But here's a little bit about Cuppa Yo: = Location / Parking = It's only about a quarter mile away off the Glencoe exit, in the newer shops area of North Plains. Plenty of parking. Only be aware of the indoor daycare center next to it. Actually, that's perfect... Feed the kids froyo and drop them off all hyped up and crazy at daycare haha! = Tha FRO and YO Toppings = They have your typical vanilla, milk chocolate, strawberry shortcake, dole whip, and tart. But really love the fact that when I've been here they would rotate flavors with things like salted caramel, root beer, cake batter, coffee, and a good mix of fruity sorbet types from berries to tropical POGs. And I'm pretty sure I've seen some gelato flavors too. I mean for me, it's like a new visit every time! As for toppings, they've got plenty! From cereals to waffle bits. Boba, cheesecake, crushed candy bars, peanut butter chips, fresh chopped fruits, to mochi, to nuts, and a nice variety of sauces! You name it, it's likely there! Pricing is by the ounce, so typically with a large and small cup, I know we've spent between $15 to $20 total (with tip). Really not too bad, in my opinion. Plus i like utilizing the Square point system. = Service = The kids running the place have been welcoming and receptive. Never have I seen them mad or bored or on their phone ignoring people. They keep the toppings area clean, and I've seen them wipe down tables and mop the flooring. Sorry, I'm just observant with these things. But trust me, I've been to some nasty Menchie locations, like the one off 185th, which is simply "bleh gross!" = TL;DR = Go back to the top and READ my review! When we entered, we were immediately greeted by the lovely staff that told us that the first Wednesday of the month is "No Weigh Wednesday" where there is a flat rate for both the small ($6) and big cup ($9) as long as content of the cup stays under the rim. What a great deal! The space is bright and open and filled with accents of fun colors - very appealing for the little kiddos. They had about 10 choices for froyo flavors from your classic vanilla and chocolate to seasonal and fun ones like the spicy watermelon sorbet and I'm sure there are other flavors on rotation as well. There is a wall of dry toppings bar filled with candy, cereal, waffle cone pieces but my favorite is the "wet" toppings bar filled with fresh fruit and boba and my favorite topping of all - tiny little mochi bites! I also love that they had different colors of these too! Another surprise was the color changing spoons and the little whimsical touch of finding the toy yoda scavenger hunt when you are enjoying your yummy froyo in the shop. Mainly due to one INCREDIBLY rude employee, who i am going to assume is the manager, or something close, considering she was the only one in plain clothes, and not in a uniform or server outfit. This woman was an absolute walking nightmare. First off, we came in around 1pm. Mind you, this location closes at 3pm. So immediately, after we walked in, we stood there for a good minute or so before one of the FIVE employees, including nightmare manager lady, who were standing on, in or around the front counter ask "table for two?".. as the manager slowly grabbed our menus to hand to the server, i immediately noticed she had an attitude. Almost like she was annoyed we were coming to eat.. I shook it off, we sat down. We had our small dog in a stroller, so we had asked to eat outside. The outside area was busy. It is a sunny 70+ degree day so we asked for as much shade as we could get. The server pointed us towards a table with one half completely in the sun. We pointed to the 3-4 tables behind us that were in full shade. The server said they just closed that section. Umm ok, but, not the severs fault that the available tables were in the sun.. so, ok, no problem. We sat down. It took our server a while to get to us, but she was hustling and doing very her best. When she got to us she was gracious and very friendly. She was also very accommodating when we ask for our meal to be split to share. I wish i had gotten her name because she was the only nice part of our experience today and she was a lovely young lady. So, as we waited for our food, my mother was getting uncomfortable in the direct sun. I offered to switch seats, but she just tried to move her chair more to the side, towards the inner isle. Nightmare manager whips out of the door and VERY rudely, and loudly, barks at my 74yr old mother "mam, that's just not going to work! It's too narrow in here!" Everyone looked at us as she yelled this at my mother. At this point, most of the tables outside were emptying. So i said "could we maybe switch tables? She's just very uncomfortable in the sun." this nightmare of a human throws her hand up at us, like IN OUR FACES, and in a very annoyed voice says "you gotta give me a minute " and darts past us. We were floored. My mom and I look at each other like "huh?!?" There is now very few people left in the entire restaurant, inside or out. So it was pretty clear it was less about being busy and more that she was simply in "i want to close up and go home" mode. But hey, food service can be stressful, i get that. What i don't get is yelling at customers like they're your five year old. At this point the servers are wiping down the tables and stacking chairs. Mind you, it's only been roughly 20 min. So it's about 1:30pm.. again, they close at 3pm. But they were all clearly in shut down mode.. So when nightmare manager lady doesn't come back, we asked another server if we could move. She looks around at the empty tables, that are now 100% in the shade, and is like "ummmmmmmm, sure?" I said "great!" Got up and move to the shadiest table. Then nightmare manager whips outside again, and, as we are picking up our our silverware and water cups, this woman shoves next to my mom, who fumbling with her water glass, purse and silverware, and begins wiping the table down before we even retrieved our things. She says nothing to us. Her body language was aggressive and she was obviously very annoyed. Annnnnd that's when I called it. We hadn't even received our food. We got up and left, while I chipped "you can tell them to just throw our food away. You've been incredibly rude and we're done" and we left. This woman ruined a lovely Sunday afternoon i was spending with my mother. She was annoyed and rude the second we interacted with her. She may be stressed out, but to treat customers with such obvious distain, is unacceptable. This woman clearly can't handle the pressure.. so i HIGHLY recommend they get her out of the kitchen, LITERALLY! To this nightmare woman, i am so sorry we annoyed you with our business today. The pastries are mostly light and mildly sweet, which I personally enjoy because I'm not much of a heavy, sugar-bomb style baked goods. If you like delicate flavors, this place hits. The service is really good and the ambiance is cute. My favorite's are here: Macarons (Specifically the pistachio & rose), red bean bread, and all the pastries. I tried their coffee couple of times, and it was really good. Overall, a must try if you haven't. I don't know anyone so far who doesn't like Tous Les Jours :P

