UPDATE TO MY UPDATE: "anyone else who can intellectually absorb my response", that's all I needed to hear to change my review from 3 stars to 1. I will 100% be taking my business elsewhere. Literally every other business in lincoln (and most of the US) is wearing masks because it is the right thing to do. It doesn't matter if I'm 6 feet from you. You are handling my food. Your face is within inches of my food. Like I said, I purchased the donuts because I myself am not worried if I catch Covid, however, I am worried for the people around me. I posted 3 stars based on the quality of the donuts & the selection. I mentioned the lack of masks so people can make an informed decision before visiting your business. I will patronize a business that cares about their customers because hey, as you said, it is my right. Update now that I have tried the new Perfect Dozen. Donuts were good, slightly better selection than what you would've seen at pink box at 9:30am. However, not one single employee had a mask on. I'm not scared about the virus for myself, but we live in a community with a lot of elderly people. By not wearing masks, you are telling our elderly that you don't care about their health & safety. Every single customer that entered the building had a mask on, and you could almost see a smirk on the blonde woman's face behind the counter. Something tells me the people working there/the owners think that COVID is a hoax. So do what you want with that info. If you are worried about COVID, this is not the place for you. read more

We usually get here about 10'ish and have been satisfied, get here later, then I'm afraid you won't be! Not a big donut fan, but the few times I've been here, I have been served with a friendly welcome and a helpful and patient staff. Every time I've purchased these delectable pastries, they've always been so amazingly fresh and fluffy and sinful! In brief: friendly, professional, clean, and well-priced. Highly recommend. I'm not one to do many Yelp reviews, but I had an above-average experience with this particular business. Went in this morning to grab a nice treat for my coworkers-to-be since it was my first day at a new location nearby. They didn't have pre-made dozens of donuts but one of the two nice ladies working asked my preferences and built one for me. They welcomed me to the area and even pointed out where I was actually headed since I had never been there before. It was a refreshing start to my day and I will definitely return. read more

I usually really like coming here. I came in before my daughter started school and there were only a father and his son ahead of us, and a man getting coffee. The wait wasn't a big deal. The girl behind the counter didn't look happy to be there. When it was our turn to order, it was uncomfortable ordering because she looked so unhappy. I smiled, ordered, and when we were paying, I tipped her a $1...I regretted it right away. She didn't even say thanks, thanks for service, have a nice day..... she watched me put a $1 into her stupid jar and just glared at me. A HUGE part of me wanted to take it back, but I left it in there. Told her, "you're welcome." I won't be tipping here anymore. At least when that girl is working. The donuts were good. read more

Best Donuts! Finally got around to visiting this donut shop. Been wanting to stop by since I saw the Groupon offer but couldn't get here early enough to get the best selections. Well, I wasn't early on my visit but I was still able to get a good number of yummy ones -- chocolate and maple bars, sprinkles, and glazed. I am a donut fan and these are baked fresh and light and not too sweet. Customer service was friendly and excellent... clean shop. The deal was for a dozen but we were given 13 (baker's dozen). Do they do that for everyone? That was nice... My only bad experience was the address... when I mapped the address "825 Hwy 65" it took us further down the actual location when, in actuality, it was at the first block of shopping center to the right after exiting Lincoln Blvd from Hwy 65. They should add Sterling Way to their Yelp address. Mapping The Pink Box took us to old downtown Lincoln. Anyway... the delicious donuts made up for it and now I know where it is. We just tried out The Perfect Dozen for the first time since we are new to Lincoln. I didn't take the time to figure out why it's rated so low but the reviews don't reflect what we experienced. The donuts were yummy. We arrived later in the morning so we picked from what is available. We will have to go back earlier to try an apple fritter. I loved that they fill the jelly donuts to order. First time trying, you really have to go early I'm guessing to get the full selection. I came at 9:30ish and there wasn't a whole lot to pick from but the ones I got have been really good!! They are sweet and fluffy and have a great flavor. The woman at the counter was very friendly and I will gladly come back here again, hopefully I'll be able to try some other kinds next time. *Note* This establishment does not enforce wearing a mask, however I still wore one. This may be a turn off for some potential customers but I felt everything inside was clean and sanitary. The lady even washed her hands before helping me. Absolutely the best donuts! We got there at 5:30am. We ordered the Apple fritter and a couple of old fashioned donuts. Also, we put an order in for 2 dozen donuts for Saturday. The Apple Fritter is the best that I have ever had anywhere. The place is spotless and the young girl helping us was so sweet and efficient. We will definitely be back. read more

Our family often frequents this spot for an occasional Sunday morning donut and are always extremely satisfied with the service and delicious donuts, but recently I put in an order for TWELVE dozen donuts. I explained over the phone that the donuts would be used for a donut wall. Not only were the donuts a hit, but they made sure they used a proper rising dough to ensure the holes would be wide enough to fit on the pegs of the board. I have recently been trying to limit my intake of sweets. This is difficult for me and I occasionally cheat. Today was one of those days. I had passed The Pink Box in my car a number of times without stopping. This morning was different. I parked the car and walk into the establishment. The aroma of doughnuts was strong and appealing I arrive late morning and there was not much inventory left. The lady behind the counter was helpful and I ended up selecting three items - a traditional cinnamon roll, a cinnamon doughnut and a maple bar. I took them home to enjoy. I sample just little of each calorie loaded treat. They were OK ... but not fantastic in my opinion. I found them a little doughy and somewhat dry. The flavor was good but not as strong as I would have liked. Note, if I am cheating on my diet, I have really high expectations / standards for the foods in question. Next time I come back, I will arrive much early. I would expect there will be more selections to choose from and the available inventory may be moister. read more

Employees don't wear masks which is shocking when preparing and serving food. It's a shame because I miss my donuts from here. But it's not worth the risk to my health to walk through their doors. I'm going to start off and say these donuts are amazing. Very good donuts. The only grip I have is there is never enough supply of donuts around 9 am. I showed up they had a huge line. I get why they have a huge line cuz there donuts are delicious but they had no donuts. My kids were disappointed because they couldn't get there favorite donuts. So I rate them 3 stars. Best doughnuts in town! No, these are not the fancy pants doughnuts with cereal or marshmallows on top (gross). This is a real deal original donut shop kind of place. Bear claws, jelly, sprinkle, maple/chocolate bars... you know, the best kind of ones! The doughnuts have the perfect soft but baked consistency.
