overly sweet, no tart at all! And the consistency was gummy. It stuck to the roof of my mouth like a paste. We took a few bites and threw them out. The scone? It was average, rather dry and doughy. I understand businesses and the employees within have bad days. This was an all around disaster. Looking at the reviews I had higher expectations for bakery and service. I shouldn't have to wait to be greeted. A simple "we will be with you shortly" would have sufficed. read more

And the eggplant needed some crispness or something. It was just truly roasted in the oven i guess so was a bit soft and squirmy. Today a group of my friends met for lunch on a Saturday. There were 5 of us. This was our first visit since the new owners took over. First we were VERY disappointed with the tiny size of the white commercial looking tea pots that hold only one cup of tea. We used to love the larger decorated tea pots. Many of us took our younger daughters there for a cute tea party but since they changed the tea pots to commercial white tiny pots that cute eclectic tea pot "tea party" tradition is now null. The meals were tasty and delicious. We were all stating what an improvement since the last owners. The homemade pickle was very good. The macaroni salad perfect! The staff were friendly and welcoming It's such a nice place to hold a small party or baby shower. The waitress did NOT suggest or offer any dessert or cake. That was disappointing. So we ate ice cream next door. (I Would of loved a piece of the delicious cakes but waitress must of wanted to go home). Beware, Plus, we were not notified: There is an UP charge if you use a credit card. Plus there is a 20% tip added to your bill automatically plus you are asked on your receipt to tip again on top of that added "service charge". If I owned the restaurant, I would bring back the eclectic tea pots and remind the servers to ask the customers if they would like dessert after their meal. Ask the customers if the "would like coffee or tea" after their meal. There are so many things that would add to customers returning for a unique dining experience. I would have the manager train the servers to thank customers for coming in and say "hope to see you again". It's those little things that brings the patrons back. I understand policies when making the reservations and then cancelling. However, I am shocked that I was charged $100 (2 adults and 2 kids) for not being able to attend. When I called to cancel the tea prior to the time. When I called the person who took the request did not state I would be charged. It's disappointing that small shop would do this. I followed up with a call to ask why and I was told it was because the food had been made and that voice message was left. - This is a lie because my voicemail box has been full (for years) and states provide a text message. The restaurant was a pleasant space. The service was lackluster at best. The server seemed to disappear and not come back for long periods of time. I had mocha coffee and the first cup they poured was lukewarm. The food wasn't that great either. The salmon burger was just a salmon cake on bread. Their lemon blueberry cake was gross. Went on Sunday with a group of ladies. The service was great. Delicious long island peach Tea was served in a pot to be poured into a raw sugar-coated rim for iced tea. The setting was nice. Service was horrible. Understaffed and wait time was over an hour for food. With ordering and their new process of the waitress taking payments, that was at least another hour. We ordered 2 salads with chicken and one pot pie. Pot pie was good. Salad chicken was over spiced and tasted bad. Ranch salad dressing was loaded with dill, awful. Banana bread was burned and unappealing with burnt taste. Two ladies were headed for the door when their food came, so they rudely and loudly insisted they give it to them to go. Like the lobby area has a nice collection of Knickknacks. Seems the soup portions have shrunk a tad from last couple visits. But their basket of bread was generous and fresh out of the oven. Daughter likes getting Tea in the tea pot. Kids pizza was ok she barely ate half. Didn't love the applesauce either. Silverware could use a scour pad and/or polish, was a fairly permanent layer of hard water stain on them or just years of crud? Dessert case looks good but too pricey for my blood. The food is AMAZING! Always a special treat. However, I don't understand why a gift card that my friend purchased as a gift has an expiration date, which passed, that they will not honor. It took a while to be seated and the service was rather slow but I'm not goingbto factor that into my review because I understand. However, charging $12.99 for an avocado sandwich that has premade guacamole on it and not fresh avocado is practically a crime. The chips that were supposed to come with it weren't there and I was given the macaroni salad instead. By that time I was very hungry so I decided I would just live with it but the macaroni salad had way too much mayo. I'm glad we decided to order tea and a scone after lunch. Unfortunately the water for the tea was not boiling so the tea couldn't properly steep so it tasted off. But the lemon blueberry scone with cream and jam was amazing. The food is lovely, featuring a variety of homemade soups, sandwiches and salads - all made fresh daily. Thank good ness, someone knows how to serve hot foods hot and cold foods cold. The soups are phenomenal and the sandwiches and salads are great and sizable so men do not need to feel they will be getting dainty portions. My Maid of Honor recently threw me a bridal shower here at Clementines. It was beyond anything I could have expected. This place is so cute and really gives you a cozy rustic feeling when you walk in the doors! We were set up for high tea with a party of about 20 people. There was only one waitress taking care of all of us and she was very fast. She got all of our orders out on time. She was a bit overwhelmed with the amount of people coming in at different times but she still managed to take care of everyone. The loose tea was delicious and so was all of the finger food especially the egg salad sandwiches. (I could eat 20 of those little things) They also have dessert on the top tier which included amazing brownies and cheesecake bites. I would give this place zero stars, if it were an option. We used to frequent Clementine's when they were under the old ownership. It has always been a lovely place, with professional and kind staff. The new ownership can be described in three words: unprofessional, immature, and unprepared. I think they're in over their heads. The place is a mess. They cannot keep track of orders (and I've seen this reported by others on their Facebook page, as well) and take no accountability for their inability to fulfill orders their own baker has made herself. It's certainly no way to run a successful business, and because of it, they'll probably be another restaurant industry failure. One instance I do want to call out, though, is something I witnessed in the parking lot. I witnesses a male employee follow an elderly couple out of the restaurant and physically assault the older gentlemen (he chest bumped him, and the elderly gentleman was clearly much smaller and non-confrontational, so it was extremely concerning.) I was appalled, and would have called the police if it had been requested by those involved. I have been telling my local friends ever since to avoid this place at all costs. They certainly don't uphold much of a moral code and are no place to support. Our quaint community deserves a better place that conducts themselves with class. read more

I stopped in here for dinner the other day with my mom after some shopping in Pacific Junction. I remember coming here with her has a kid. Typically they are only open for lunch but it just so happened that Thursdays they are open late. It is a cozy little bistro and tea shop that reminds you of grandmas house. It has a great mix of soup, salad and sandwiches. I had their chicken, potato and spinach soup with half a chicken salad sandwich. Both were delicious. The soup was so creamy and the sandwich had almonds mixed in giving the chicken salad a nice crunch. I would definitely recommend for a quaint lunch date, plus there are plenty of places to explore before or after dining in Pacific junction. read more

WE took our mother here for her 75th Birthday this past weekend as a surprise. I will start out by saying we have attended and hosted several tea parties. The best thing going for this Tea house is the name and the owner's demeanor. She is a very friendly and attentive to her guest. The food is mediocre the tea is well, to quote my mother she has had better tea from Bigelow tea bags. Then to top it off who ever took the reservation put us on the wrong day so when we arrived, they did not have our reservation, or they had our family as a no show for the previous week. Clementines did accommodate our party but did not allow us to have high tea, it was not our families fault the person who took the call put us on the wrong day. She also did not request or require a credit card at the time of the reservation which is their policy to be able to have high tea. Great service but every other experience was lacking to say the least. read more