I just stick to the food now but I'm never disappointed with food. They have plenty of options to choose from (see my photos) There are even whole cakes, sandwiches, and drinks. About the staff, I've never had any bad experiences with them. They're pretty chill and quick to ring everything up. :) There's some indoor tables and chairs and also some outside. I love the honey dew, taro and strawberry milk breads. They have a cream inside and the bread is sooo soft.

It felt more like a typical Oregon roadside tourist trap with the standard "Made in Oregon" stale chocolates, granola, sweets, etc. The produce sections was relatively tiny and only about half of it looked really good. The frozen meat sections was almost entirely out of red meat, there was a tiny amount of fish and then frozen chicken too. However, the prices are tourist gift shop too. Think $10/lb for asparagus, $18/lb for chicken thighs, $10 for a dozen chicken eggs, $14/lb for ground beef, etc. I eventually just looked through their baked goods and noted the bread was date stamped that it was baked 2 days prior and priced at for a $14 loaf of sourdough. My favorite Portland bakeries all offer freshly baked (as in that same day) sourdough and other loaves for $9-$12. Anyhow, I ended up choosing some local brownies and which looked good but ended up being chalky, dry and clearly several days old. I'd love to see a larger selection of prepared foods to enjoy on the pretty back patio too. They just had a bunch of those pre-packaged sandos & wraps like one finds in an airport. Why not add a little pizza oven and or grill for weekends? Anyhow, there's much potential with such a pretty place like this one but it isnt quite there enough for me to make the 30min drive from Portland again.

When inside the large red shop, so many options of local food, beverage & handcrafted items for sale: cookies, pastries, candy, honey, fresh milk, meat, wine, coffee, sandwiches, chips & so much more. Once done wandering thru or shopping, there is the expansive views out back where one can picnic on the grass, sip some beverages or munch on goodies purchased inside. Also available are table & chairs on the side of the market structure that allows for looping back inside or towards the front parking lot. The grounds are nicely manicured with a variety of beautiful specimen plants to be in awe of. Hopefully you'll go with intent to slow down, relax, linger & enjoy this jewel of a place to visit.
