I asked what size the pho was since I hadn't been to a place that had sizes for it and she didn't acknowledge the question. I told her it was my first time ever there so I didn't know the sizes. Then she pointed at the tip jar and said small is like 2/3 of that. Already off the bat not good to react that way when someone says it's their first time. So I live in Pearland and The Pho Spoon is uhhh ... NORTH !! However, my buddy just bought a new Tesla (totally bad ass but I'll review that later). You knows it "ROAD TRIP"!! I went by today and had the Rice Combination Plate with Pork, an order of fried egg rolls, and the Mango Passion Fruit Tapioca drink. Everything was excellent. All the ingredients were really fresh. The pork tasted so good with the rice. I can't wait to go back and try the other items. Humble you are really lucky to have such a good Vietnamese restaurant. Really a lovely hole in the wall restaurant. They don't have too many vegan options but they always do the best they can to remove ingredients if they can. I always order the tofu spring rolls which are delicious, and the tofu sandwich without butter. The bread is always perfectly toasted and stuffed full of veggies. The Pho was probably the worst I've had in Houston. It was flavorless and had no depth. Got the chicken and tofu. The tofu was breaded and wasn't as toasty a I would have liked. So I tried The Pho Spoon and it is a go! Not only is the food tasty, it is quite reasonably priced. Good food+value=winner winner Pho Spoon dinner! My family wanted to sample a few items so I opted for the Chicken Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwich), the beef and brisket Pho, and the shrimp spring rolls. This was my first stab at a Banh mi and I am a fan. I do not have a measure of comparison, but I know taste. Their bread, like the rest of their food, tastes very fresh and house made. It was chewy and not doughy. The veggies were fresh and crisp and the chicken had a nice balanced flavor. Warning : There is a big kick of spice in the sandwich so if you are sensitive be sure to make it known. The Pho was flavorful and abundant. I ordered a small and still had plenty left for lunch even after sharing. I enjoyed the shrimp spring rolls, but it was the peanut sauce that stole the show. I'd bathe in that and then lick myself dry...just saying the sauce was good. I will definitely be a frequent flier. I took mine to go and it STILL turned out delish. read more

Considering the fact that there is a McDonalds, Chick-Fil-A and Mexican Restaurant on nearly every corner (sarcasm) in The Humble/Atascocita area; The Pho Spoon is a breath of fresh air, especially because it's right in the neighborhood. I've been twice and both times had my food taken to-go. On my first visit, I had the grilled pork Banh Mi along with an order of egg rolls and the second visit, I had the combination pho. The Banh Mi was pretty on par with most of the little shops down in Chinatown, egg rolls were mediocre and pretty pricey for their size in my personal opinion, the pho was good (the broth was done well and didn't give me indigestion. They also gave a generous amount of meat). I didn't care for the service both times. I'm assuming the woman taking orders at the register is the owner or manager. I didn't really care to get her name, but greeting and smiling at a customer patronizing your business shouldn't be that difficult. I typically wouldn't allow the service to affect my rating, but it was my experience both visits. I'm not sure what the dine-in experience is like, but stay tuned. read more

Great pho, the flavor is really tasty. My boys both ate it and they usually don't like pho. Lots of other great food. We tried the beef pho and added added brisket. We also had their egg rolls and spring rolls. The portions are great compared to other pho restaurants where I often go home hungry still. The couple that runs the place are nice and friendly.
