We did the Pharaoh's Tomb, and we had an amazing time!! Although we took mostly 11-12 year old girls, there were 4 adults to help. This is a hard room... With that being said, all of the puzzles are so unique and hands on! It's not just lock after lock, like some rooms. We didn't make it out in the hour, but we got close! We've been here twice this month. We took a four-person group to Perfect escape for the O'Bannion's Safe room. We ended up running out of time so we don't need to discuss that... :) 5-stars for that visit though. Taz did a great job getting us prepped for the room and with the clues. However, we had some family visiting from out of town and thought this would be a great activity. With a group of 10, we decided to tackle the Pharoah's Tomb. It was such a blast. The room itself mirrored an actual tomb (right down to the sand on the floor). Ages of our group ranged from 14 to...well I'm not trying to get in trouble with any of my older family members, and everyone contributed to our escape which occurred with about 20 seconds to spare. The service was first-rate with Anna getting us booked on the phone and being flexible with the logistics of getting 10 people lined up), Tommy for his assistance throughout the tomb and, as mentioned before Taz. One more room (Mr. Wong's Restaurant) to go. Can't wait to try, although slightly sad as well since we'll have to find a new place once we complete that room. read more

My family has done escape rooms around the world and the theming and experience of Mr. Wong's is one of the best we have seen! The puzzles are multi-linear, so there was always something for everyone to work on. My favorite part about this was the authenticity of the room and the variety of puzzles. Bring your A game to this room! I should not that all rooms are set to private and sanitized during each reset. It was extremely clean and felt safe. read more

I'll begin by saying this is unequivocally 5 stars. In DFW I would consider this arguably the best ER in the area. It is the best non-chain in DFW. If you are decidinG ooh which location and want a challenging room, go here. One thing we love about EscapeRooms is meeting proprietors who pour their heart and soul into their small business. The owners here have. I spoke to Anna on the phone to discuss ouur plans and we had a great conversation about her rooms and how many we should have in our party. Fun fact: her family owned a Chinese Restaurant and Wong's is modeled after it. That is so cool and just a glimpse into how much they put into the rooms. We had a group of 4 and barely escaped Wong's but completed O'Bannions with over 10 minutes to spare. There were 2 parts that didn't operate right but the gm was on it and helped us through. He said they are fixing those parts. The production value was very good for a non chain and the storyline was great. The roomS are challenging but in a good way and you won't leave disappointed. Make sure you have at least 4 for Wong's. There is a lot to cover. read more

