This is a great little spot! I was surprised they weren't packed on a beautiful Friday night, but they are off LA Center's main drag... so maybe it's still a bit of a secret. We were invited to order up front, were given a number, and found ourselves a table. I'm not sure how long the pizza took, but it arrived at the table as hot as can be! The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that it didn't exactly have the ingredients as described on the menu. This was by no means a deal breaker, and the pizza was still delicious (especially that crust OMG). I'm definitely coming back - they have plenty of yummy-looking items on the menu, and the "Hawk" alfredo-based pizza is my next choice.

Hidden in a neighborhood in La Center, we heard there was this great pizza joint. I'm so glad we came and checked it out. The pizza is amazing! They even include dipping sauce for the crust. We had the Hawk pizza which is a Chicken Alfredo with a bunch of goodies. A good Hazy IPA is always a must have beer to have on tap, Phriem Hazy IPA hit the spot. We will definitely be back

I would say this is about on par with Papa Murphy's except they cook it, charge way more, and the tiny pizza is about enough food for 1 hungry adult and a small child. The crust would be okay if not paper thin in the middle and giant on the outside. It could stand to be cooked more, as it had a yeasty flavor and was a bit doughy on the inside of the edge. With that said, I am happy that they offer vegan cheese. Hopefully they'll offer a vegan protein some day. The amount of veggies on there was decent, and way better than the pizza place that used to occupy the same building. This is a typical restaurant that relies heavily on animal meat for flavor. Pretty basic overall, other than the fancy 'braided' edge, which does add a nice texture. Will return if the price goes down or the pizza is larger, and if more of the dough is positioned UNDER the toppings. I won't hold my breath; they seem to have enough customers... So if you eat animal flesh, and are a basic bro with money to burn, this is your place. :D

Lounge area, yummy pizza

I am obsessed with pizza, knots, Italian food & this is the BEST EVER! I am literally traveling from LA and have tried all kinds. 10/10 Recommend service and food!

Black, hard crust on pepperoni pizza with too much crust...

Umm ya. Tried this place (got it to-go) for the 1st time and pizza was tough and basically black on the bottom - like I could literally peel OFF the bad bottom layer. They weren't even busy to justify overcooked pizza.. Crust idea was good but honestly way too much crust to pizza. Not coming back.

La Center is very happy right now! The pizza is delicious, the crust is amazing! The building itself is beautiful with brickwork in the parking lot, and the inside is spotless. It is open and airy and feels welcoming for families. The place has a liquor license and offers all the trimmings for their delicious hand folded pizza. We got the Beaver, and it was amazing! The prices are totally fair, and the staff were all enthused and helpful. This place is going to take over the center, and make me fat in the process. And I will be grateful every bite of the way.

The vacation, pizza so good it makes no sense

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Bunnies in Ridgefield after being pulled in by the playful mural…read moreand bold signage outside. The name alone made us curious, and once we realized they served pizza, we were in. Inside, the space opens up to a medium-sized dining room with a few bar-top seats and a main counter where you order, grab a number, and seat yourself. We asked the staff for a pizza recommendation and were pointed straight to the sausage and peppers pie, made with Italian sausage and Mama Lil's peppers. Sold. We ordered a large, plus a Caesar salad, a glass of house white wine, and an IPA. They also serve liquor, which is a nice bonus. The menu leans Italian with pizzas, pastas, salads, and a meatball sandwich that immediately caught my eye, especially after seeing the table next to us order it. It looked very good. The Caesar salad came out first. The dressing was delicious, the croutons were solid, but my one critique is the presentation. It was served as whole romaine leaves, so you have to cut it yourself if you want a normal bite. Not a dealbreaker, just not my favorite style. Flavor-wise though, it was a good Caesar. Then the pizza arrived and--visually--wow. Gorgeous crust, great color, and toppings that looked perfectly balanced. But when we tried to lift a slice, reality hit. The center crust was rolled super thin and got weighed down by the toppings, making it too soft to hold up. You basically have to slide it onto your plate and eat it with a fork until you get closer to the crust. Once you hit that halfway point, though, it's fantastic. The crust edge was perfect. Flavor-wise, the pizza really delivered. The sausage was rich and savory, the Mama Lil's peppers added a great tangy heat, and there were dollops of what tasted like ricotta that tied everything together beautifully. We also added mushrooms and hot honey. You wouldn't know there was a structural issue just by looking at it. That said, I don't think I'd order the pizza again without trying something else first. I'm very curious about the meatball sandwich or a pasta dish to see how those stack up. I also learned Bunnies has a sister restaurant, Little Conejo, which I've been to a few times but haven't always loved. This spot feels like it has a lot of potential, and I'd definitely come back. I just want to be honest about the execution right now, because the flavors are there.

