Best cinnamon roll in Arizona!! Change my mind! It is always fresh and consistent in flavor! You will spend $10 for it however it can feed 3-4 people.

Have not been to the Pinon Cafe since it was called the Knotty Pine Cafe many years ago! Had a nice breakfast, chicken fried steak with home made biscuit. Order came with two eggs and home fried potatoes. Friend enjoyed the corn beef hash. Service as good. Ambience is pure country. Coffee was hot. All good here!

Has a great time after some snurr boarding (snow boarding) a friend in town recommended this cafe and we loved it! The burgers are really good and the fries are crunchy and taste like everything else they throw in the fryer (which I like) I do have regrets not getting the pancakes like my fellow yelp elite Jon but the biscuits and gravy were ok. (I would not get them again) Oooo also side note sometimes they use canned items so if you're not sure if you want to order something they can get you a sample. I wanted a soup but was a little cautious and got a sample thank goodness I did because I think it was Campbells a little dressed up lol Regardless the food is good the staff is welcoming and happy. I wish I had room for a cinni but I'll have to come back next time I'm in town.

Perfectly homestyle breakfast food! Portion sizes were huge for the price point, and everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. My biggest regret is not trying one of their GIANT cinnamon rolls that they were frosting as we were leaving.

The service was fast friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. Everything was hot and fresh. The Elvis was amazing. Not too sweet. The atmosphere was cozy country. John 3:16 on the bottom of the menus. Everyone working there was friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring. The cashier gave of great recommendations on places to visit in town and things to do nearby. We will definitely return whenever we are in the Payson area.

Potatoes and yogurt bowl

We basically made the trip to Payson solely because I saw someone on instagram post about the amazing cinnamon roll. And I'm sure glad we did wow that was delicious! There was a hit of a wait on a Saturday morning but it wasn't too bad, like 15 minutes. Service was great even though they were pretty busy. Everyone was very nice to our almost 16 month old! Cute and very small town ish in here. In an old building but very well kept. We ordered the cinnamon roll, I got the yogurt bowl with a side of potatoes to share with my son, and my husband got the eggs with toast, hash browns, and bacon. My was impressed with the amount of bacon they served him and how crispy it was. My yogurt bowl had yummy fresh fruit on it and the country potatoes were perfectly seasoned. The cinnamon roll was the star of the show, massive with a delicious cinnamon gooey center. They also serve locally roasted coffee and my husband enjoyed a couple cups! We had a ton of food and our total was $40 which is incredibly reasonable. Cute and delicious spot to visit in the area for sure!

Denver omelette

Visited Friday morning and we were seated right away! Friendly staff and our drink were brought out super quick. I got their Denver omelette and my husband got the meat omelette. On the side we got the gravy and biscuits. VERY cheesy omelettes, I will say I did like my husband's food a lot more than mine. The slices of the bell pepper were pretty big. The coffee and orange juice are okay. We spent about $40 for the both of us, not including tip. The pinion cafe is decorated vibrantly with lots to gaze at and read, lots of fun signage. Service was nice, we were in and out quickly. Thanks for a great breakfast!

Biscuits and gravy with an egg on top cooked your way and a side of hash browns.

Quaint, cozy cafe, with great service. The food is simple home cookin. We enjoyed our first brunch visit while visiting Payson. It's within walking distance from my dads house. I will definitely be back.

Green chile burger with onion rings!!

After our hike at Horton creek i decided to check yelp for lunch recommendations. This place had really great reviews and it did not disappoint. The owner sat us and was very welcoming. We talked to her about it being the first place in Payson and almost 75 years old. Food was so delicious, i ordered the green chile burger and hubby ordered a Rueben! Very attentive wait staff and check was not bad at all.

Another great meet up at Grotto Cafe in the Red Truck Plaza. Met my gals for lunch…read more Two of us arrived early. We went ahead and ordered. We were lucky to score an outdoor table. The orders were two half & half orders of chicken salad sandwiches and strawberry feta salad, an egg salad sandwich, a blueberry scone with iced coffee and a bagel with chicken apple sausage, eggs and cheese. Service is quick. Loved the bagel which is a breakfast meal that is served until noon. You really can't go wrong here with any order. We had a lively conversation. We stayed outside for 1-1/2 hours. Time flies around good company. Shared parking on site.

The first time I stopped in for a glass of wine just to check it out -- they were about to close, but the staff was so kind and welcoming. I even saw a roadrunner on the patio, which honestly felt like the perfect Arizona welcome moment I went back yesterday after a 4-mile hike at Jewel of Cave Creek and had a turkey, avocado, and bacon sandwich with chips -- simple but absolutely delicious. Fresh, satisfying, and exactly what I needed after being out on the trails. Prices are very reasonable too. The vibe here is what makes it special. It's busy but relaxed, cozy but open, and you order at the counter which keeps everything easy and casual. They offer coffee, wine, pastries, sandwiches, salads, and more -- perfect for a quick bite or a chill afternoon. I especially love the setting surrounded by the little Cave Creek shops. It has such a peaceful, welcoming energy and is a great spot to sit outside, enjoy lunch, and soak in the Arizona sunshine. Whether you're hiking nearby or just exploring the area, this is a wonderful place to stop. I'll definitely be back

Janey's Coffee Co & Bodega is truly a treasure. Set back from the main road (Cave Creek), I was…read moremildly surprised at how busy it was on a late Sunday Afternoon. I say "mildly suprised" because once we walked up to the actual coffee house we heard the live music on the large back patio. One of our absolutely favorite local artist, Aaron Howard was performing, and he definitely brings in a crowd. It was busy, as I mentioned, but not too crowded, and we found a good table towards the back. As it was the begging of the hot weather this spring, we were very grateful for the generous-sized table umbrellas. But first, we went inside the Bodega to order a Beer and a snack. They have a great selection of Beer and wine! And since we were still 2 hours or so away from dinner, we decided to grab a veggie & cheese board, which had a nice variety of cruditè and humas. It was very satisfying for 2 adults. We spent.a total of about 2 hours there and left there knowing we would be coming back to Janey's. Side note: For those of you who need accessibility, I myself am on an electric scooter for ambulating. The parking lot is dirt and only has a couple of handicap parking spots. But no space is more than approximately 150 ft from the entrance to Janey's. Once you get to the building, it is very easy to get in and out of the main bodega, with wide, level doorways. The doors were propped open when we visited. I did not utilize the restroom on this visit.

However, what' will keep us from going back is the no-personality service. Been there twice in the afternoon and both times the service was stoic. For us friendly service tops everything.
