I have never had a rodent in my house before. Needless to say, I was disgusted and wanted it out of my house immediately! Since I had never had this issue I wasn't sure who to call, but after looking at the reviews for Total Control Pest Management I gave them a call. From the moment they answered the phone they put me at ease. Joey came out that afternoon and was very through and kind. He answered all my questions and made sure that the traps were in a place that my dog couldn't get to and get hurt by. My first follow up visit was today and Pablo came out to check the traps. Last week I heard movement on the ceiling of one of the rooms in the house. I heard the movement from one end of the room to the other. It sounded like there was some sort of weight to this creature. I took a golf club and started tapping the ceiling to see if I get any knee jerk reactions but whatever it was, it just kept going about its business. I knew it was some sort of rodent and by the sound of it, it didn't sound like a cute little mice named Jerry. I began to call pest control companies and most of them were not able to see me until the end of the week. It was Monday when I called around and most companies wouldn't be able to see me until Friday. For me, it wasn't a big deal but my wife was scared to death as to what might be up there and wanted it removed ASAP. When I called Total Control Pest, I spoke with Juan. He was very nice on the phone and told me that he was actually in my area and would be able to drop by in 15 mins. Wow! Talk about good timing! So within 15 mins, Juan and Alfredo arrive and I had a good vibe from them from the beginning. They were very professional and careful moving around the house. They put covers at the end of the top part of the ladder so that they don't scuff the wall. Details like that I notice. Sure enough Juan discovered a big rat hanging out up there. He takes pictures right away with his phone and shows me. I went up there with him to take a peak where it was coming from. Juan was like a predator stalking its prey ready to pounce. Basically, Juan really wanted to get this critter while the trail was hot. He said that if he sets traps now, it'll be caught within minutes. Juan gave me the cost of the job which included 3 follow up visits and I didn't hesitate on the price. I was pretty much sold on his service from the impression I got from showing up within minutes of my initial phone call. The price just sealed the deal. So Juan set up the traps and told me if the traps go off before Friday to call him and he'll be here next day. I didn't hear the trap go off but he did show up today on his follow up visit. Sure enough the trap did catch the big boy and so the party upstairs ends. I appreciate how Juan and Alfredo were respectful and helpful throughout the whole process. I can tell they've been doing this for a long time and they really care about the work they do. We live out in La Mesa and there's lots of critters out there that can be unpleasant...very unpleasant (think vermin). Juan and his team assessed our property and executed a plan to eradicate those nasty critters. Scratch, scratch, scratch. A couple months ago I heard rats in my attic scratching up a storm night after night. The pest control company that my Home Owner's Association contracts with (I won't directly call them out, but they're named after a local mountain that has a big cross on it) came out multiple times but didn't seem to do a thorough job and was unsuccessful at remedying the problem, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and just hire my own exterminator. I called Total Control Pest Control after reading other positive reviews on Yelp and was not let down. They were very professional and came out the same day to do an inspection. Even though the HOA's exterminator company couldn't seem to pinpoint any problem, Total Control did an extensive inspection of my attic and immediately found where the issues were. Within the first week, a couple big rats were caught, and over the course of the trapping period they caught more. Total Control did exclusion work to make sure the problem doesn't occur again, though they informed me to call them to let the know if I should hear anything else so they can come back out and see what else needs to be done. What I was most impressed with was the manner in which the company's representatives approached their work. Juan and Alfredo were the exterminators that came out to my home, and they were friendly, informative, and punctual. I felt comfortable letting them into my home and trusted them to get the job done right. Should I have any pest problems in the future, it will be Total Control that I call to take care of things. Their prices are reasonable, they demonstrate professionalism, and they seem to actually care about their clients. Wow!!! I'm super impressed with Total Control Pest customer service & honesty. I messaged 7 pest control companies via Yelp at 5 AM because I had been bit several places during what I assumed were sleeping hours and of course my mind immediately went to bed bugs. Ok so let me tell you all the reasons I am so impressed. First, they replied super fast & well before office hours. Second they gave me a time frame of between 9 and 11 AM in which the tech gave me a courtesy call 15 mins prior to arrival. Next, Pedro (I think was his name) did an inspection for bed bugs and any other signs of bugs & didn't find anything. He told me to wash all bedding, vacuum, and if I see anything or get more bites to call back & they would service. I really appreciated the fact that he was so honest. They inspection was also free. Every other place I contacted had a $75 - $100 fee just to come out. I will definitely use them for any other pest control needs I may have in the future. Keep up the good work! Being a "Director of Engineering" at my current job, I deal with all kinds of service and support from all angles. Meaning, either I'm asking for support or I am providing it. So I'd like to fancy myself as a connoisseur of GREAT SUPPORT. |*** puffs chest ***| But WOW! We recently discovered these little white bugs all over our master bedroom. On the night stands, the TV stand, the dresser , head board, the crib... etc.. You name it, these little evil bugs from hell were all over the place. No matter how many times we cleaned (we're neat freaks and clean everyday), these bugs popped up. I could honestly say, I hate them all! And I don't hate anybody Then comes Angel. With his pearly-whites, Total Pest Control Hero uniform and super professional aura. He takes a good peek around the house and lets us know we have an infestation of Bird Mites. Ewwwww!!!! Recently had Total Control Pest Management come and spray our apartment for a flea problem. Called on a Thursday morning and was able to get an estimate/evaluation that morning, as well as the spray the next morning! Great customer service, as they answered all of our calls (we never had to leave a message) and answered our questions in a timely and professional manner. A handful of days later and we've noticed a serious decrease in the amount of flea bites. We called and were told that within 3 days of the spray there would be some fleas, but after that period there should be none. It seems that this estimate will be true! Hopefully we will never need to call Total Control ever again, but we definitely will if another issue arises. read more

We thought we had bed bugs based on a dermatologist's diagnosis of a rash my visiting mother had. We were freaked out! We called a few companies and Jaime of Total Control came out the next day. This is LONG overdue, but totally deserved!! We went on vacation and came back to a full-blown flea infestation, I couldn't even be in our apartment for more than 10 minutes before wanting to run out the front door! Who knew "bird mites" are a real thing?? Well Angel did! This is the second time Angel has been to the house to spray and bestow his pest control wisdom to me. We heard what sounded like a rat in our attic so I called Total Control Pest Management and Alex was at our house at 8:00 am the next morning (they could have sent someone out the same day but I chose the following day). Alex was very professional and courteous. He showed us all the potential access points and set traps in the attic and around the exterior of our property. He then came back and checked the traps for the following 3 weeks. Each time Alex came back he was prompt and professional. The service was $275 and since we didn't catch any rats it felt like a lot. However we were able to identify the areas we needed to seal up and we haven't heard any rats in our attic since, so in that sense, $275 to solve a rat problem seems reasonable. Overall Total Control Pest Management provides great service at fair prices. I also use them to routinely spray for bugs at my rental property. We've been using Total Control Pest Management for 1 year now and it's made a huge difference. We had a very serious ant infestation when we bought our house last year. After months trying to deal with it on my own I finally called them up. We had ants in our house almost daily and several ant hills outside. We only had them spray outside and we noticed a difference immediately. After about a week the ants were no longer coming inside the house and the ant hills were gone. They come on a quarterly basis and that has been enough to keep the ants away. They're also very friendly and have great customer service.
