    Jerk Chicken nachos 10/10
    Urock M.

food is a 10/10 fresh, and full of flavor ! jerk chicken , nachos, and mixed drinks are delicious prices are reasonable parking is not the greatest

Their food is mediocre. Their chicken skin has the flavor but it's nice and dry so make sure you have a glass of water close by. The sauce is sold separately and I would rate it a 1 on the scale. Lacks flavor. The plantains were not sweet. The Mac and cheese was overly salted. Will I go back? Hard pass. This place is not it.

    The burnt and hard plantains

I will never ever order from this restaurant again. One item I ordered, I suppose thet were out of. The third carrier notified me but instead of the restaurant waiting for me to give my reply of what I would like to replacement it, They just refunded that part of the order. You may say great a refund, but no, then they would not allow me to add to the existing order. So then I had to order the second meal from a whole different restaurant. On top of that, when I received my order, it was completely a mess. The plantains were burnt and hard. The cabbage was just okay plus the second side of cabbage that we got that was supposed to be a large, wasn't even a full pint, and they charged $8 for it. I ordered a side of mac and cheese and then started telling me they were out of mac and cheese , they replaced it with a jerk chicken alfredo , that was watery tasteless and disgusting. The sweet potatoes were some funky, Brown color and not orange with some type of blistered something on top of it. They just looked disgusting, so I didn't even try those. And the side of bread that you're supposed to get with it was just completely MIA. This is just inexcusable and shows a total lack of care for the customer and pride in your product and service. This is such a shame because I was excited to try the food and support a black-owned business. DO BETTER!!!

I was craving for some jerk chicken, and I remembered this place by driving by a few times. Besides, I wanted to give my support to a new business in the neighborhood. The prices are ridiculously high for mediocre food. The so call mac and cheese tasted like it came right out of the Kraft box. Cheap and runny cheese, the cabbage was soggy. I have to be honest the jerk chicken was very good. Seasoned and juicy just the way I like my chicken. So sad that this isn't the perfect jerk place in town. Hopefully, they will improve over the next few months. Especially if they want customers to continue to support them. I understand the prices are at a high demand. But you have to produce quality food and products. The older woman behind the counter needs some customer service skills. Her body language shows she doesn't like her job or people. Could be a little more friendly.

I stopped in from just driving past. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and given samples of the food. The chicken tips and rasta pasta. They were very good and fresh too. We ordered a variety of items. The tacos, the egg rolls, the fish. Everything was so fresh and hot. The taste if everything was good too. They had a nice crowd as well, and everyone they gave samples to ordered multiple items lol. Good strategy! I'd definitely go back again. I'd say check them out!

Well I've passed by this restaurant and was curious if it was more authentic Jamaican but it seems much more modern American Jamaican. They were playing R&b music instead of rastafari Bob Marley music or classic reggae. It's not really a formal restaurant where you sit down and they give you a menu it's more like the menu is on top and then you order and you just wait for your food. I did try the rastafari pasta as a sampler with no meat it was okay it wasn't bad but I was in the mood for pasta in a Jamaican like restaurant. I would have assumed they would have had Jamaican jerk chicken but they have it as jerk wings not as a traditional Jamaican jerk chicken from Jamaica. Service was so so ok with the cashier giving the sample however she seemed to not care to explain their entrees in the menu board above them. I asked her about the size of the shrimp and she doesn't know for the shrimp jerk rice. If they're jumbo shrimp so they're just a little itty bitty shrimp otherwise I would have gotten the chicken which is traditional but decide to go with shellfish. I also ordered a pineapple ginger beverage which I'm not sure if she's going to serve it once they prepared and I also ordered fried banana plantain as a side which to me is a bit too expensive. I spent over $30. Service to deliver seems slow since I was dining in next to feeling ignored despite giving a tip. This is why I gave 3 stars yet people gave 4 stars well the moment came and I'm just surprised how they give me a Chinese paper carryout box even though it's a Jamaican restaurant. Next to giving soy sauce which is not even Jamaican. Tasting the rice and it's just a meh. I should have just gone to a carry on Chinese restaurant . The plantings were okay. This will be the first and only if not last time will be coming back here. I don't even consider this Caribbean food or Caribbean cuisine

The food is excellent but the service is subpar at best. I have been dining here for months, mostly ordering online to avoid waiting. After tonight's experience, I will not continue to support this restaurant due to their poor can stoker service and communication skills.

The Service was great from the time me and my Wife walked in the door. We we're giving samples to try first Wow. The place was clean well lit nice seating and the ambiance was nice. I had the 1/2 dark, rice with grave ,cabbage, and pasta. My Wife had 1/4 white yams cabbage, pasta

I grabbed the 2 meat, 3 side special which included: stewed chicken, jerk chicken, rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. There's a solid amount of food and I'm going to be eating on this over the next two days. There's rice and peas were incredibly flavorful, moist and had a hint of spice. The stewed chicken's skin was falling off! That's how tender it was and I love anything with bell peppers and onions. The cabbage was solid with great crunch. Sometimes it can get too mushy, but this didn't. The plantains were just right!! Great palate cleanser as I transitioned to the jerk chicken! And the jerk chicken was a hit!!! Good amount of spice and flavor! And juicy! I also had extra jerk sauce on the side. Hmmmm I honestly enjoyed both chickens and would say if you're unsure of which to get, just get both... you'll definitely order from here again lol I ordered through uber eats and naturally was PRAYING that my order was correct and it was. A nice hefty serving and of course I also have a slice of the caramel cake. Mannn this slice of cake is so dang delicious. The two miles that I run tomorrow for this will be so worth it! This hit the spot and was the meal I needed after the day that I've had!

I had never been to the brick-and-mortar location until now. I stopped in one Sunday afternoon to a restaurant that was not busy on the inside. I noticed there was a steady stream of individuals coming in for carryout. Nevertheless, I had a sit-down so that I could try a few items. I ordered the Belizean appetizer sampler. This came as panades, garnaches, and conch fritters. I liked the panades, which were corn patties stuffed with buffalo fish. They were nice and flavorful. The garnaches reminded me of Venezuelan tostadas. I think that what was a miss for this dish was the drizzle of ketchup. Since I stopped using condiments from grocery stores, the flavor of such tends to ruin dishes for me. I liked the conch fritters. I would order those by the bagful just to have for snacks. My main dish was the stew chicken with rice and beans and a side of plantains. Surprisingly, this was more like baked chicken. There was no hint of cumin, cloves, or garlic. There were no tomatoes. There wasn't a sauce or a gravy. There was flavor, of which I give them that, but the same stew that I've had in Belize and in my Belizean friends' home was not served here. It very well may be that the dish prepared here simply differs from that which I have had before. It wasn't a bad thing. Not everyone prepares every dish the same way.

So as soon as Jerky Jerk showed up on my Yelp search, I knew my search had ended, and that we found our pre-game dinner spot. Jerky Jerk blew my expectations out of the water. I'm a Chicago native, but I live in LA, where I'm lucky to be surrounded by many delicious Jamaican food spots. But Jerky Jerk has the best jerk chicken I've ever had. When I say that the smoky, slightly sweet, tender, fall-of-the-bone experience hit the spot, I mean that it HIT THE SPOT! Even the rice & peas and cabbage were cooked and spiced to perfection. All three of us devoured our plates in about ten minutes. I also love the colorful and lively Chicago sports murals that fill each wall, as well as the hospitable and vibrant service from the owners. They absolutely rock. They throw a party inside, and they make you feel welcomed and right at home. Jerky Jerk is now a non-negotiable stop when visiting Chicago. This place slaps.