If I could eat here everyday I would. The food is absolutely AMAZING!!!! Everything is so fresh and…read morethe quality is top tier and it shows. A staple every time I come here is the wedge salad. I could eat the whole thing. Then sun dried tomatoes are just so flavorful. It's the best. Today, I got the Gabagool pizza with the hot honey. Seriously, WOW. Even my husband said that it was THE BEST pizza he has ever had in his life. I know it's a bold claim, but it was truly that good. We also got the rigatoni, which my kids completely smashed. They absolutely loved it. ***Of all the pasta dishes, this is by far hands down the best one. The fettuccine Alfredo pasta was a bit too heavy and fell a little short of flavor. We've also had the carbonara, same thing. If the pancetta was a little more crispy and little less butter it would be good. All the staff is really nice and friendly. *Only thing I am not a fan of is the seating. People sitting on the big table won't allow you to sit in the middle or they give a major side eye. So you couldn't even sit there without feeling unwelcomed. The outdoor seating doesn't have heaters. The taller bar tables with the bar stools aren't safe for younger kids. 1 person was taking up the corner table which could fit a family of 5. It can get frustrating, and often times I don't go here because of the seating situation. With that being said I still absolutely recommend eating here. It is worth the drive from Portland or even Kalama. It is a 100% must go to. They only serve pizza after 3:00pm.

When you walk in, the check-out counter is to the left featuring local baked goods, gelato, etc. There is some seating to the right with some really cool sliced log tables, and the restroom is in the corner of that particular area. The mid-section has shelves of specialty and convenience items, with stairs leading to a second floor which we did not check out. On either side are coolers, produce, and other grocery staples. The deli sits in the back. We loved the overall look of the place--rustic with a bit of an industrial touch, totally our style. The deli menu board behind the counter lists breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, and pizza. They also serve coffee. We weren't in the mood for a deli sandwich but did see they have been awarded best sandwich for quite a few years which is cool! When we saw the pizza prices, we did a double take. A 12-inch cheese pizza starts at $19.89 and goes up to $25.89 for a supreme. Gluten-free adds $4+, and focaccia crust adds $6+. While we appreciate good sourdough (and they use Kalama Sourdough, which has a great local story), the prices felt a bit steep for a 12-inch pizza. So we decided to eat elsewhere. That said, this was still a really cool stop. The shop has character, local charm, and a great aesthetic. We'd definitely come back for coffee or to browse again next time we're in the area. We are even open to trying the pizza and seeing if it worth the price.

However I recently decided to try them for a cheat day. Called ahead on the drive to have a medium pepperoni. Interesting they have a drive thru window behind the building. Service was easy and friendly enough. Pizza smelled great. Pretty standard size. Visually no complaints. I've seen others complain about burnt crust (that's literally what a real pizza oven does lol). Anyway, it tasted good. Kind of an average experience. Not truly lacking, not phenomenal. Despite being regular gluten I didn't feel bloated/sick eating it. I would definitely consider ordering again. My issue is the price though. Most pizza spots have specials. You literally have dominos across the street selling 2 large pizzas for like $10-15. A medium pepperoni was almost $30. That seems like what a large or XL should be for a pepperoni or combo pizza. I like that it was semi convenient that they have a drive through and you can pick it up after running errands and such. But for $30 I'd rather have a pizza delivered. MODS pizza down the road would be pizza and salad combo for the same price. Idk. If they considered a weekday special or something it might make us order more often. For now I'm glad I tried it to know what is offered to support local spots. But definitely not my go-to due to cost and lacking cauli options.
