I think our server said they have been open 35 days....so brand spanking new! It's a darling restaurant inside a building that looks like it was plucked from New York City. Hence, the name Brownstone. It's an older building with so much character-I wanted to wander around and see upstairs and around each corner, but I behaved myself and stayed at my table like a good patron. I appreciate how they've priced their drinks-all cocktails, glasses of wine and martinis are $15, making it easy to just pick what you like rather than consider the price. You're probably paying a little more for the lower shelf drinks and maybe less than you would elsewhere on the higher caliber ones, but it all evens out. Service is overly attentive-I think they might have been a bit bored. Our water cups never went below two thirds full. I'd rather have that than have to track someone down, so not a complaint-just an observation. As they get busier, I'm sure they'll sort that out. I enjoyed my food, as did my dining partner. Although it's more "fancy food" than comfort food, so for someone who might prefer familiar or simple foods, this is a step or two above that. I had the airline chicken which was flavorful and she had the pork and found it to be tasty as well. I absolutely adore the mural on the wall and how exquisitely it matches with the furniture. I'm a sucker for matching or coordinated colors, and the interior decorator and artist nailed it. I'm looking forward to returning to continue to explore this beautiful place.

Went in a Tuesday evening and no problem making reservation several hrs before. I agree with other Yelpers, the building has a very easy coast feel, inside feels intimate as seating it's broken up to left, right, and mezzanine. The chef has done an amazing job with many of the options. The gazpacho soup is a great idea for summer, bold flavor but could be less lemon tart. Nice touch w the crispy garlic & wasabi aioli on the Salmon belly sashimi. Didn't find the Shrimp Arancini anything special. The poached lobster linguini had great flavor. The service was very attentive and great suggestions. Cocktails menu had lots of great choices.

This was a full body experience. From the location, to the ambiance, to the amazing mural inside, to the friendly and personalized service, down to the cocktail concoctions...everything was phenomenal. It's priced on the higher end, but well worth the experience. We ordered a bunch of different dishes to share, and the scallops took the cake for me. You can tell a lot of love was put into this endeavor and I'll definitely be returning, and stoked to see their continued growth!

I was in town for a conference and looking for a place with outstanding food, a lively atmosphere, and a welcoming bar where I could unwind after long days. Brownstone 22 exceeded every expectation. In fact, I found myself making the few-block walk back three of the four nights I was there. Each visit, I was greeted by a genuinely friendly, energetic team that made me feel like a regular. You could tell the staff enjoyed working together, and that positive culture translated directly into the guest experience. The food and cocktails were exceptional. The oysters were incredibly fresh, the kale Caesar was one of the best I've had, and the salmon sashimi kept calling me back. Every recommendation from the bartenders was spot on. I was genuinely surprised to learn they had only been open a few months because everything--from the service and execution to the atmosphere--felt polished and well established. Brownstone 22 was easily one of the highlights of my trip, and it'll be one of the first places I return to the next time I'm in town.

Great service and ambience at this new restaurant. I believe it's only been open 12 days! We enjoyed the appetizers, oysters, drinks, entrées, and dessert. Highly recommend this restaurant!

As soon as you step in the building it feels like you've traveled out of Utah. The art is beautiful and the whole atmosphere is inviting and intriguing. Bonnie was our server and she was outstanding. Best advice I've had in far too long. She was great at making recommendations and details o. What to expect with each drink. She recommended the cabbage and I couldn't thank her enough. I would never have thought to try this dish. I'm so glad we did. I would get this each time I visit and I recommend it to anyone who is going! I can't wait to go back and try some more starters

But I wanted a drink and was willing to take the risk, and I'm glad I did, because it was nothing like I imagined. Bartender was friendly and helpful. There was a decent amount of people watching the soccer game on tv, we were all cheering for Colombia, but then they lost, so most of them cleared out. Vibe kinda died after that. But nonetheless I had a great time, and I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere. Plus 6$ mules and .50 cent pool is hard to beat. I guess they serve food but I don't know how good it is. Only downside is that's there's just one toilet, luckily I didn't have to wait to use it while I was there.

Drinks are cheap and so are their Hennessy shots at $7 each! Plenty of seating available, but everyone seems to congregate at the bar. I soon found that the bartender is such a hoot and so friendly! There's a couple of pool tables. The bathrooms are a little "shocking." I was looking for the women's restroom and when the lights automatically turned on, I saw lots of 70s models posing nude. So this is what regular bodies look like before the surgery era! The men's restroom was more classy with people smoking cigars.

I want to come work here! The food was really good, and really expensive! Our bill was $145 for the two of us. Our server Jaxson was really knowledgeable on the menu, and really friendly. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house as all the burlesque dancers move around the space. Be prepared with some ones to tip them, but they also take Venmo. I'd love to come back!

