Ordered to-go online, was supposed to be ready at 7:54pm. Waited in store for over 25 min, order was ready at 8:18pm. The bahn mi sandwich was 50% fat. It is thin sliced brisket and the fat was very chewy and inedible. I had to take the meat off and most slices were a majority fat. This was the third time we ordered from here. The first time the to-go was very late as well. But the sandwich was good and did not have an issue with the food until tonight. I'm not sure if it is poor quality control, or more likely poor management seeing as the two gentleman behind the counter were working their butts off to keep up with walk-in and to-go orders which was not possible. It would be difficult to fault them if they didn't trim the meat properly. Either way, my wife has said we won't be going back- tough to argue that. read more

Well, keeds, I just had one of the best sandwiches of my life. Yep, at a pho joint. I couldn't believe it either. We'll get there. Today was opening day at the Fix, located on 34th in the Stomping Grounds, which is a kind of outdoor food hall spot with a large inner green with beautiful children and their folks romping around between bites, kind of like the green at city center. There are about 12 tables inside with 8ish more outside facing the green. You walk in and order at the counter. You can order one of their set bowls of pho, or you can build your own. Once you order your meat and which noodle you want, they slide it down on their side and you get to pick your veggies (bamboo shoots, jalapeños, you know... phixins). Then there are some beverages, then you pay. Bam. P.S., there are lots of add- ons you can choose, like eggs, awesome looking bone marrow, etc. I had just the eye of round and brisket. It was huge, and delicious. Great noodles and they put so much meat I couldn't believe it. I stood there and he kept reaching back in for more. Dayum! Now... they have a version of a French dip. The Pho Dip. People, people, people. Order at the register, give your name, and they bring it out. Brisket, some veg, bone marrow butter, hoisin drizzle. Side of pho to dip it in. On the best bolillo shaped baguettes I have ever eaten. Crunch on the outside, pillowed heaven on the inside. I cannot say enough. Next time I go, I will be asking if they will sell me a couple on the side. But wait, there's more! Today they had a co -op with Blood Brothers, and used THEIR brisket in the sandwich... for two dollars less than the stupid reasonable $9 for the regular sannie! Happy grand opening to me! Cats and kittens, get down there and get you a Pho Dip, or at least ask for a baguette to eat along with your pho. Staff was smiley, and helpful, they took care of tables, kept it moving, and just did a fire job. Can't wait till it's cooler, and sit outside and watch the green as I eat. No... I mean I can't wait. I placed an order through door dash this place is usually good, but tonight they ruined my order. They forgot to give me any meatballs but charged me, also ordered fresh noodles and what I received taste like wet spaghetti also charged me for it. In store they are really good because you can watch them and they usually give very small portions meatballs are a couple of slices not like other pho places. This place was a 10/10!!!!!! The food was absolutely everything. It is like an on the go type of place. Sort of like chipotle service but it's PHO. You have the option to pick what type of noodles you want and they do it all for you right there. The sandwich was amazing with the bone marrow. If this is a place that is coming up, it needs to be recognized more. The ambiance was well established, the seating was good. Now! Now! Now! I had to sit on this for a while b/c I was knocked off my feet by the food at this place. Happened on this place randomly looking for where to eat as a family last week. This place came across my timeline and we decided to go for it. What a nice little surprise when we pulled up and I we see a nice, niche food enclave with outdoor seating and young families with children just outside enjoying the H-town night weather. The Pho Fix, is truly that spot. The pho (we had the combination pho bowl) was delicious. The broth was rich, balanced flavor and didn't have that synthetic after taste other pho places have from using subpar ingredients. Now to the star of the food show...The Pho Dip Sandwich!!!!! I will say this sandwich is arguably in the top 5 sandwich in Houston. It's that good. I'm not much of a meat person and I don't do barbecue. However, even I can appreciate the deliciousness that is the slow cooked, quality meat cut that is in this sandwich. The service was good and the staff was friendly. They only had 3 guys working the night we went. Everything ran smoothly with the orders and we just enjoyed our meal and the ambiance. This is the best Pho in the Heights hands down! Every time I come back, they get better and fine tuned. When I first came when they first opened, it was good but it needed to be dialed in a bit, but now its HITTIN! The beef rib pho is good and definitely is a must try, but for most days and purposes, the regular meats will do just fine. I like the concept and the ability to put whatever I want in it. My kids dont like to eat the onions and cilantro so its just easier for us to not put it in theirs. The broth is the star though. It is so flavorful and tasty and I wish I lived closer so I could eat it more often. Anytime I am in the area, I stop by and grab a bowl or two. It is a must try if you are in the area read more

