Loaded fries- lots of Serrano peppers and sauce on top. Not much of the other stuff Valentine sparkling cocktail for 2 was very tasty!

Great cocktails! Drinks are definitely on the pricier side but tasty. The vibes are nice. Like an elevated rustic lodge. To be fair, we only got the loaded fires for food. So I think I need to order an entree for a true thorough food review. From what we saw, portions are small for the price. Fries were okay. Pickled serranos were very yummy and packed a good punch. Can't really review the pork because there was barely any. The popcorn served at the bar was delicious, a good curry seasoning. Overall, I will definitely come again to try an entree and enjoy a good craft cocktail.

Another treasure nestled in Lake Stevens, this spot is truly cherished, much like its sister establishment, LJ's Bistro. I love frequenting this place for its delectable happy hour offerings and dinner selections. It's the perfect spot to unwind with friends and savor some fantastic food. The servers here are incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when it comes to suggesting food and cocktails. Their recommendations always enhance the dining experience. If you're ever in Lake Stevens, be sure to pay this place a visit. They open at 4pm every Tuesday thru Saturday.

Very nice ambience! Went on a Thursday evening for some drinks and food and got a table for two easily (maybe around 6ish PM). They have quite some appetizers on the menu which we made tried and all were good! A nice beer to go with the appetizers. There was only one parking lot left when we reached. Not sure if they have any other parking, but the front didnt have many spots. So pls plan accordingly. Coming to the main course, we were charged extra $4 for swapping fries with mashed potatoes when we ordered steak. We would definitely go to this place once again and it did have good reviews, good food and service worth mentioning.

We usually head toward Seattle to eat, but we wanted something local as we were a bit tired and made our way to the Pines, as I've read good things. We ordered the cream of mushroom soup. It was delicious, although serving size was quite small. Didn't realize it came with this bread, but it was delicious. It had some sort of French onion tasting spread. The burger was amazing, very flavorful. I chose the salad to get some greens in. But it could use some work for sure. It tasted similar to eating raw broccoli. Maybe they could add some cheese or sautéed onions to balance it out? We were at the bar and our server was super nice. They kept her super busy, so they must be short staffed as she was taking bar tables and tables on the floor. We felt like it was hard to ask for water or other things we needed because no one was coming around to our area of the bar. There was one guy doing drinks, but he was only doing that and we were unable to get his attention either. Will I come back? Maybe. Probably won't be my first choice as the food is a little pricey for the serving sizes you get. Decent experience overall.

Place was really good. The service was good. Would definitely come again. The pot pie was delicious. My husband said the burger was good as well

The parking situation needs some serious help! Hopefully the construction going on around it will end soon. It's very dark inside but looks nice. Hightop tables, bar area and booth style. The salad was great, simple and had decent flavors. The cocktails were okay, not my favorite. The steak in the picture is what I got and seemed like a small amount to me but it tasted really good. I will come back and try to sit outside next time... if I can find parking.

Confession time. I met my husband at this location when it was LJs. This spot holds sentimental value for me. That being said, I don't imagine we will be back. We stopped on a Saturday night and ordered a Ploughman's Plate, and Mussels with two cocktails. He ordered a "Let's get Fizzical" and I ordered a dirty Gin Martini. They use a beautiful purple gin. It's pretty but not delicious. The plate had very odd pairings. Hammock with big pieces of fat and two cheese selections along with a pickle relish and cranberry chutney. Since I don't eat carbohydrates (Go Keto) I skipped the bread. Meh. The mussels... I should preface by saying that I don't love mussels. But these... Had a strange smell and we're so incredibly salty that I couldn't finish them. There were huge grains of salt at the bottom of the bowl of sauce which made the sauce almost inedible. Like I said, I really loved when it was LJs and I really wanted to like it. But it looks like I will stick with the new LJs.

We were celebrating with my husband, our two young children, and my in-laws, so we were looking forward to a special brunch together. Our server, Shami, did not make us feel welcomed from the start. There was no introduction, greeting, or acknowledgment that it was Father's Day. The interaction felt very rushed and impersonal. When ordering mimosas, she brought the champagne to the table and asked whether we wanted to serve ourselves or have her do it, which felt unusual and left us unsure of what was expected. Throughout the meal, we consistently thanked her when food and drinks were brought out, but our comments were met with silence. There was little to no engagement, warmth, or hospitality during the service. While we understand everyone can have an off day, the overall experience felt cold and inattentive, especially for a special occasion. The food was good, and because we've had positive experiences here in the past, we're hopeful this was an isolated incident. However, service plays a big role in the dining experience, and this visit left us disappointed.

We love the family friendly atmosphere and the always friendly waitresses. The food is consistently well-made and delicious. We've been here more times than I can count and have never had a less than great experience. I'm O B S E S S E D with their homemade soups. They are to die for. Best clam chowder and fish in chips in town, too! Better than any seafood restaurant I've been to in this state, way better than Ivars. And every time we go, they have a new soup to try! Which is awesome, but also sometimes frustrating because I've had several that I'd love to have again (Mexican chicken noodle and creamy mushroom chicken live rent free in my head) But they never seem to offer the special soups on any kind of rotation. Can we get a soup calendar on the website?! Not even joking. The number of times I've nearly rear ended people while driving by trying to catch the soup of the day on the sign outside is a little embarrassing. I love this place. The only things I could suggest to make this place even better are minor. The iced tea is not great. Tastes more like tap water than tea. And I wish they had a kids steak option on the kids menu because my kids always want some of our steak. Also, I wish they would turn the music down slightly during the family friendly hours. It gets quite loud. But other than those tiny detail, Hawkeyes is my kinda place!

Our bill was around $65 for two beers (with the $2 off Thursday special), the calamari, and the 3-piece halibut. Just overpriced for what it was.
