Turkey sandwich, chicken salad, steak sandwich

The turkey sandwich.... WOW. This is the best sandwich I have ever had. The bread is so soft and warm. The actual shop is so welcoming and cute I could spend hours here. Will 100% come again this was the best lunch spot ever. Also get oatmeal raisin cookies. We had to literally get more they were that good.

The best pie shop I have been to! They have amazing pies and lattes. They are baked daily. They also have jams, cheeses, handmade kitchen cooking utensils (spoons, cutting boards) and children toys. Every time I go to visit family we visit the shop. It is definitely a must! You won't regret it.

Excellent cinnamon roll with thin dough layers, not too sweet, perfect spice and soft frosting, moist dough - goes down perfect with coffee and cream at the sunny storefront window.

Love this restaurant. These crêpes were a breakfast special, but I wish they were on the menu year round because they're so delicious! The service and ambiance is also amazing. This is a must try if you're in the area

New menu at the Pie Safe

Every time you walk in the door it's like you're walking into a different era of peaceful, small town charm. The quiet gift room will steal your attention for hours with all its locally homemade goods and crafts. In the dining area you will find shelves of homemade jams, jellies, pickled goods, teas and honey. The menu changes with the seasons but a few good staples are the lattes, homemade kombucha, cheese pizza and fruit smoothies. Excellent breakfast burritos and avocado toast will make for a great weekday breakfast and on the weekends they have specials which are very special!! You can always call ahead and place a to-go order if you're in a hurry!

I moved to Deary in 2009, but moved away in 2015. Just this past year I moved back here and in my absence The Pie Safe has opened! What an asset it is to the local community. I honestly have not had anything on the menu that I didn't like, but my favorites are. Breakfast menu: Breakfast burrito Pancakes and sausage Biscuits and gravy Lunch: ALL pizzas! The parking fills up pretty fast and the lines can get long, but I promise it's worth the wait.

Stopped in for breakfast and got the avocado toast with an egg with some earl gray tea. The presentation and atmosphere is clean and quaint. The food is good

I'm here once a year and always make the 30 mile drive to eat at the Pie Safe. The turkey croissants are amazing, but so is everything else!

I am happy to say that it is under new ownership, has been completely redecorated, (adorable now) and the pizza now is quite good. Also, the pastries are AMAZING! The should. The owner has a culinary background in baking and it shows! I first tried a mini Pizza Pretzel. This was a small baked pretzel with cheese and pepperoni on it served with a side of marinara sauce. The sauce had a bright fresh taste which perfectly complimented the pretzel. We ordered the "On the Veg of your seat" pizza which was sauce, cheese, sautéed sweet mild onion, bell pepper, black olive, and mushrooms. The crust was thin and crispy and golden brown. We enjoyed the crunch of the crust and there was the optimal amount of cheese. But enough of the pizza, let's talk PASTRY! We got the banana vanilla cupcake. Start with a yummy banana cupcake, add a banana cream pudding core, and top it off with an incredibly smooth vanilla icing and a vanilla wafer on top. My goodness. It was GOOD! This is going to be a regular stop from now on!

The owners are the kindest family and our kiddos love all the events they hold, specifically the Harry Potter and Star Wars themed ones.

As we came to the restaurant before 4 PM, the only things really available were salads and pizzas,…read moreso I decided to get the Funghi Pizza. First, we started with the Spinach Artichoke Dip, and I have to say this was really good The bread pieces were plentiful and really well-coated with oil, which made them pretty enjoyable to eat on their own, but especially so when the dip was included. This dip had a lot of cheese - and yet it didn't taste excessively so; rather maintain a great balance between the vegetables and the cheese in its mixture to provide a perfect complement for the bread Moving on to the main dish, I thought the pizza was pretty fantastic I'm a pretty big fan of cream/alfredo based pizza bases rather than red/tomato based ones, so by default I'm partial to this, but I'm just really impressed by the quality of the pizza here. Probably my favorite pizza taste-wise I've had is a alfredo-based pan pizza from Dominos, and while I think that tastes better due to amount of oil/butter used in that one, I think that this pizza may have the best combination of taste and quality I've seen. This manages to taste really good despite not including that amount of oil, which indicates its high quality The mushrooms are really good - they're cooked well and seem to be marinated in this sauce that's a bit of a mix between wine and tomato juice, which coats each one with a solid amount of flavor. The garlic shines through here as an omnipresent figure as well. There isn't much cheese in this pizza but what is there is pretty good - and mixes really well with the cream base to produce something that's really good tasting Also, the egg on the middle spread the yolk throughout the bottom of each slice, which tasted fantastic I do have a couple downsides with the pizza, though For one, it's a bit too thin. This leads it to be almost cracker-like, as there's really no depth to each bite. I recognize this is the traditional Italian style, but it's just a bit too thin for me - I could've used more cream / cheese with each bite, along with just more dough This results in the pizza not being very filling - which is a good thing in some respects as you can finish the entire thing without feeling stuffed - but it'll also lead you to being hungrier quickly later The second thing is that the crust was super chewy and hard - it was actually not easy to get through as my jaw would hurt halfway through finishing the crust of each piece. The price here is pretty reasonable (around 20) , and the portion size is pretty large, albeit not overly filling