Sad to say, I'm not quite sure what all the hype is about…read more We had to sit outside because the indoor dining room was fully booked for the show. The night actually started off great. Our server was funny, personable, and attentive, especially when it came to drinks and refills. Things started going downhill when I received my entree, the Poor Man's Truffle. Unfortunately, the only way this dish lived up to its name was in how little the supposedly high-quality ingredients seemed to come through. The dish itself is fairly simple, which normally isn't a bad thing when the ingredients are meant to speak for themselves. With Belper Knolle, truffle oil, pistachio pesto, tomato, fennel, and arugula, I expected something flavorful and well balanced. Instead, the entire dish tasted incredibly mild. Belper Knolle is typically a bold, salty, peppery cheese, and I could visibly see the black pepper around the edges of the thin shavings, but the flavor barely registered. I also couldn't taste the truffle oil at all. There was visible oil pooling at the bottom of the plate, but no noticeable truffle flavor. I understand pistachio pesto tends to be more subtle than a traditional basil pesto, but altogether, this dish just fell completely flat for me. The presentation didn't help either. It looked more like something that had been scooped from a pan and dropped onto the plate than a thoughtfully plated entree. When a dish misses both on flavor and presentation, that's when it becomes a real disappointment for me. I will say the gnocchi itself was cooked well, which was one of the few positives. I also tried the burger, and it was significantly better than my pasta. However, the very small sprinkle of bacon was a little baffling considering it was an additional upcharge. Where the night really went downhill was at the end of the meal. I had been excited to try the beignets because that isn't a dessert I see on menus very often. Our entree plates were cleared, and then we waited about 20 minutes before our server returned and asked whether we were ready for the check. Dessert wasn't mentioned, and by that point our table was tired of waiting, so we decided to skip it and asked for our checks. Then our server disappeared for another 30 minutes. We eventually had to flag down a hostess who was seating another table and let her know that we were still waiting for the check. About five minutes later, our server finally returned and casually explained how "crazy" the night had gotten because of the show. I understand restaurants get busy, but the apology felt very dismissive after we had waited nearly an hour from finishing our entrees to finally receiving the check. It genuinely felt like our table had simply been forgotten. I also want to add that I tend to hold restaurants like this to a higher standard. I'm a big believer in "you get what you pay for." If I'm eating at a fast-food spot or somewhere inexpensive and casual, there's only so much room to complain. But when a restaurant has prices like this, highlights premium ingredients on the menu, and presents itself as a more elevated dining experience, I think that naturally opens the food and service up to more criticism. At that price point, I expect the quality, presentation, and overall experience to reflect what I'm paying for. My final takeaway is that maybe I ordered the wrong dish. Pesto is one of my favorite things, so I almost always want to give a pesto-based dish a try. Unfortunately, Prohibition's pesto gnocchi was not it for me. I also saw that they describe themselves as a scratch kitchen using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, which I don't necessarily doubt. What confused me was how so many ingredients that should have distinct flavors somehow tasted like almost nothing. If your goal is interesting drinks and a fun show, this is probably still a place worth considering. Since we sat outside, I can't speak on the show part, but it seems to be a big hit. Food-wise, though, it missed the mark for me.

The prices were very reasonable! Drafts were $7 and some cocktails were $11. The bartenders were super friendly and polite and talented! I really enjoyed watching them prepare five drinks at once without loosing a beat! The music was also great! They were rocking early 2000s jams. I ordered their penecilin cocktail which had ginger, honey, coconut and lemon with whiskey and it was delicious!! Everyone else enjoyed their drinks and we had a great time!

In full transparency it has been 2-3 years since my first and last visit to Water Witch. I noticed this in my drafts and thought I should complete my review. That said, I think I hyped this place up in my head too much before my visit because of the James Beard nod. So when it didn't quite hit the mark for me, I was disappointed. It's quite an intimate bar. By that I mean small space inside. The main bar has seating of course and there are a few seating areas directly behind the barstool area. There is a small walkway that separates the bar and the seating area. So the seating area is looking straight forward at the bartenders and the backs of people on barstools. I felt like the people behind me were staring into my soul lol, but that's a me problem ha. It's a modern design and beautifully decorated. I had two drinks. One from the menu and one that I told the bartender what I liked and disliked. He then made a drink based upon my taste. In my opinion it tasted similar to the one from the menu, which was disappointing because I was hoping for something different. There was one bartender that evening and one bar back, so even with the few people at the bar (I'd say 6-7 including me and a guest) and the 4 people seated behind us. It took some time to get his attention and order a drink. Which is part of the reason I only had two drinks. I would probably give this place another try since it's been some time since I've been there. As I always like to say. Stop in and judge for yourself.
