It's great to have a local Jamaican spot on the west side. Owners were very kind. The portions were generous. I've had Jamaican food all over the country and this place stood out to me for the cabbage - tender and flavorful - and most jerk chicken (of course). The red beans and rice were standard. Okay. Lots to say here. Ordered the 1/2 jerk chicken dinner, jerk chicken tips, the jerk chicken fried rice. Sides were Mac n cheese, fries, cabbage, red beans and rice w/gravy. Bad news first. The 1/2 jerk chicken was un edible. Like a brick (literally). I hate saying this cause the people seem so cool. Clean restaurant, good service etc. but c'mon, The jerk chicken has got to be the star of the show! However, the rest of what we ordered was delicious!!! The jerk fried rice; Healthy portion, well seasoned. Jerk chicken tips: C'mon man!!! Phenomenal! Get you some more xtra mild and jerk sauce. I could eat those tips all day. Red beans and rice---my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Next time I'll get the gravy on the side Fries, yes please (nice portion, well seasoned) Caribbean Cabbage, yes please (like no cabbage I've had before, in a good way). Went here A few months ago. Been eagerly waiting for them to pop up on yelp to give my review. I ordered a large jerk shrimp fried rice. Never had rice so horrible in my life. Almost seems like they mixed the jerk paste with the rice after it was already cooked! I also ordered the jerk Philly chicken sandwich. This was equally horrible. The bread was hard in spots that the food wasn't touching which leads me to believe that it was old. Sandwich was very flimsy because they only put a few chicken strips in there with a very small portion of onions and green pepper. Paid around $33-$40 if I remember correctly and that's ridiculous. What a beautiful pristine restaurant. That's where it ends. I ordered the whole jerk chicken meal white meat. The chicken was dry because it was reheated. I would rather wait for it to be prepared instead of receiving what I did. Not that I'm a specialist on jerk but other restaurants that I've tried was juicy and fresh.I also could not say I enjoyed one of the sides. The Mac and cheese looked great but tasted underwhelming. Cabbage and red beans the same just tasteless. I did call and they offered for me to bring it back and exchange it but once you get home from being out all day that is not an option. I honestly want you to do well but really focus on improving these items. You have a beautiful restaurant which shows that you take great pride in your image. Came here with my boyfriend. We shared an order of the shrimp Jerk eggs rolls, he ordered the Philly Jerk Sandwich and I ordered the Jerk Chicken Tacos. The shrimp jerk eggs rolls were a 5/5 they were super delicious and full of flavor. Tacos 4/5 needed more jerk season and sauce. The Philly chicken jerk sandwich 3/5 kept falling apart and was hard to eat. Overall the entres we ordered were very tasty, fresh, and hot. Only downfall was the Jerk is very mildly spiced and they give u a very small amount of sauce (charge you for additional sauce too). If the Jerk seasoning and sauce was more spicy the food would be amazing! Also the menu is very expensive and overpriced which makes it an unconventional spot to eat at more frequently. read more

I ordered a quarter white meat dinner with cabbage red beans and yams. The Cabbage was good, the red beans and rice was sort of dry and cold, the chicken was well seasoned typical jerk, the candy yams was different. What I mean by different is there was no seasoning on the yams it was just potatoes and a sweetener. There was no cinnamon no nutmeg no Ginger nothing that's what made them different. They offered one slice of white bread which I could get at home no cornbread. The the attitude of the Personnel was questionable their customer service is questionable. read more

Visted the The Perfect Jerk yesterday. The ambience is nice and clean, however the food disappointed me. I spent 70.00 on my family's dinner last night. Eggrolls, tacos, chicken tips, and sides dishes. The eggrolls were good, but the jerk chicken tips were lacking in flavor. The tacos were just ok. The mac n cheese was ok, but I expected better based on reviews I read. The sweet potatoes were Awful! Looked and tasted like someone was getting ready to make a sweet potato pie. Prices are a little high, but i wanted to support them, so I expected something above and beyond the norm. Unfortunately, my experience with the chicken dinner wasn't all that great. The chicken was extremely dry and over cooked, I'm not even that picky and I wouldn't have said anything if like maybe half of it was juicy or borderline ok, but it wasn't. The only jerk sauce I received was the 2 extra suaces I paid extra for, so I either they don't normally include it or maybe they figured they'd save some money, hoping I wouldn't notice? Just these 2 critical issues alone would keep me away for a while. The cabbage looked different and pale, so I wasn't expecting much, but after tasting and devouring it, I can argue it's one of the best around town, wish a little more came with the order. The red beans and rice was decent, but no gravy on top or mixed in, something I'm used to and enjoy but not here. Finally tried Jerk Eggrolls for the first time, so I can't compare them to anywhere else, but they were very good. Could have used some more flavor or sauciness, but that's just my personal preference. I may give them another try some time in the future, hopefully things improve over time. read more

I called to place an order for a pan of jerk tips same day so I know it might have not been possible which was ok. The lady on the phone said they only had chicken but she would asked the owner if they could make the chicken. He got on the phone and said yeah I can make the chicken what time very rudely!!!! We have jerk ribs and chicken what you want. I said oh you have jerk ribs the lady said you only had chicken. I went there for the first time on Friday, May 5, 2023. A very nice clean place. A lady was cleaning when I got there, a nice lady. The young lady who waited on me behind the counter, gave me the impression I was interrupting her phone time, a look on her face said it all for me. The rice and beans were ok. The mac and cheese was watery looking, the 6 wings were were very overcooked, hard and dry and small. Only one was worth eating!
