Very fun atmosphere. However. they supposedly didn't have my card when I returned to pay my tab AFTER I gave them my card for several beers. I even gave them my name and last initial for the card. They showed me a few cards and I denied them saying they weren't my card. Thankfully, the banking company allowed me to lock the card immediately after. Let it be known that either the company running this bar is conducting a racket, or that the bartenders are not aware enough to provide the customers' their cards when requested after providing first and last name. Please read this review not just the star rating. This is a small and well used bar. This isn't a fancy bar with $20 drinks. It's a friendly atmosphere, cheap drinks, well used, horrible bathrooms and even the occasional unhoused person will come in. I use to love coming here, good drinks cash only, who wouldn't. That old bartender lady seems to always have an attitude for no reason. I'm understanding, if I'm in someone's seat but we checked with the people around us and they had said no one was seating there. She came up to us and made it seem like I had done something disrespectful for sitting in front of her bar where she claims people where sitting when we had already checked. It's nicknamed the dirty bird for a reason. It's a no-frills dive bar. Other than 90% men and 10% women, it's my go-to place to unwind. People are quite friendly including the bartenders. This bar seems like the one people go to get a quick cheap drink BEFORE going to other bars and also the last bar to go to when other bars close early. If I were the owner I'd give drink specials to ladies and maybe that will help balance the sausage-fest ratio. Great for playing pool. Bartenders ignore you and can not make a simple cocktail correctly. Then when asked to correct it the older lady took the drink and never replaced it after it was paid for. Whoever the old lady is that works behind the bar is a see you next Tuesday by all means. My friends and I walked in last night, and we started playing pool. Almost immediately this lady walks up like I said super super mean super rude asks all four of us for our ID (like she should but if you've been to the dirty bird, you know that they don't ID you) and then we ask for a drink, and the lady couldn't even flag us down to let us know that our drinks were ready if we weren't even looking in that general direction we wouldn't have even known that our drinks were done. Apparently a popular place on a Saturday night, but why I'm not sure. The place is understaffed, if not for an off-duty bartender who was there on her own time, i would have never have gotten a drink. The place has pool tables, but the felt is torn and really thin, don't even bother trying to put English on a ball. Lastly, and the true deal breaker, is, the selection of music played on the jukebox, (so admittedly, my problem is with the attending crowd i guess). 98 % was extreme heavy rage rock. Apparently someone put $50 of this crap in the jukebox prior to my arrival, because none of my songs were ever played. To exacerbate this, the sound system was over-driven and very distorted. Ah, the Dirty Bird.... Well... It's a dive. No frills, no bull shit, cheap drinks. They have billiards, shuffle board and a juke box. They also have little machines with random games on it, and if you play with the screen enough times, it gives you free games!!! The only thing that keeps me from even going here is the fact that they only take CASH. I've had good times here especially when you don't want to deal with the bullshit from the boiler room. You'll see people of all ages here, so you'll see a bunch of people mixed in here.. old people, Bros and their hoez, hipsters, you name it.
