Pretty solid bahn mi (we came a day they were doing a special with a different meat, can't remember what), but the WINGS really steal the show!! The sauce they put on those things is SO GOOOOOOOD! The bartender made me a nice lil mocktail and the service was quick and friendly. Came a bit early, but they were setting up for live music on the patio which seems like a great vibe!

The pearl what a delightful vietnamese restaurant! This place is technically a bar that serves food because everyone ID and people over 21 are allowed only. Started off with the green papaya salad and it was delicious refreshing and well balanced, full of nice citrus and herbaceous flavors. The fish sauce wings were phenomenal as well and crispy with a nice sauce however, I wish there was more sauce on them. The banh mi was just good, but I felt not as authentic as normal banh mi spots. The caramel pork belly seemed pretty authentic and reminded me of my childhood days eating. That's what the bowl of rice. It was so delicious. I can eat bowls and bowls of this. Highly recommend the spot and recommend this for everybody who likes Vietnamese restaurants.

I've been watching the Pearl since it opened, but never made it because of limited menu options that it had in the past. This visit was nothing like I expected. There were a ton of specialty cocktails, but also a solid menu. We were lucky that they were having a wing special while visiting, and the peanut sauce wings were incredible. Super unique it also delicious. The bahn mi was really good, with a great crisp and flavorful. I tried a bunch of other dishes too, and everything was balanced in flavor and delicious to eat. The staff was friendly and helpful in making suggestions. It's a small shop, but they were able to accommodate our party of 5 with out much trouble. The decor is clean and on theme. You get clear beach feelings inside, which add to the experience. I would definitely stop by again.

We visited The Pearl for the first time based on previous reviews and because it was near our concert venue, and what a great choice it was. The decor and contemporary music set a great tone for our dining experience. Our server was friendly, communicative and attentive - another plus. We shared the vegetable stir fry with tofu and seasonal vegetables, and it was an absolutely delicious and healthy choice. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend!

The Pearl is one of my go-to spots -- I come here all the time. It's a great place to grab a drink, especially on the weekends when there's usually a DJ playing and the vibe is lively but still chill. I've tried a few of their dishes, and as a Vietnamese person, I thought the eggrolls were solid. Definitely tasty. The congee is one I'd highly recommend. It's very flavorful, filling, and the portion is generous. Cocktails are always on point. The menu rotates, but I've really enjoyed a few, especially the roselle-colored glasses and the Vietnamese coffee drink. I've also tried the Phoquiri from a friend's order -- wasn't really my thing, but that's more of a personal taste. The decor inside is adorable. I'm a big fan of the umbrella ceiling, such a cute Viet touch. It does get pretty crowded on the weekends, so I'd suggest going a little early to put your name down. While you wait, there are a few other great neighborhood bars you can pop into for a drink. The Pearl never disappoints, and I'll definitely keep coming back.!

I love the Pearl! They have great food and delicious drinks. The music is great, live music nights are even better, and the patio is perfect this time of year. Service is personable, quick, and the staff can make a beautiful and tasty drink if you're not sure what you want. My Báhn Mì was the best I've had in a long time! The bread had a bit of crunch, the pork was flavorful, and the veggies were fresh. Looking forward to my next visit!

Pork belly bowl with rice noodles

A cute and casual Vietnamese spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Came here for lunch and knew I wanted to try the pork belly bowl. I got this with the rice noodles and was glad I chose that over the rice. I think the spicy sauce and the salty pork needed the light and cool pairing of the noodles and it worked really well together. The menu wasn't super extensive, but I think the items that are on there they have locked down, which is honestly my preference. Our server was so nice and had such a happy and friendly demeanor it was contagious. The music, decor, and overall atmosphere really brought the whole thing together for a great experience.

Heard this place had good nuoc mam wings, so I went to give it a shot. Wednesday is half off wings day, so they're half off and the place is twice as loud. It works out to about a buck per wing, which isn't bad, but I'm just not a huge wing person. However!!! No one told me about the porridge??? Fake friends. It was incredible. I don't know if it's just because I grew up in a Chinese-Viet household where porridge only came out when someone was sick (bland, plain, maybe some pork sung and salted duck egg if Grandma thought you could handle it) but this porridge felt like going on a bender with your best friend. It was seasoned and balanced, a little spicy, textured just right with the fried shallot your dad might sneak in for you, not too much of anything, not too little. I'd absolutely come back for this again. And if that wasn't enough, they had some really cool cocktails. There's something for everyone, and the staff was super friendly. Even when the place was packed, we never felt overlooked. 10/10 would bring a friend here to make them feel better about life.