Truly, the "perfect" escape! You can tell the rooms and clues were created by fellow enthusiasts. The rooms definitely transports you and the clues are well thought out and sequential in order- one leads to the next versus a ton of puzzles just for the sake of puzzles. We did O'Bannions and Wong's. The former is definitely hard... but enjoyable. Our game master, Antonio, let us have more time as we were the last ones of the night. Much appreciated! That room was tough! My favorite so far is Wong's. It's so cute and authentic and we had a BLAST with all the clues and puzzles. My favorite escape room out for the dozen I've done so far. I cannot adequately say how wonderful our night was at The Perfect Escape on Fri Feb 26, in the 9pm slot. The Pharaoh's Tomb is a beautiful escape area with interesting and fun puzzles and details. I have an entertainment and theatre background so can easily appreciate the care and detail in place for the experience. We had a group of 10 people celebrating my son's birthday. All had a great time. When we first arrived, some weren't sure where the door was. The building has a plain and unassuming office exterior. Look for the logo on the window and read the signs. Entrance is on the west side of the building. Only three of us had been to an escape room before, but they all felt this escape room was far more interesting, fun, challenging and detailed. They also said, unlike Pharaohs Tomb at TPE, in the other escape rooms, traps and interactive elements did not work on their own. Those venues required progression events to be triggered by staff in control rooms every time players completed tasks. Clearly this was not the case in our room. We directly triggered every puzzle to the next level through the specific actions we did on site. It gave a feeling of authenticity and accomplishment. I don't know at what point I forgot about the world outside, but shortly into the experience, we felt completely immersed into our goals and the tomb world. Very challenging, requiring all of our individual skills to solve and progress. The room was so good, they may have ruined us for lesser rooms! We made it out with 52 seconds to spare LOL. We are thinking about next time- Many of us want to check out the Wong's Chinese restaurant room. We also used their party room- which was a converted conference area. They allowed us freedom to bring in our own food and decorate. We even left our stuff in the room which they locked during our escape. It worked out great for us. What a convenience. This was a good, not great escape experience. We felt rushed in our interactions with the person working. Precious reviewers raved about this person, so I'm sure we just were unlucky and caught him on an off-day. Nonetheless, it negatively impacted our game. He was slow to respond to questions. Also, he could clearly see one of the main elements was not working on the camera despite correctly doing what was necessary (don't want to give the element away). This took several precious minutes and was also incredibly frustrating. At the end, he did not seem to be really concerned with the major item not working (and his not addressing it during the game). We also felt very rushed at the closing when he talked about the last elements we didn't have a chance to do. He was nice, but didn't seem to care about our experience that night. I took my three granddaughters and it was so much fun. I have nothing to compare this to, it was my first experience in an escape room. We all enjoyed and we are all ages. I would definitely recommend this place. Our escape consisted of three rooms, the last room was too dark. We had a very hard time seeing well enough to read the clues which really slows things down. That would be my only advice is give more light in the last room where the bar and the stage is, not sure the name of that room, just way too dark. We had a great time at The Perfect Escape. We've been to about six rooms so far and found this to be one of the better ones. We made it out but just barely. The game master was helpful but not too helpful. :) The room had a combination of high tech and low tech puzzles to make it through. We will play again when they get another room set up. I went with 8 others the other day and we did Mr. Wong's Restaurant. It was my first time going to any escape room and I can say I really enjoyed it! As hard as it was, our room master, Tommy, helped guide my group through to escape the room. Time was running out and we wanted to finish it so Tommy generously gave us a few extra minutes haha the scale was a bit off to get the weight correctly so I guess those few minutes was equivalent to what Tommy gave us. This place is great!! Now I can't give away any secrets but let me tell you it will make you think. I was super happy with how I could get a reservation with such short notice and have it all fall into plan. The gentleman working was super nice and explained everything throughly and made sure we understood. I definitely recommend this place for anything from groups to dates to family fun or even just trying something new with friends! The biggest thing that led me here is how late they were open. I was able to get a spot for two at 1030 so it worked great with dinner right before then working it off by being rushed by a clock. The price was very reasonable and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. We did all three rooms: Obanion's, Wong's Chinese Restaurant, and the Pharaoh's Tomb! We loved all of them and truly had a blast completing them! We had never been to an escape room before this and had no idea what to expect, but it totally exceeded our expectations. I'll go ahead and share my thoughts on each room. Obanion's: This is their "easiest" room but don't assume that doesn't mean it won't be a challenge. We needed every second of our 60 minutes to complete it, and then some! Because this was our first escape room, we actually initially wanted to do something harder afraid this one would be too easy. But escape rooms aren't about your intelligence level, they are about having an experienced understanding of what to look for and how to solve them. Just because it's their easiest does not make it easy, and we were told that many don't complete it. This room was probably my favorite, there were a ton of twists and turns we didn't expect and we found ourselves getting more and more excited as we worked through the room. Wong's: This is the mid level room, and a really fun challenge. We liked that this one had a bit of a different story line than most escape rooms, and the room is larger so there is a lot more ground to cover. We definitely needed more clues to solve it but it was a blast! They do such an amazing job making it a believable experience and also making the puzzles in each room vastly different. Pharaoh: We were absolutely blown away by the theming in here. It really is totally immersive and you get into the Egyptian theme really well. But I admit - IT IS HARD!! Unless you're a very experienced escape room player, start with Wong's or Obanion's. Again, the puzzles are very challenging, and different from the ones you'll experience in their other rooms. So each room is a totally new challenge. My teammates liked this room the best just based on the theme. And I have nothing but excellent things to say about all of the staff here as well. They were excellent at guiding us and you can tell they genuinely care about how your experience went. They don't just own an escape room, they themselves are escape room enthusiasts! read more

