Located within the Waterside community off of State Road in Bensalem. It is popular with the residents there. Open for breakfast and lunch they offer varied daily specials in addition to a pretty packed menu. Waterside may look like it's part of the Waterside community but it is open to the general public. Staff is super friendly given all the incessant "is my table ready?" questions that they get from folks. Things are pretty packed here but we got a table, and were helped and served quickly, and checked on regularly. Our table got the usual: Cactus Blossom, ~6 baskets of bread over the course of the meal, and individual meals. We shared a 12 oz. ribeye w/ ribs combo. Today it was actually not as good as usual, a bit more medium rather than medium rare, and the ribs were dry on the outer half. However, still a completely filling and enjoyable meal all things considered. Pro-tip: put the last bits of your Cactus Blossom in a bun with both butter and sauce for a treat that is much more unhealthy and delicious than you bargained for. The cuts and quality control for how the steaks are cooked are the high point - nothing available here is super high grade but you will get what you selected and it is generally cooked to your specification. However, the sides are hit or miss. Fries tend to be soggy and soft. The Caesar salad was once dependable as a "good" side but they seem to have reduced the quality and even the amount of dressing they put on it, maybe as a cost saving measure? To me the biggest issue here is the drastic inconsistency in quality of service. Sometimes you score a great server, but I'd say 75% of the time it is someone who seems to lack training in basic steps of service (getting the order right, following up on satisfaction a few minutes after food delivery, following up on drinks, etc.). It's a shame as this location had higher standards in the past.