We wanted to explore SLC, and after hitting up a brewery, we decided to come to The Pearl for some Vietnamese-inspired food. We would have loved to sit outside, but the seating wasn't prepared just yet, so we sat indoors! The ambiance was charming... and they played good music. Parking was kinda hard as street parking is required. We were easily seated and ordered some drinks and wings! The Ten Pin Thai and Ca Phe cocktails were both excellent. We also tried the Fish Sauce Wings; however, the fish sauce flavor was subtle, and we wished it had been more distinct. Overall, a good experience.

The food was fresh, quality and authentic! The service was efficient with friendly customer service. The ambiance was natural lighting and the cutest lowkey vibe I needed to take myself out to lunch. This was my first time here and I have to say their drinks is TOP TIER for Utah. Good drinks, good food is all I need to come back for more. 10/10 recommend!

I came here thinking there would be pho but apparently they only sell pho on Sundays! Regardless, I ended up getting the pork belly porridge and devoured it in 5min. The pork belly was tender, and the saltiness of the porridge itself was on the dot. It's very loud inside, however, so it definitely feels more like a bar than a restaurant. They have a DJ playing in the corner which was dope.

We came specifically for wing Wednesday. The weekly special was green goddess which was pretty yummy! I love the concept and vibes of this place. It's small and lively, but still comfy. It was super crowded for good reason. The wings are fried so well and the crunch on them is amazing. Flavor-wise....everything was a lot more toned down than I was expecting. I didn't taste any fish sauce in the fish sauce wings and I thought the papaya salad was too mild (not spicy, sour, or fishy enough), which makes me think the place is catering to other folks haha. But overall, a great place to come with friends and they have good fried chicken (so come on Wednesday)!!

Do they carry local spirits from Holystone Distilling?

How late do you serve pho on Sundays?

In my experience as a customer, until they run out. On busy Sundays, I've seen them run out of pho just after 8pm, sometimes closer to 8:30. I definitely always try to get there closer to when they open for the night.

Do they have a beer menu?

Yes they have a good selection

    Does the pearl take reservations?

No it does not, but once it's full they do have a waitlist.

    Are kids allowed here?

They check IDs at the door - only 21 and older allowed

My server was very kind and helped me take my order according to my dietary restrictions. The cheese/egg biscuit was my fave! Super soft, buttery biscuit with cheesy scrambled eggs, garnished with some scallions, which I really enjoyed as it added something a little extra. My limeade was refreshing and had what seemed like brown sugar at the bottom. It was already sweet enough without me needing to excessively stir it. Also got the loaded hash, without bacon. Well, I must have loved it since I went twice!! First day tried the BLT as well as a chocolate croissant which is to seriously die for, it is a must. Kiaya (lord I hope that is right) was my server and she was excellent. I had a Pellegrino Blood Orange soda along with my lunch and loved the salad dressing as well! The sandwich was with 1/2 salad and 1/2 potatoes, yum yum. The second time, I had Connor (he will remember Sheldon) who served me. He was awesome. I tried out a blueberry mimosa, an iced mocha and a water (I had been walking a lot and was tired and thirsty, don't judge). Then I just wanted that dang BLT again! I also ordered another almond chocolate croissant (I know, I know, should have tried something else). Well I did get a cookie too! My lunch was taking a little long, so they also brought out a couple of pastry items to try as well, so yum yum! The Chocolate Macaroon was also so wonderful and I cannot say enough about this quaint spot. It did fill up during lunch on the Thursday, so get there early or late! Chili Rihanna is everything everyone else has written about. Show stopping deliciousness. I got a bubbly white to pair and it cut the spice and paired well. The oysters, however, were a problem. I wanted the oysters from the West Coast. And I got a mix of half-and-half. I sent them back. And I was given back the same half-and-half. But the second guy assured me they were all West Coast. But from the picture and from my taste buds, I can taste the difference. Because creamy oysters are creamy and I like sweet oysters, not creamy. So I felt like they were trying to gaslight me. Especially since I sent it back once. And looking back I'm even more upset because it was $27 for 6 oysters. Get it right. I regret getting them. It was a sour point to an otherwise delicious meal.
