Was craving pizza and wanted to try a new place this day (real adventurous I know...). For parking there's a CVS lot nearby if you're really sneaky (there's no room to double park on the street) which is convenient (unless you have a South End parking permit). The interior is definitely a no thrills type of establishment and is NOT air conditioned (which can be a problem during a particularly hot day). I ordered a custom pizza and was out the door in about 15-20 minutes. In regards to the pizza I got (pineapple, jalapeno, bacon and onion) it wasn't bad but nothing spectacular. The sauce was pretty good but the whole pizza was a bit soggy and there was cheese falling everywhere when trying to eat it. Crust was so-so. We also got a garden salad that came with a piece of bread which was... also okay (I mean it is salad...) The owner was nice and the pizza (the one I had anyways) was okay. I just ordered food from here and it was awful omg I spent money and I am so disappointed the pizza was old and looked like it had mold on it, I threw everything in the trash. I waited damn near 20 Mins for cold and nasty food fries were soft and not even cooked with a crunch. The chicken was bland no seasoning flour or anything just chicken out in oil. My husband and I started going to Pizza Stop when I was an impatient at Boston Medical Center about a year ago. We asked the nurses where to get pizza that was good and flat out everyone said to go to Pizza Stop! During my long stay at BMC we must have ordered from them 5 or 6 times, the pizza is AMAZING!!!!! This pizza is GREEK STYLE pizza and the crust is Greek Style, crunchy, thin, cooked in a pan and if you are are a crust lover like I am, this is the place for you! If you are looking for hand tossed and stretched Italian Style pizza, you might not like it here but "don't yuck on my yum"! A few months later I found out I have Stage 4 Metestatic Cancer in my Kidney and lymph nodes, and in the area again but at a different hospital.in the Longword area. Happily in one of my first nights in town we order our favorite pizza in all our Boston and when my husband went in, the owner remembered him! My Husband told him I was pretty sick and he made us a huge piece of fried dough with sugar, cinnamon, and powdered sugar on it and told him to bring it to me! No charge! I thought that was great he remembered us and even greater he sent me a little treat! It was not the cost of the fried dough, it was the kind gesture that really touched me! I'm back in the hospital again And nearly died on the OR Table last week, but thankfully made it out of a critical situation when I ended up having zero kidney function and now that I can eat FOOD, tonight we will be ordering a large, light sauce, sausage, Black Olive and Eggplant pizza, well done and some onion Rings ( thick yummy beer battered), fries and a sub to split, probably steak and cheese after reading all the reviews here on Yelp! I ordered a small steak bomb sub only to be told that they only have one size so I took it anyway. It cost $10.95. I asked for extra cheese. When it was time to checkout I also grabbed a small 20 oz. Sprite. I was told the total was $15.95. So I was charged $5.00 more for an additional piece of provolone cheese and a small soda. When I asked the woman behind the counter, the wife of the owner, about it she said, "Too bad." And that was that. The $10.95 sandwich measured 8 inches too by the way. What an absolute RIP OFF!! I regret showing my support, I regret suggesting to ALL of my friends that live within delivery distance to support them and I regret stupidly agreeing to this inflated price at all. Stephen runs a great restaurant. He always makes sure my food is prepared the way I like it. We live right around the corner and I eat here often. The subs are fresh and tasty. I like the grilled chicken. The pizzas are really good too and they also sell slices. I just tried the steak tips with rice and salad last night and they were good. Marinated and tasty. As soon as you walk in, you can see that this is a run-of the mill pizza parlor that serves pizza, calzones, and a few other assorted dishes. Nothing cheap (jk it's actually pretty cheap), nothing deep. For the price you pay, the pizza slices are actually pretty big. Greasy large pieces of dough with lots of toppings for you to gorge on. Sadly, that's the only bright side as I feel that I have had better pizza in Boston. The fish and chips were decent as well though the fries were greasier than I would have wanted. The fish was nothing special until you squeezed that lemon on (it was actually quite game changing). Note to anyone ordering the fish and chips: be prepared to wait 20 minutes or so if you order on the spot. The service was great though and the cashier kept me in the loop for how long the fish and chips were going to take. This place used to be called Pizza Stop, and it was good. Now it's called Boston Pizza Stop & Cafe, and it's still good. The food we ordered (subs and a steak tip dinner) were good, and the quantity: price ratio was fair. But the standout of the meal was the service. No joke, there is one very attractive black woman who takes the orders and manages the cash register. The only reason