I'm not GF but one of my friends is celiac and I'm always up for trying GF bakeries with her and this was probably my favorite so far! Was pleasantly surprised and also their coffee was delicious! I had the coffee cake and my friend loves their pop tarts.

Lemon-blueberry pop tart, raspberry cream danish, Marion berry cream danish, strawberry sweetie pie. So much fruit!!! So good!!!

I wanted something special for a dear friend who is celiac, and I remember passing this place a number of times, but never had a reason to stop by. What a silly reason not to stop by this amazing place!!! Going into this bakery, one thing that caught my eye was the signage. You can't miss this place and it's cute! Walking in, I was immediately greeted by the pleasant staff. Being my first time, I asked what's good? Another silly question... everything was good! From their savory to sweet selections. I chose some savory items and a lot of sweet ones as well. One thing I will say, and I've been to a couple gluten free bakeries in the area. This place does the crust right! It's flakey and crunchy in all the right ways. Another thing I will say is what I chose had a load of fruit in them. Not syrupy or gooey, it was simply fruit. It was refreshing. Not overly sweet, just right! Needles to say, the selections were a huge hit! We will definitely be back for more! Well done Hold the Wheat!!!

The bakery is quite eye catching with a bright orange exterior. Once you enter, you are greeted by a whimsical retro-inspired decor. We were there on a Saturday morning and it was PACKED! As goods were flying out off of the shelves, I was a bit worried that they might sell out pastries! The good news is that they kept bringing out more to calm my food anxiety. My friend, the reason we came, has a serious gluten allergy and is allergic to eggs and nightshades. The only item she could have was the mushroom pastry and she really enjoyed it. I got the lemon & cream danish and an egg and sausage hot pocket, and liked them both. The hot pocket crust was hot and crunchy, while the lemon danish was tangy. Both were delicious and I enjoyed them with a cappuccino. I wish there was more indoor seating for a party of 3 or more. There was only one booth and it was taken. So we sat outside and got drizzled by the afternoon shower. Thank goodness the weather is still nice enough, but it won't be fun when winter comes. Also the pastries was quite pricy and the cost added up fast. I understand that speciality pastries usually cost more, but it does make it harder to justify frequent visits as I do not have any allergies or intolerances. Overall, it's a cute bakery which offers delicious gluten free pastries. I'd recommend it, especially for people who have gluten sensitivity.

I've driven past this gluten-free bakery countless times without realizing what 'hold the wheat' meant until I finally stopped in. I felt so silly. I was pleasantly surprised to find delicious, flavorful baked goods that don't taste like cardboard like previous gluten-free things I have ate. The Pop Tarts and hot veggie quiche were particularly amazing! However, I noticed that a lot of customers were dining in, but there wasn't an option to order on plates. This resulted in unnecessary waste from all the takeout boxes. I suggest offering trays with paper liners to reduce waste and help the planet.

Loved my oatmeal sandwich frosting cookie! It wasn't overly sweet and the cookie tasted great and you wouldn't have guessed it was gluten free. They also have lots of savory options to pick from for breakfast or lunch. The counter lady was friendly and efficient even with the coffee and hot chocolate.

loved by everyone in our party of seven, gluten-free and non-gluten-free alike. i find the prices very reasonable given the high price of GF flour and for how filling the items are! the quiches looked kinda small, but i was so full--almost too much to then eat my peach pie! that was really yummy too not a lot of places to sit, but a few if you're lucky

A neat newer place in the Beaverton area that has both sweet and savory treats. I believe they serve gluten-free items. I ordered a few things to try and bring back to share. The pepperoni pizza pocket was good. The Expresso Martini cupcake was a bit too sweet for me, but did have a good flavor to it. The people working here were super friendly and patient with me while I was trying to figure out what to get.

Amazing food for celiac (or non celiac) people. Super cute inside (limited seating and it is super busy). Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They use mostly rice flour in all of their baking.

    Chocolate cake

Deliciously savory, salty, Herby, somehow buttery mushroom pastry that was delicious hot from the case. That alone is reason to come back. Their savory options are abundant and look phenomenal. The chocolate cake was good too, but wasn't as rich as I hoped. I'd go savory again when I go back.

Finally a business that may survive in this location! While this should be a destination for all those that have celiac or are gluten-free, the pastries, cookies and bread is so good, everyone will enjoy it.

This is the best gluten free bakery I've been to. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing. I would recommend to anyone.

One of the main reasons we wanted to do a party here was that there was a party room and we loved the idea of each child getting to decorate their own cake. We had 11 kids at her party and half got fetti flavor cakes to decorate and the other half had chocolate. They also offer a vegan chocolate option and a gluten sensitive fetti option with no up-charge. The party host was awesome in explaining the process and keeping the kids engaged. We opted to start with apron decorating ($3 per child) for the first 15-20 mins. We also selected for there to be fresh popcorn popped for the kids to eat. All decorators were give a cake, white frosting, 2 other frosting colors (preselected by the birthday girl), 2 fondant colors (preselected by the birthday girl) and 2 sprinkle options (preselected by the birthday girl). All the kids had a blast decorating their cakes. Afterwards the kids had a lot of fun doing photo sessions with the picture booth in the party room. All pictures were sent via a link to me and I was able to share with all the parents post party. We opted to bring in pizza from Costco for the kids which worked out great since it's so close by. I sent a picture of an example of a cake that my daughter liked and Jojo nailed the design. All kids went home with an apron and a custom cake they designed. The party host was great at making sure everyone got a cake box with their name on it. I can't say enough great things about the party at Cake Hoopla. I would highly recommend having your kid's birthday party there.