Absolutely loved this place! I went with my family on a whim, and we enjoyed it so much. It's the best escape room we have been to so far! The staff was very friendly, and the room we did was sooo fun and very well thought out. TL;DR I am now a fan of escape rooms, the Egyptian themed room was a fantastic experience, ask for Taz he is an amazing Game Master and very respectful I had never been to an escape room before and did not think much of them. I figured most of the puzzles would be too gimmicky and lack real detail. But boy was I wrong! Don't think I could have picked a better place to have my first experience! I went with a group of friends who mostly had never been to an escape room (we had two people who had been to a few before). We completed the Egyptian themed room with only seconds to spare and had an amazing time! The puzzles were fun and genuinely made us think. The room overall managed to tell a real story. Nothing felt forced or out of place. Everything was beautifully designed. Serious props to our Game Master Taz. He really made us feel welcome when starting the room and explaining the process. I appreciate that he kept such close attention to what we were doing and was willing to let us know when we solved a puzzle correctly but just weren't looking for the right outcome. His hints were always exactly what we needed while also being cryptic enough to make us keep thinking. I really liked that. Will definitely be visiting this escape room again and recommending it to all my friends looking to have their first crack at one. read more

So much fun!! Went for my first escape room with a group of about 8. It was almost all of our first times so we were really hoping for something great. This place looks like a hole in the wall and it's hard to recognize but the experience is great! I loved all of it. We did the Pharaoh's room which is apparently the hardest escape room so we were a little intimidated. I would probably recommend an easier room if it were the first time going but since we had such a big group we were still able to work through it! We finished with 1 minute and 30 seconds left. Our adrenaline was definitely rushing! Staff was extreme helpful and friendly. The decorations and set up was fantastic and the room was definitely tough to escape, but if we did it, anyone could! I've completed about 30 escape rooms all around the country and can say with no hesitation that THE PERFECT ESCAPE is easily in my Top 5. We did the Pharoh themed room with three people-we escaped!. It's well designed, ingenious, and has a wide variety of puzzles (not just combo locks). We had so much fun we asked the owner if he'd stay late and allow us to do another room. He happily obliged. We did Wong's Asian Restaurant. Nobody will ever touch this theme. It's unique to this location, personal to the owners, and insanely clever. The love of the craft shines through in each of their rooms. This is not a full-time job for these guys, it's a passion project and it shows in all the best ways. My husband and I went for our 1st time and had the best time even though we were only able to make it about 2/3 of the way through on a level 6/10 room. We checked this place out online and it is as neat and detailed as they said. And Tori was great - very pleasant and informative. She said we didn't do bad for a 2ppl team. We had such a great time! We got there a little early so Chris let us hang out in their party room free of charge while we waited for group before us to finish. During the escape Chris was really helpful and even though we didn't finish in our hour, he let us have an extra 30 minutes to finish and walked us through the last few clues. O'Bannion's Safe: There are so many parts to this room, I don't know where to start. First, the decorations and props are great - even the door to the room adds to the design. We really had to pay attention to the clues along the way, and we did have a hard time figuring a few out because we were paying attention to the wrong things. Theme:There are such cool props and set pieces in here, and the story is well thought out. Each time we finished something, there was another surprise coming. Great for a large group of people, you can bounce ideas of each other in order to solve riddles, puzzles and unlock the secrets in each phase. I really enjoyed the Egyptian room.