I mention that she's black is because it may be a way of identifying her from other women who may work the cash register during other shifts. It's definitely not a racial thing. Not only is she beautiful, but she puts to shame a ton of servers at various restaurants I've been to around Boston. I don't know her name, but I'll call her Connie. There are several examples of how great the service is. First, a friend of mine had to use her laptop, and there are no outlets in the eating area. So, Connie says, "I'm sorry, but we don't have any plugs for your laptop, but you can come behind the counter and plug it in and use it." It's tough to imagine anyone at another place making that kind of offer to a customer. Second, she brought our food to the table. Huh? When is the last time that you went into a sub place and they brought food to you? Usually, they just bark out the order and you have to go and pick it up. Third, one person in my group needed a plastic knife to cut her food. Connie apologized, and then she said, "Just wait a moment." I told her that she shouldn't worry about it, but suddenly she was out the door, and several minutes later, she comes back with a bunch of plastic knives. Since all the knives looked clean, I'm assuming that she ran to another restaurant to get them. Heck, maybe she even ran to the Boston Medical Center cafeteria and grabbed them. But I've never seen a cashier go to such lengths to make sure that the customer is happy. I told Connie that she could work for any of Boston's finest restaurants. She has that rare mix of beauty, a great honest smile, wanting to make sure that the customer is taken care of without being too overbearing, and going out of her way to make sure that customers are satisfied. And she does it all in an incredibly genuine way (as opposed to some of the saccharine and fake fawning that goes on at certain famous Boston restaurants). She's the kind of person that will keep customers returning. For a place like this, I never put more than $1 in the tip jar, but I happily threw in $5. Connie (or whatever your real name is), keep up the great work. I suppose the only negative about the place is its location. It's not exactly in the greatest looking neighborhood, but it's also not in a bad neighborhood. And if you get hit crossing the street before or after the meal, Boston Medical Center's Emergency Room is right there, so how convenient is that? read more

Ordered to go here because I was starving. We ordered chicken wings and a buffalo finger salad. We didn't have to wait long for our food! They make pretty awesome salads! I'm not a bit fan of salads, although there's looked especially good! It had olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, a huge peperoncino pepper, and lettuce of course! The buffalo fingers were just perfect for the salad, add a different kind of crunch! We got a side of pita bread and these cute buns that they made with extra pizza dough! SO CUTE! The people who work there have always been very nice and I have not had a bad experience yet with them. The wings were awesome! I had the option of having them breaded or not, which I liked. I've always preferred my wings fried without being breaded. The one not so great part was the fact that I got a few very small pieces of wings, which probably would count as half a wing lol. They literally looked like they were missing half of itself lol. But they still counted them in as one. I didn't mind because by the time I was nearly done, I was already stuffed. This is probably the worst pizzeria in Boston. The food is just not good. The pizza is not only not appealing or appetizing but also expensive, if you can believe it. They charge extra for just about everything you add to an order, including what it already comes with! One of the owners was actually standing at the register and around the food coughing. Customer service is at an all time low here. While there I actually witnessed an argument between another customer and an owner when they questioned why the price of her meal was so high. Restaurant itself was not very clean, one cook smoking right outside and didnt wash their hands after, no gloves or hair nets around the food by one of the other cooks. Wow, the health department really needs to pay them a visit. The dough was light, airy, and crispy, the cheese was gooey and delicious, and the toppings were plentiful. The wing were fried to perfection and juicy. I don't know much about pizza, but I needed to quickly feed a small group of hard-working movers. I found Pizza Stop on Yelp. The owner was very helpful, told me to order a cheese pizza, and that more people like pepperoni than sausage. I expected to double-park and run in to pick up my order. But there was plenty of metered spaces available on a Saturday, 6pm. The owner was extremely pleasant. When I turned down his offer of extra soda, he gave me bananas, which everyone had fun eating. "Stopped" in for a slice and it hit the spot perfectly. The crust was very unique in that it wasn't too doughy, nor was it too greasy. The toppings were fresh and tasty. I especially liked the steak meat and sausage toppings. There are a few Formica table booths to sit at and it's very dated.