First time coming here and I have to say the food was full of flavor! I had the pho tai which has beef broth and rare steak with fresh made noodles. The beef portion was a very good size and the fresh noodles were actually very tasty. My husband had the pho dip and was very pleased as well. It had a lot of meat and the bread was freshly made also. The restaurant complex was pretty cool and family friendly. The service was quick and attentive. We will definitely be back. read more

(tuoi tre news) I work nearby and was curious about their southern style pho. For those who are unfamiliar, southern style consists of a lightly sweeter broth, and is bold with a depth of flavor. Northern style is what most people are familiar with- less sweet, lighter. Which is why the complaint that the pho here is two sweet is not real! You're just unfamiliar. Think of northern pho as private school. You know what you're getting out of this, there's a certain standard set, all the snobs go here. Now, think of southern style as that public school you just moved to and the kids are cool and wanna take you around in their dad's beat up Camaro. They introduce you to new things, and you come to realize you like different and being different. Naturally, I'm incredibly biased towards southern style because my family's from south Vietnam and I'm not scared of bold flavors, but the Pho Fix is a great restaurant that brings back the much heated debacle of Northern vs. Southern and we all have our sides. The concept is basically build-it-yourself, with a base of either a) beef b) chicken or c) vegan. I've only had the beef because my god, the broth is exactly what I've been scouring the streets of Houston for for years. I was just talking to someone about how I don't usually venture out for pho unless it's in Chinatown or from one of my aunt's kitchens. It never really tastes the same, or it's missing something that leaves me disappointed and dumping an unholy and dishonorable amount of hoisin and sriracha in for a flavor boost. This is not an issue here at Pho Fix. I can taste the charred onions, I can taste the fish sauce, I can taste the cinnamon and the cloves and the herbs. Moving on from the broth, the protein options are good. Your standard eye round, fatty brisket, etc. with addition to quail eggs, shrimp, oxtails, beef rib and the likes! I opted for eye round, quail eggs, and oxtail and I could not go wrong there. I measure my bowl of pho by how much it comforts me, and by the end of the meal, I wanted to curl into a ball and have my grandmother sing the song of our people while I drift in and out of post pho-partum. Yeah not really, but it was dang good and I came back the next day! Honorable mentions: the crispy egg rolls are really good. Pork and shrimp inside, when you take a bite, you'll see chunks of shrimp. Love that. No pics because I took it to-go and inhaled it in record time. read more

The location at Stomping Grounds is really fun and has a nice green space for kids to play. However, the Pho was not as spice aromatic as an used to. The vegetables that usually accompany pho are already prepped and cut for you, so not as fresh. You can order additional Items for a charge. We got the Supreme bowl fir $22, which came with one oxtail, one rib and one bone marrow. All were cooked tender, but if you wanted any of the brisket or rib eye were extra. The atmosphere of the area is great for family with kids. The concept of the place is pretty unique compared to regular Pho restaurants.If you're looking for authentic Pho, this place is not for you at all. Ordering like you would order at Subway and serve the Pho yourself. The Pho itself is not special at all, worse than much Pho places in the Houston area. The Pho noodle and beef does not have the fresh taste. Broth was pretty salty in my opinion and does not have enough veggies. It's like buying the Pho packet from Costco and serve it yourself. We ordered 2 combination bowl, which supposed to have meatballs, but we didn't get non in both of our bowls. The staff were not informative/attentive to customers, most of the customers didn't know what to do after they order and the way the staff make Pho in a chain was not efficient at all, causing confusion and delays in delivering the food. read more

I would like to say that this is AMAZING and the staff are so nice and great. I think its very rude of others here to say that they "are slow" this is a great place and i think this is much more efficient. The place was very calm and just a nice atmosphere.
