Podunk is the local pizza place in La Center. We heard lots about the place and decided to try it out for the first time. I'm looking forward to trying their world famous crust and delicious toppings. There is a bit of a wait time for your pizza but it's worth it. A large is what old schoolers call a medium. We ordered two. The pizza was nice and hot. We ordered the Wild West and paradise pizza, essentially meal lovers and Canadian bacon and pineapple. Both really tasty. The ratio of cheese, to meat, to crust was perfect. Every bite was perfect. The crust was buttery and perfectly cooked. They include a marinara dipping sauce for the crust. If you're a crust person you'll love their crust. All in all it's wonderful restaurant with a family vibe. It's like everybody knows everybody. We'll definitely be back. LET'S GO PODUNK read more

I love coming here with my family! Food is top-notch !!! & Service is always Amazing. The owner is so personable & very hands-on with the staff & running operations! The live music/open mic (Every Wednesday at 6PM) is so nice for a little date night out with my fiancé! The host of the open mic has the best energy & music choices! He is also very hands-on with the youth in the La Center Community & helps out all the kids who have the courage to get up and perform ! The establishment is kid-friendly !!! The service was good and the restaurant itself is ok, even if it is a bit sparse with an odd setup (couches......). The food is mediocre at best. The mozzarella sticks were ok'ish but a bit less than fresh out of the fryer warm, which was odd since we were the only customers there and it was just after they opened. The marina served with them was ok, but also severed cold, which is a bit of a pet peeve of mine. The pizza (a medium Pacific Hwy) was ok. The toppings were fine but the crust, particularly from the edge in, was way too thin making it difficult to eat without having all the toppings fall off. The crust itself was mediocre. My wife had a Wildcat Grinder and she liked it. The French fries were very good. So with all the above it would've been a 3-3.5, but what drags them down to 2 stars is the price.......over $60. That is just WAY too much for what amounts to very middle of the road pizza/food. read more

Fantastic pizza, great beer, exceptional service. Following an outdoor event we reconvened at Podunk to enjoy pizza and a special beer brewed by Exit 16 Brewery. They were ready for us and the space was perfect with tables surrounding a comfortable seating area with couches and comfy chairs. The pizza was very good- some of the best I've had in the PacNW for sure. I judge a pizza by the crust and this was perfect- crispy bite, lots of flavor. And it was served so hot you had to give it a minute- so yummy! We had a couple different versions but my favorite was the mixed pepper. We enjoyed an Exit 16 beer on tap- the Restore the River light IPA- wow, that's a good beer! I'll be sure to stop back in to this gem of a spot often. read more

This is a great little spot! I was surprised they weren't packed on a beautiful Friday night, but they are off LA Center's main drag... so maybe it's still a bit of a secret. We were invited to order up front, were given a number, and found ourselves a table. I'm not sure how long the pizza took, but it arrived at the table as hot as can be! The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that it didn't exactly have the ingredients as described on the menu. This was by no means a deal breaker, and the pizza was still delicious (especially that crust OMG). I'm definitely coming back - they have plenty of yummy-looking items on the menu, and the "Hawk" alfredo-based pizza is my next choice. read more

Hidden in a neighborhood in La Center, we heard there was this great pizza joint. I'm so glad we came and checked it out. The pizza is amazing! They even include dipping sauce for the crust. We had the Hawk pizza which is a Chicken Alfredo with a bunch of goodies. A good Hazy IPA is always a must have beer to have on tap, Phriem Hazy IPA hit the spot. Super over priced small pizzas. Half the thing is crust. People really have no standards anymore. Don't waste your money

I would say this is about on par with Papa Murphy's except they cook it, charge way more, and the tiny pizza is about enough food for 1 hungry adult and a small child. The crust would be okay if not paper thin in the middle and giant on the outside. It could stand to be cooked more, as it had a yeasty flavor and was a bit doughy on the inside of the edge. With that said, I am happy that they offer vegan cheese. Hopefully they'll offer a vegan protein some day. The amount of veggies on there was decent, and way better than the pizza place that used to occupy the same building. This is a typical restaurant that relies heavily on animal meat for flavor. Pretty basic overall, other than the fancy 'braided' edge, which does add a nice texture. Will return if the price goes down or the pizza is larger, and if more of the dough is positioned UNDER the toppings. I won't hold my breath; they seem to have enough customers... So if you eat animal flesh, and are a basic bro with money to burn, this is your place. :D read more

La Center is very happy right now! The pizza is delicious, the crust is amazing! The building itself is beautiful with brickwork in the parking lot, and the inside is spotless. It is open and airy and feels welcoming for families. The place has a liquor license and offers all the trimmings for their delicious hand folded pizza. We got the Beaver, and it was amazing! The prices are totally fair, and the staff were all enthused and helpful. This place is going to take over the center, and make me fat in the process. I am giving this place a one star because of how awful the management is. The last 2 times we've been here, they've messed up our order and it took over an hour for them to fix it. This past time I emailed the owner to let her know what happened. She responded defensive saying that I order incorrectly.... I honestly couldn't believe it? I've never had an owner say something like that to me. Every other time I've ever complain to a manager, they've apologized and refunded immediately with no questions asked. When I asked the Podunk owner for a refund for the pizza, she never responded. I felt she could have at least been polite and said no, but instead she just ignored my email. The pizza is always cold and doesn't taste great for how expensive it is. I highly recommend going to Ridgefield for pizza! Even though we are local, it's worth the drive to avoid eating here. Expect long wait times, your pizza to be made incorrectly and overall just mediocre taste. read more

My my my!!!! What a gem this place is. I'm not a huge fan of pizza but this has totally changed my mind. When I first ordered from them I was a little reluctance because who wants to pay good money for pizza and it not taste good right? When I first took a bite of this pizza I instantly fell in love and can't get enough of it. The pizza is not greasy and the crust has a little sweet taste to it...I can eat the crust all by itself. Food is good, i got the dough knots. It's 5 garlic bread knots with just the right amount of seasoning and you get a lot of extra marinara to dip pizza in. Just had our second visit and my only regret is that it's not closer to home. This pizza satisfies everyone in my family, even the extremely picky 8 yr old. The Spudder is our favorite. I was skeptical when I first saw the size of the pizzas but they are so loaded with ingredients, they are very filling. Two pizzas would feed three adults and a child, but we like variety so we get three and take home leftovers. The service is so thoughtful, you can tell everyone working cares about your experience. From sharing their knowledge when ordering, to serving and checking back without hovering... A+! Lastly, inside the restaurant has games, lots of large tables great for groups, and is kept comfortable. Outside has plenty of picnic tables to enjoy the nice weather. Service doesn't slip if you're outside either. Bottom line, we stumbled across this place are so happy we did! read more

I took my mother out for pizza tonight - 3/14/24. I have been to Podunk before and enjoyed the food and the experience. We walked in, only to find all the tables reserved...all...of...them. There are a couple of couches in the center of the room, but this isn't a coffee house - there's no way you can eat pizza sitting on a sofa with other people you don't know. If this is a regular occurance for them, like a school athletic team night, they should post this on their website, or at least put a sign on the door. I am a La Center local. I like to support local businesses. This was a very unfriendly experience. I hope they remedy this so it doesn't happen to anyone else. read more
